I have to start out this recap with a GIANT SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. *Deep breath* Um…..so…..yeah, I’m a little excited that the show is back. Just a tiny bit is all. Before we get into the episode proper, did any of you watch the recap episode that aired right before the season two premiere? I have to say I was really disappointed because the listing made it sound like we were going to get a more in depth look at season one instead of a lamely narrated rehash. Best part of the episode?
Sigh. That just makes me miss him even more. Maybe he too has a long lost twin hidden somewhere in FairyLand.
We start out the episode in the city. A guy walks down the street listening to his i-pod. We’ve never seen him before so I go to my normal response for guys we’ve never seen before and think “BAE!”
He gets home and notices his window is open and as he tries to close it it crashes down on his head over and over and over again, killing him he drops his i-pod. Damn. I hope it’s not the 320gig one; they don’t make those anymore.
He seems a little annoyed, but certainly not as pissed as I’d be if I dropped MY i-pod. No time to ponder that because a pigeon arrives, dropping off a little note. Well, a postcard really, saying “Greetings from Storybrooke”…..and on the back…..
My head is already reeling and we’re not even five minutes in! Who the hell is this dude??? Is it Bae? Why would he be Bae? Who else could he be? And who the hell is sending him postcards from Storybrooke?!?!?!? I’m so confused and I fucking LOVE IT.
From our newest mystery man, we move into FairyLand where two riders gallop toward some unknown destination. We see that they are heading toward a palace, and soon enough we realize
Prince Phillip kisses her, waking her up as his stoic mystery companion looks on from behind his (or her) helmet. I am already bouncing up and down because I KNOW who this is!!!
It has to be, right? Why else would the helmet have an Asian feel to it? If it’s not her I’m gonna be disappointed.
Anyway, I neglected to mention that right before Phillip wakes up Aurora he tells Probably Mulan that if this works they can’t tell Aurora everything. At least not right away. I guess he’s thinking that after that long nap she’s not going to be quite ready to jump into a three way, huh?
