Pretty Little Liars Recap: Misery Loves Company

Hanna and Emily are walking and see Meredith arguing with a pharmacist who won’t refill her prescription for Clonazepam. Isn’t this breaking some sort of HIPPA law and how did she get a prescription for that? Anxiety from sleeping around and hiding from someone’s wife? Meredith is denied her refill so she settles for boxes of OTC’s which wouldn’t happen in real life because the good shit is monitored since people use it to make meth. Toby finds Spencer in her kitchen and realizes that he dropped his key when he attacked Hanna and that Spencer now has it. Later that night he goes to retrieve it from Spencer’s house when Spencer catches and confronts him with helping Mona. Not even going to lie when I say I cried like a little bitch even though we knew this was eventually coming. Toby asks Spencer how long she knew and she shows him that id card from earlier…so she knew for like 2 hours? Momma Hastings breaks up the little moment and Toby flees while Spencer finds comfort in her mom’s arms. I wonder how she plans on explaining why she’s so upset to her.

Hanna and Emily go to rescue Aria but end up being duped by Meredith into going into the basement where they get trapped. Seriously who the hell willingly walks into a set up? The girls find Aria in the basement where Meredith left her after knocking her ass out. #WhereIsMikeAnyway. He is definitely not in the basement. Byron comes home and finds Meredith sitting like a creep in the dark when she reveals that Aria knows everything. He smacks her around and she runs away…I think, I don’t really remember where she went and why. Byron finds the girls downstairs ready to shank him with weapons but he tells them that he didn’t hurt Ali and then flashes back to that night where he walks away from Ali and her threats. We learn that he saw Melissa outside on a nearby porch as he was leaving to confront his family with his lies.

Aria finally confronts her father about what she knows and whether he killed Ali or not. He mind games her and says he will go to the police with the diary pages to prove he is innocent to her but Aria is too stupid to see through his lies and destroys the papers instead. Seriously Aria? You’re dad lied about having an affair and you think he wouldn’t lie about hurting your friend? Especially after everything you have seen from him? Dumb…dumb…Dumb….The episode ends with Spencer going to confront Toby as his apartment but the door has that chain shit on it so she can’t get in. She cries outside the door begging for an explanation as Mona is inside enjoying her anniversary dinner. Poor Spencer…sleeping with the enemy must suck and I can’t imagine how much bleach she is going to need to clean her soul. Anyone else think Mona might be banging Toby?? Who is really in charge of the A Team? Has Aria surpassed Hanna as the dumbest in the group? #WhereIsMikeAnyway?
