Pretty Little Liars Recap: She’s Better Now

When we last saw the Liars they were riding a crazy train with Adam Lambert. Aria almost got pushed off the tracks, Garrett was murdered, Ali’s body was discovered and Byron may have had something to do with Ali’s disappearance. We open with presumably Lucas skating around town only to be chased down by Toby who attempts to run him over. Lucas must have taken the last clean black hoody from the A Team stash because that’s the only reason I can see Toby getting mad enough to hurt him. Mona walks into Hanna’s room (because the Marin’s don’t know how to properly lock their back porch door) and begs her to help her transition back to school since she was let out of Radley. Hanna’s grandmother overhears the conversation but Hanna lies and says she is reading out loud when asked if there is someone else in her room. Hanna’s grandma must be at that age because we all know Hanna only reads books with pictures.

Emily’s father is trading off with her mother as the required caring parent of the show by popping up and letting Emily know he is installing a high tech security system. Garrett’s mom apparently called them for some reason to explain that she is going after the police and asked for Mr. Fields to help her. They discuss Garrett and his innocence/guilt and Mr. Field puts the lock down on Emily and tells her she is confined to her room…but she’s allowed conjugal visits with Paige. Aria and Spencer are at the coffee shop overloading on caffeine and talking about Mona and the NAT club and if there is a connection. Spencer grills Aria to find out what her father knows about Ali’s last days but Aria refuses because she’s finally on speaking terms with her homewrecking daddy. What she really means is that her father is allowing her to continue her pedophile relationship with Ezra so she isn’t going to screw up sexy times by questioning whether he killed Ali or not. Hanna’s grandma tries to fatten Hanna up again with a full breakfast but Hanna turns her down because anorexia is better than bulimia on your teeth. They discuss Cousin Heschey who was also in a mental institution but was rehabbed and how Mona could have also changed during her stay at Radley.

The girls finally arrive at school which they all seem to attend part-time when Emily encourages the others to all befriend Mona. The conversation then turns to Byron and his connection to Ali when Aria throws out her own insecure thoughts that her father might have been the one that drugged her and then stuck her in the freight box on the train. She storms off while Mona makes an appearance and man does Aria have a little booty on her, I never noticed it before until she hit the right angle. Mona tries to be friendly with Aria who walks by her in disgust while the other Liars look on wondering what Mona’s true plans are. #MonaIsBack. Aria is now questioning Byron and Ezra who she has yet to play Maury Povich with. The girls walk into class and see their new teacher….Daddy’s new/old girlfriend and mistress Meredith who takes Aria’s phone since she decided to play Words with Friends instead of learning. After class Meredith addresses the girls and basically tells them to fuck off and let her do her job instead of gossiping about her. Considering what Meredith has done to Aria’s family (with help from Byron) I would think that Aria would hit a breaking point but she’s apparently worried about her GPA so she just bitches to the girls later.

Yay SG is back!! Ok I am going to admit this, then run and hide behind the couch, cause I know I am going to catch flack for this…..But I watch Switched at Birth. I actually like the show. I also like The Lying Game…I am to “old” for these shows, but I do like them

Onto the episode. Meh. I think that Jason is the red herring. Aria did stab someone, but you would think that a stab wound would either be in the hand or in the leg. Lucas and his limp would make sense because it looked like Toby hit him with the car, but if he were trying to push a box out of a train…and it kind of sounded like Lucas when the person said “ouch”.

The parents on this show are dumb as rocks!! Ali was a straight up bitch when she was alive…I still don’t think she is dead…somehow.

And I am going to go with, Melissa is the one that was sneaking Mona in and out of Radley. We saw her looking into Mona’s room at the end of the Halloween episode.

You would think they would stop going to school/community events. Something bad always happens at one of these things!

@Pinky that’s why Emily’s dad was smart enough to try and keep her in the house…

I think Lucas has been part of the A team, but is having second thoughts and feeling conflicted now. Perhaps his participation was something that he was gradually drawn into and realizing what it is all about has him regretting it. Can you tell that I think Lucas is really a sweet kid in over his head? :-D

ChaCha-I have been thinking that for some time now…I mean, he had Hanna out in the middle of the lake in a canoe. Then we didn’t see him for a while. When she was hit by that car and broke her leg, he was just kind of in her room when she woke up a few times.

I bet he is the one that leaves all the notes for them. You know like the gift basket left on Ezra’s doorstep. The “I see you” on the back of Ezra’s car when they were making out in the woods.

I also really want to know who’s hand we saw at the end of the Halloween episode. **now if you have read the books and already know, keep it to yourself!! I don’t want any spoilers!!**

ThisBuggs4u, I only got so far in the books (up to them finding out Mona was the first A), but the show doesn’t seem to follow the books at all (except for that). In the books, Mona actually died during her encounter with Spencer in the woods.

I read last night on one of the gossip sites, that Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale are in consideration for Ana Steele in the Fifty Shades movie…I am not sure how I feel about that! I don’t see innocent when I see these two ladies on my screen.

thisbuggs4u….Switched at Birth? I’m judging you so hard right now. In all honesty I have never watched it because I’m pretty sure I would laugh inappropriately and I don’t need anymore bad karma.
