Spencer meets with Hanna in the meantime to discuss Spencer’s mom filing a motion to stop the court order to get Hanna’s blood. Jason pulls up behind Spencer and Hanna sees that his father is with him and gets nervous. Spencer doesn’t understand what Hanna’s concerns are and prompts her to go talk with him. Later, Hanna does meet with Mr. DiLaurentis and apologizes for what she did and that she has nothing to do with digging up Ali’s body. He stops her cold and says that a friend wouldn’t do what Hanna did and that he used to think it was a childish prank but that she has gotten crueler with age. That night, Aria walks out of the asylum and meets up with Hanna. Hanna decides that the information Aria got wasn’t good enough and goes to break in to speak with Mona further. Aria says that you don’t let friends break into asylums alone and accompanies her. Um, some friend you are because earlier you called her a thief!

If looks could kill Hanna would be next to Ali
Emily meets with Nate and tries to explain that Jenna used to date Garret but this only makes him more interested in her as she could have been his next victim. Emily leaves the coffee shop and runs into CeCe who calls her Americana and then asks for her phone to give her her number. Except CeCe doesn’t give her her number, she calls and threatens Jenna not to ever hang out with her boyfriend Nate or she would scratch her eyes out. Emily is offended that CeCe would threaten Jenna’s eyesight and says that she used to be blind. Emily she wasn’t really going to scratch her eyes out…geeze. CeCe asks if she should call her back and say it was just a joke and that she didn’t shoot a unicorn she was trying to help her friend out. CeCe is awesome, she has so much more life in her than these basic bitches. CeCe leaves a stunned Emily…or maybe she’s turned on by her fierceness. You can never tell with Emily because she always has the same face for every emotion. She then walks by the restaurant Nate was to meet Jenna at and sees him sitting by himself in the corner. Dang, Jenna couldn’t at least call to cancel??

Um she used to be blind!

Look at all the fucks I am giving
Ella heads back to the coffee shop this time looking for Emily but runs into her boss again. Um, if Emily just left and the town is pretty much surrounded by a little park…wouldn’t you have seen her walking?? Ella flirts with Emily’s boss who reveals that he owns the place and his name is Zack. He offers her some day old pastries since he can’t sell them (gross, you can’t give her something fresh?) and she says you can’t sell someone her age pastries at all. UGH…he knows your daughter is the same age as his employee you don’t have to shove that you are pushing 40 in his face. He tells her she can stay and she gives him a nervous giggle. Dang Ella…has it been that long for you?

You get giddy over stale pastry but not fresh ice cream?
If you like it, spread it!:

first of all, thanks for filling in SG and great recap! the “look at all the fucks i’m giving” make me snort/laugh.
second, i’m an adult and everything but, this episode creeped me out. something about a locked children’s psych ward in the dark with someone humming and brushing a doll’s hair is innately freaky. and maybe i’m just slow but is mona actually trying to help them now? she was talking in code so obviously she knew the new A put that recorder in the doll and she didn’t want A to know what she was telling them. but then why not just say it earlier? ugh i hate that this show makes me try to rationalize it when it’s pointless!
I’m an adult, too, and I literally said quite loudly to the tv ….. “Why do you keep going in their backyard!?!” Weirdo.
Maybe I should stop watching shows for tweenagers.
I’m another adult hooked on this show, tho’ I also get annoyed with how stupid those girls are sometimes. I think I’ve forgotten how dopey I, and my friends, was/were when we were teens. At least that explains why I keep telling them to not go in there or don’t do that. Still, I want to know who A is.
Good recap, SG.
