Jason is being stalked by Spencer who wants to ask how he is doing after finding out about the anklet clearing Garret. He reveals that his father isn’t too thrilled and he will be picking him up from the airport that night. Spencer mentions CeCe and Jason says that everything with her is intense and that it sort of ended on a bad note. What’s with people in this show running off right before they reveal something big?? You can’t spend two seconds finishing your thought train? Emily and Nate are in CeCe’s boutique looking for a gift when CeCe confronts Emily on her feelings for Nate since she clearly doesn’t want to help look for a gift. She says that Jenna is kind of bad news and CeCe figures out that Emily is the lesbian one that had a crush on Ali. Nate finds a scarf and asks Emily for her opinion and she says it isn’t her taste. Nate also finds some earrings which Emily recognizes are similar to what she purchased for Maya a week before she vanished. She asks Nate how he knew Maya had something similar and he says that he doesn’t know but probably saw a picture or something. I’m going to forget this scene because it’s one of those stupid red herrings that the producers like to throw in. Nate tells Emily to stop busting his chops and then confesses that he wouldn’t have to buy gifts if the hottest girl in Rosewood were available and liked guys. Um…she was dating your cousin dude and you know she is still in love with her. You can’t be dropping I like you bombs like that.

You never knew about this guy but he knew about earrings you bought Maya a week before she disappeared?
Aria’s mom walks into the coffee shop to meet her date when she meets Emily’s Boss. He sort of flirts with her and tries to calm her nerves before her date with Ted. Didn’t he go out with Ashley in the last episode? For a church pastor this dude is kind of a whore. They end up going out to eat ice cream but Ella isn’t impressed with Ted and sort of looks real bored. Aria goes to speak with Mona whose status has changed to allow visitors but only supervised in the Rec Room. Mona asks Aria if she would like to play a game and starts building a card house and explaining that you can build anything with a good foundation. Aria tells her that Hanna is sorry she couldn’t make it which prompts Mona to ask the nurse for her meds. She tells Aria that she has 25 seconds to explain herself and then counts down. Damn, Mona does not play with these bitches. Aria starts to threaten Mona and says that if she ever cared about Hanna she will tell her who is behind everything because Hanna is in trouble. Mona says she is not the one that is after her and to tell Hanna that she is sorry as she walks away because visiting hours are over.

LOL at Aria trying to intimidate Mona
If you like it, spread it!:

first of all, thanks for filling in SG and great recap! the “look at all the fucks i’m giving” make me snort/laugh.
second, i’m an adult and everything but, this episode creeped me out. something about a locked children’s psych ward in the dark with someone humming and brushing a doll’s hair is innately freaky. and maybe i’m just slow but is mona actually trying to help them now? she was talking in code so obviously she knew the new A put that recorder in the doll and she didn’t want A to know what she was telling them. but then why not just say it earlier? ugh i hate that this show makes me try to rationalize it when it’s pointless!
I’m an adult, too, and I literally said quite loudly to the tv ….. “Why do you keep going in their backyard!?!” Weirdo.
Maybe I should stop watching shows for tweenagers.
I’m another adult hooked on this show, tho’ I also get annoyed with how stupid those girls are sometimes. I think I’ve forgotten how dopey I, and my friends, was/were when we were teens. At least that explains why I keep telling them to not go in there or don’t do that. Still, I want to know who A is.
Good recap, SG.
