   I have only read the first page of your recap and am already swooning! I was so scared when I looked over the list of shows recapped and didn’t see OUAT there! I am SO HAPPY that you are back recapping this show, PottyMouth – I love it when someone who loves and enjoys a show is doing the recap!

   I also think Mystery Man at the beginning is Bae. I love the time twist. And that we got Mulan and Aurora in the same episode. Although Aurora annoyed me for some reason.

   No matter how many times they use “I will find you” I get teary eyed every time. I love that PC and SW weren’t bother at all by the fact that their daughter is around the same age as them.

   I love that the writers didn’t hold back. And love that they didn’t reveal Dr.Whale’s identity yet. I wonder if it’s just PC who doesn’t know who he is, or is it everyone. My hear was racing at the end of the episode.

   I can’t wait for the Lancelot episode. And looking forward to seeing more of FairyLand.

   I wish I could help you out with necklace symbol, I did take Japanese for a little while, but unfortunately Kanji wasn’t my strong suit.

   WHEW !!!!!!!!!! and we are back– yayyayayayayayay and yay!!!!

   We ll my allergies were a little active too–I watched the summary episode (thought it would give more background too) and the “itchy allergy eyes” began when Henry died and hit up again when Snow and James (he cries good too) hugged Granny and Red and then met their Emma. Sigh…..

   OK–to the business— I thought it was Bae boppin’ around NYC but of course that got scratched when the post card came from Storybrook. The fact that her really isnt “dead” makes me wonder as I type this–maybe he is Bae. Bae was sent to where there is no magic–but Aurora is cursed by the fairy to sleep for X number of years….hhmmmmmm
   It was awesome to see Mulan–can always use another girl (“woman” heeheehee-love it) to kick some ass.

   Doc Whale is Peter Pan I think—going on Capt Hook coming into the cast and so there is a need to set up some characters. I may take a real leap—Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde.

   Where is Pinocchio??? Isnt anyone going to go to his room –Gepetto, Archie — and help him?
   I thought the clock stopped to when the curse came–but it started again with a new curse?? ANd poor library—still closed–all boarded up!!!
   Can they leave Storybrook now?
   Does Rumpy have to be beastly b/c his “tale” with Belle calls for it???

   Am so happy The Show is back!!!!

   Oh yeah–best line—Thats neither here nor there. We were under a curse.–bbwwahhaahaaa

   *deep breaths* Okay, Okay, Okay. I’m sleep deprived, have work soon and haven’t bothered to get dressed but PottyMouth’s recap for OUaT is up!!!!!!

   I’m going to have to read this when I get home but I wanted to share some theories I’ve been discussing with a fellow OUaT fanatic.

   I really do think it’s Bae at the beginning but someone froze framed the scene and pointed out different things that make it seem like that’s the white rabbit? Bae has to know August somehow though, I’m in the realm of thinking that they ran into each other at some point, how else would Pinnochio who came to our world as such a little boy, know enough about Bae to trick Rumpy last season? I also wonder if maybe Bae is in Storybrooke and maybe he got to Belle and thats why she came back? Helping him to turn Rumpy back to the side of good.

   Also, the RumpyxBelle kiss had me a bit a flutter.

   As for Whale, I’ve been wracking my brain over him from last season, the only new clue is when he told charming “You’re not my prince”. I’ve heard people say he’s Humpty Dumpty, Peter Pan or Frankenstein’s Monster. I don’t think he’s Peter Pan because wouldn’t Peter Pan be a young boy like Hansel and Gretel? Or if Hook is still in Fairytaleland wouldn’t Pan be there too? As for Frankenstein’s monster, which is interesting and fits with the docotor parallel, its not really a fairytale. Though they have used Werewolves and Wraiths so maybe?

   Side note: Did anyone else notice how Snow was still calling Charming by his Storybrooke name even after the curse? Is it because they’re technically still stuck in that life? It was weird for me.

   I’ve blabbed a lot and I haven’t even gotten to the awesome cap, I’m just overly excited.

   When I’m home from work it’s Presidential debate, hard cider and OUaT recap time! I can’t wait to here more theories from everyone!!!

   I am also thrilled that you are recapping the show PottyMouth! I just don’t know what to expect from Mr. Gold and Regina. Will they be in both worlds still like they always were or has that changed too? I mean, they always knew what was going on, unlike the others. Could Emma and MM/SW meet up with them in Fairyland?

   Oh, and I LOVED the Princess Bride reference once again – I almost fainted when I realized that is was released 25 years ago. Damn I feel old.

   Can’t wait til Sunday!!

   I loved the twist that certain people were left behind in Fairytale land…hopefully Phillip isn’t dead for good, because I wanted to see more of his relationship with Mulan. Aurora wasn’t interesting to me, but I did notice that she made a mention of Maleficent putting a similar curse on her mother, so she may not be the original Sleeping Beauty.

   I have no idea about who Dr. Whale is, but I think we’re supposed to find out in the first couple of episodes this season!

    Maybe Dr. Whale is the whale in the Pinocchio story? I say this because the characters’ names do often have something to do with the tale that they came from. Or maybe Dr. Whale has something to do with the Little Mermaid and so his “prince” would be King Triton or someone else from under the ocean?

    As for the guy in the beginning, I think he must be Bae. The postcard is probably from August/Pinocchio (don’t know where he got the carrier pigeon and how he became non-wooden again). The two of them (as far as we know) are the only two fairy tale characters who made it to our world before Regina’s curse. I’m sure that they have met each other somewhere down the line, especially since August/Pinnochio knew what Bae looked like.

    The main thing I’m wondering is why was part of Fairy Tale land untouched by Regina’s curse?

    Wendy, I also feel Dr. Whale is the whale from Pinocchio. Let’s see him interact with the blue fairy. If Jiminy Cricket can be human, so can a whale. Can’t wait to see!

    My only qualm with the guy from the opening being Bae is that it assumes that Bae knew about the curse. We know that he doesn’t know firsthand, since he left long before the curse even became an issue and nobody from Fairyland knew where he had gone. I guess except for the Blue Fairy. If he ran into Pinocchio at some point in life, it’s possible that P. told him about it, but then who sent the message? P. turned back into a puppet, and since that was the Blue Fairy’s doing and not Regina’s, I doubt if breaking the curse would have fixed him up. I also wonder if it’s significant that the message came by carrier pigeon. Nobody uses them anymore.

    I didn’t like Aurora at all. She was so whiny and seemed very needy too. I wish the wraith had eaten her, tbh. Then Mulan could comfort Phillip…..by any means necessary. Ohohoho.
    Mulan was cool though, and I like that they’re branching out into some of the more unexpected stuff.

    About Dr. Whale…these are the questions man. I’d be a little surprised if he was Monstro, just because to me, it doesn’t make sense for him to be human. And to be a doctor at that lol. Jiminy being human makes sense, because he started off that way and was turned into a cricket. Unless they make that a part of Monstro’s backstory, he shouldn’t be human in this world. Maybe he’s Moby-Dick. Is that allowed, or will they get sued? Or maybe he’s Dr. Frankenstein. Or maybe he’s neither… he’s always all up in Snow White’s grill and seems to have some real enmity towards Prince Charming. Maybe he’s an original character who had some kind of involvement with Snow…like Stealthy. But Prince Charming doesn’t know him, so how possible can that be?
    This is hard.

    I love Rumple, so I’m glad that he has Belle back.

    I’d be so weirded out that my parents were the same age as me.
    But I bet Henry is excited to have a young and swashbuckling grandpa. They can have so much fun together.

    Regina cannot have her powers forever. Maybe Emma was like a charger, and she just recharged her powers for a quick minute. Maybe Regina will wake up tomorrow and they will be gone. I hope.
    If she got her powers back while no one else had any, that would be so scary. Sucks how the only really magical person in the town disappeared. She could have helped them.

    I belly-laughed when Charming face planted into the ground. I love him, but whoo, I lolled. All that yelling and running and being heroic, only for it to end in such abject failure. And the way that Regina was just standing there looking at him in the awkward silence that followed brought tears to my eyes.

    Actually, where the fuck is Jefferson? If the spell is broken, he can have his daughter back. You’d think he’d be all over that.

    I have been waiting for this recap! I’ve only read the first page but I had to comment because I’m so excited that this is back! I’m also so thrilled that someone who loves the show it recapping, they’re always better when that happens!

    I want to quickly comment on the fact that I LOVE the long responses on here, I tend to do that and often feel like I’m talking too much but knowing that others are doing it makes me feel better.

    I have a theory!!! I think that the “Mystery Man” is Bealfire AND Henry’s dad! I can’t decide who’s contacting him but either way he wouldn’t be able to get into FairyTale Land prior to the curse. I feel like maybe Henry did it, he found Baelfire but doesn’t know it’s also his dad…He found Emma so I wouldn’t put it past him!

    Did you know we don’t know Charming’s real name?! James is the name of the twin that Charming replaced. This confirms my theory that Charming is actually Jack of Jack and the Beanstalk!

    I cannot figure out Dr. Whale. I feel like his name is throwing everyone off and it’s his profession we should focus on. Snow is a teacher, Charming helps abandoned animals and looks so freaking dashing, The Blue Fairy is a nun, Jiminy is a therapist, Graham was the Sheriff, etc. (Regina and Gold don’t count because they know who they are). They all reflect something about them…I don’t recall any FairyTale healers but we won’t have to wonder too long, episode 5 is called “The Doctor” so that should answer that question lol!

    I may have more to say once I finish reading but I just had to get these thoughts out now

    Oh how I miss the Huntsman PottyMouth, the wound is still fresh but seeing his delightful face in your recaps helps ease the pain…

    I think it’s Bae and that he and August met in the human world. Bae learned of the curse from August and that his dad was in the world under the curse and August learned of Rumpy and how to trick him.

    I went from disliking Aurora and Loving Mulan to being neutral on both. Aurora was a bit whiny until the end when she finally stood up to Mulan treating her like a dainty little flower. Aurora did make a sacrifice too, it just wasn’t the same as Mulan’s.

    Again, Rumpy and Belle. Totally misty. Not going to lie about how much I love that pairing and how much I love the old Rump.

    *sob* PottyMouth I love you SO much right now for the Princess Bride reference.

    I really hope Emma and Snow aren’t trapped there the whole season, only because of the disconnect and the fact that Gold and Regina can pretty much run wild. Since Emma is made of magic, can’t Emma get them back?

    For every question answered, 5 more come up….

    Pikey! The Pied Piper was my best guess from the other day considering he was leading people and the Pied Piper was a “doctor” of sorts, diagnosing the rat problem and then leading them to drown. Still doesn’t explain the whale part….Whatever it is, it’s going to be awesome when they reveal it!

    I vote we can have all stories—We had a teeny “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest “reference with Nurse Ratched and the Chief in the hospital basement. Hey the library is aboarded up–I say that means ALL stories are fair game.

    I cant wait to watch the show again—and read more comments.

    although the one night stand exchange was good comedy, i had the biggest laugh when jiminy runs up to emma and co. , explains that whale is leading them all to kill regina and grumpy goes “great. lets watch”.

    whale has to be someone with a HUGE grudge against regina, something that goes back into their fairyland days, and also someone who either knows who charming really is or is from another kingdom altogether.

    the dude in the beginning, i have no idea who he is, peter pan (best peanut butter on earth !) is my best guess given the fact that he was waiting by an open window the way that the kids used to wait for PP to show. i’d have to think that he was in our world when the curse happened, and got stuck here. he probably ran into august and got the info on the curse.

    i didn’t like how they went back and forth using their storybrooke / fairyland names, referring to each other as mary margaret or david, when the remember who they really are, i would have thought it would be nothing but snow / charming. that’s a minor point, but it was kind of sloppy writing. also, how would charming know how to drive a car ? dude was in one when the curse broke, then high tailed it back to the scene where he met snow in the middle of the street.

    mulan was about to straight up murder snow and emma. should be funny to see how they get out of this.

    *Dancing around the Oncer club room* I watched the pre-show and was very disappointed. I thought we would get some insight in the show, nope recap. I did get misty eyed when my favorite moments were shown. On to the show…I think ‘Mystery Man’ is Bae(but of course ALL mystery men are Bae). I also am really feeling a Peter Pan/Bae vibe coming*fingers crossed*. Hey some strange FairyLand guy and an ‘Asian themed’ asexual ‘person’…Mulan(I just know it)!!!!! Oh yea, something about a sleeping chick. Good gravy, is there a true love unkiss? Please put Aurora back to sleep…shut up. I’m not a Harry Potter fan so when the wraith came flying out I had no reference to go to. I looked at the demon/ghost/whatthehell thing and was actually a little scared.

    I just lost it during the ‘reunions’, my favs all in one place just loving all over each other(man that sounds dirty)…I had a crying good time. “Gram Pa’..blah blah blah…it was cute and hilarious at the same time. I totally understand where Emma is coming from at the moment Snow wanted to have ‘family time’, a few minutes ago 1.everyone got the memories back and 2. magic is here. MM/Snow/Mom(what should she call her) we can talk about this later. I love the fact Henry wants to protect EQ and the looked on poor Emma’s face*sigh*. Loved…”if the Blue Fairy is right and magic is here…we could be walking into a slaughter”…everyone starts running towards Regina’s house. I loved our gang .

    Soooooo, Dr. Whale isn’t from Snow White’s kingdom…he could be anyone. It does explain why he is PISSED with EQ.

    While watching the episode I kept getting pissy over the Mulan//Sleeping Beauty story line because they weren’t showing their characters in StoryBrook, well color me surprised when I learn they are in FairyLand…show you got me good.

    Lana/EQ needs to get an award for her scared face, seriously when she knew the wraith was coming for her…it was so real to me. I’m so happy I’m not the only one who laughed out loud when Charming fell on the hat. Mulan looks like she is going to show our girls ‘revenge’ Mulan-style.

    I have to apologize for my late night exhausted comment…disjointed thought patterns.
    “Gram Pa’..blah blah blah…is suppose to say “Gramp Pa…bwhahahahaha.

    ‘cont…I have to first say that I like Emilie/Claire/Belle as a brunette more than a blond. Belle is going to be an important part to the Rumpy story line this season.She is going to save the characters probably on a few occasions she she will now be Rumpy’s conscience. I love their reunion and how Rumpy’s love looked real, I think his love for Belle may even be more that he has for Bae. Once again He is the one who summoned the wraith causing Phillip to die and Snow and Emma being teleported. Belles spot on comment about him playing with words made me feel all tingly inside, she is going to give him a run for his money and I’m excited.

    I think Emma ‘activated’ EQ with her touch and she now has her full power. I don’t think Regina remembers Jefferson because the wraith ‘stole/erased’ her some of her memories while trying to steal her soul. I also think the silver inscribed tea set Rumpy had while in his store when the gang showed up means something(help/ideas). I think Bae is Peter Pan and August/Pinn is/was a Lost Boy, which makes sense since as my dear WendyBird mentioned all the information August/Pinn had on Rumpy. If Whale(could be Smee though) turns out to be Peter I think I’ll be slightly pissed.

    Sidenote, did Henry look different to anyone else…shorter to me for some reason. I was so annoyed when they wouldn’t keep the flow of names, either StoryBrook or FairyLand…not a mixture of both in the same scenes.

    @Moli The characters don’t transform when entering different worlds. Remember August was still in his Pinocchio clothes, when he showed up. So it’s understandable that SW would still be in her Storybrooke clothes.

    Yayyyyy Molly! I’m with you on the being pissed if Whale is Peter. If my username isn’t any indication, Peter Pan is one of my favorite stories and Whale is a terrible person!

    I like the idea of the Wraith stealing memories, I wonder that if they get Phillips soul thingy back will he not have memories of Aurora and will then he be stuck in the big ol’ love triangle. I have to say, I’m slightly annoyed we get another awesome ass kicking female and they dump her into a love triangle.

    I love Belle and Rumpy. I think I just needed to say that again, I think we could see Rumpy be pulled to the side of the greater good and towards redemption, or plunged into even greater darkness.

    The only tea set from stories that are important (that i can remember) is the one from Beauty and the Beast and the ones from Alice in Wonderland. But didn’t we already see Alice’s tea set in Rumpy’s shop?

    Henry looked different to me too, but I think it’s a over the summer growth spurt. He looks lankier to me this time around and his face thinned out a bit.

    I really hope the name situation gets worked out, I keep being confused…

    Mystery Man had a huge sign on his wall that said “Cleaner and Hatter.” Because of that, I just assumed the note was from Jefferson and the two of them had been partners or something. That may have been dumb of me, but I do wonder what that sign meant. Someone above said something about the White Rabbit? I guess that could work — could you tell what the other “signs” in the room were that led to that conclusion?

    I lost the text that had everything that was suppose to prove he was the white rabbit and the blog post was taken down (so I assume it didn’t actually work out?) but apparently there was a tea cup, pair of white gloves, a pocket watch and something with a heart on it. I’m curious to figure out who he is. I’m leaning so hard towards Bae especially after the little tidbit we learned in tonight’s episode!

    I actally thought that the episode was a bit forced. Maybe they just need a little time in front of the camera again to settle back in to place. Not that it was bad. Because it was OK. I didn’t really care for the Mulan character either. She semed really out of place with her performance. Maybe I expect to much. I do think that as the season progresses, that they will settle back into their parts and once again put on some stellar performances…

    Oh MY gosh, PottyMouth! Your Princess Bride reference had me laughing so hard i was crying!!! And the fact you finished it just made it all the more hysterical to me!

    I’m with you on being totally excited about the new season! I have to admit that during the summer I thought “Meh, I’ll probably not get all *crazy* about it like I did last year.” dude! I was totally wrong!

    Anyway, since i’m playing catch-up on recaps i’m gonna keep this one short. Just had to let you know I LOVED the Princess Bride reference! Now I’m off to get a peanut!

    LOL! These recaps are a blast! As I said, I’m a later arrival to the Gasm so I’ve been going through all your recaps in an awesome orgy of snark!
    Gotta second the love for the Princess Bride reference & for your great combo of snark & total love for the show. it’s also kind of fun for me to read all the theories since I know what’s coming.
