Hanna and Aria sneak into the asylum and find Mona who is sitting creepily in the corner in the dark. Hanna cuts to the point and asks Mona to tell her what she knows. Mona starts to play around when Aria walks in and she then starts to spill why Mr. DiLaurentis doesn’t like Hanna. This makes Hanna FLASHBACK to her and Mona walking and discussing codes so they can talk about people in front of them. They stop at a flyer for Ali when Mr. DiLaurentis walks up yelling at Hanna about how could she do what she did and how it destroyed Ali’s mother. Hanna explains in the present to Aria that after the Ouija board incident she called Ali’s mom and told her that Ali was alive (which she kind of believed since she thought she saw her on the back porch). This was three days before Ali’s body was found and Ali’s parents never forgave Hanna for her mistake. While the girls are discussing this, Mona excapes so they go looking for her in the asylum. They walk around and discuss whether they believe she is still A. REALLY? She doesn’t have a cell phone and hasn’t had visitors since Hanna was there a few days ago…how would she be able to pull all this stuff off from inside her locked padded room? Hanna sees a picked lock with her tweezers and an open door to the Children’s Ward.

I think he wanted to bitch slap Hanna
Meanwhile, Jason is driving drunk around the four streets that make up Rosewood when he almost hits Spencer. He swerves around her and hits a parked car in front of her instead. She stops her car to check on him and realizes that he is chocolate wasted and tells him to move over. He tells her that he should go to jail to get justice on Garret and she says that this never happened. She drives off in his car LEAVING HER CAR WITH THE KEYS AND THE DOOR OPEN BEHIND THE ACCIDENT. Seriously Spencer?? I get that he was drunk and couldn’t drive but why are you involving your ass in his life and then leaving all kinds of evidence? You could have at least driven your car to the next block and parked it and THEN drove his car off. For someone with such good grades you really are stupid. I guess that is why she has to study all the damn time because she really isn’t smart.

Good Job Toretto

Spencer is so dumb…
Spencer arrives home and of course her puppy dog Toby is waiting for her. She tries to get his ass in gear to go get her car before the cops find it but he stalls her asking what is going on. She tells him that she had to give Jason a ride and that they need to get moving. As she reaches the back door, Wilden is waiting for her and barges in asking why her car was at the scene of a hit and run. Toby cockblocks and tells him that he picked Spencer up from school and they had been home all day. The reason they didn’t report the car stolen is because they didn’t know and that Spencer always left her doors unlocked. Wilden walks off temporarily buying the story and Toby further questions why Spencer is lying for Jason. She says that the accident would have ruined everything for him (and that affects you HOW?) and Toby tells her that he just committed a felony by lying to the cops for her. Pretty sure it would just be a misdemeanor, Plump Lips. Spencer makes Toby promise to keep the secret.

Can I start the Wilden is A theory or an I too late?
If you like it, spread it!:

first of all, thanks for filling in SG and great recap! the “look at all the fucks i’m giving” make me snort/laugh.
second, i’m an adult and everything but, this episode creeped me out. something about a locked children’s psych ward in the dark with someone humming and brushing a doll’s hair is innately freaky. and maybe i’m just slow but is mona actually trying to help them now? she was talking in code so obviously she knew the new A put that recorder in the doll and she didn’t want A to know what she was telling them. but then why not just say it earlier? ugh i hate that this show makes me try to rationalize it when it’s pointless!
I’m an adult, too, and I literally said quite loudly to the tv ….. “Why do you keep going in their backyard!?!” Weirdo.
Maybe I should stop watching shows for tweenagers.
I’m another adult hooked on this show, tho’ I also get annoyed with how stupid those girls are sometimes. I think I’ve forgotten how dopey I, and my friends, was/were when we were teens. At least that explains why I keep telling them to not go in there or don’t do that. Still, I want to know who A is.
Good recap, SG.
