Spencer is outside facebook stalking CeCe and adding her to a VERY creepy timeline she has constructed concerning Ali’s murder. For someone who is always complaining that she has to study she sure does have a lot of free time. Toby interrupts and tries to get Spencer to confess why Hanna lied to him about needing him at the dance. She gives him some half-ass answer about going on a tip hunt with Jason. If I was Toby, I would be more concerned as to why my girlfriend is hanging out so much with her hotter half-brother. Toby doesn’t get why Spencer is so concerned with proving Garret was the killer because he says there was a time when evidence was made to look like he was Ali’s killer.

Not every girl likes candles…especially on a first date.
Nate walks up to Emily who is working at the coffee shop (Is this after school or did she skip school to make lattes?) and asks her for help in finding a gift for Jenna who he is meeting for a date that night. Emily is reluctant to help and then Nate mentions that Jenna knew Maya as she drove her home from school a few times. How did Maya manage to drive Jenna home when she was always up Emily’s ass? Hanna meets with Aria at her home where they find a Ouija board on the kitchen island. Hanna pricks her finger on the planchette which has a note that says “See how easy it is for me to get your blood” on it. Hanna freaks out that A might be in her house but Aria tells her to calm her shit and explain the Ouija board significance to her.

I’m convinced it’s always the other person moving it.
FLASHBACK! Hanna and Mona are playing with the Ouija board a few days after Ali has been reported missing. Hanna is skeptical and wants to ask if Shawn has his VCard still while Mona says they should ask about Ali. She accuses Hanna of believing she is still alive deep down. I’m pretty sure this is one of those things that Marlene King will say was a clue later on when Ali is revealed to be alive this whole time. My theory! Mona asks what happened to Ali and the words they receive spell out “Alive” and with a flash of lightning, Hanna spots Ali staring at her from the back door. Mona apparently didn’t see her as she is gone with another lightning flash. Aria says at that point Mona was already A so she could have hired someone to scare Hanna. Aria then asks if anyone else knew about this incident because it could prove that Mona was working with someone or working alone. These girls still think Mona is A all by herself? Did they not read the books or are they just that stupid to think someone could pull all of this off by themselves? Remember that A pushed Ian and moved his body and Mona isn’t particularly strong. Anyway Aria decides that she will go visit Mona for answers. A plant conveniently falls outside the back porch prompting Hanna to volunteer Aria’s house for a sleepover.

Unless Mona has powerful farts there is no way she could have pushed the pot over.
If you like it, spread it!:

first of all, thanks for filling in SG and great recap! the “look at all the fucks i’m giving” make me snort/laugh.
second, i’m an adult and everything but, this episode creeped me out. something about a locked children’s psych ward in the dark with someone humming and brushing a doll’s hair is innately freaky. and maybe i’m just slow but is mona actually trying to help them now? she was talking in code so obviously she knew the new A put that recorder in the doll and she didn’t want A to know what she was telling them. but then why not just say it earlier? ugh i hate that this show makes me try to rationalize it when it’s pointless!
I’m an adult, too, and I literally said quite loudly to the tv ….. “Why do you keep going in their backyard!?!” Weirdo.
Maybe I should stop watching shows for tweenagers.
I’m another adult hooked on this show, tho’ I also get annoyed with how stupid those girls are sometimes. I think I’ve forgotten how dopey I, and my friends, was/were when we were teens. At least that explains why I keep telling them to not go in there or don’t do that. Still, I want to know who A is.
Good recap, SG.
