Pretty Little Liars Recap: She’s Better Now

Mona opens her locker to find a dead brain stabbed with a knife which draws a crowd around her. Mona takes the brain and walks to the trash can passing a genuinely frightened looking Lucas, several kids filming for Youtube and a guilty looking Jason…wait why is Jason at the High School? Oh wait are they still trying to pass him off as a coach or something? She whispers something into Lucas’ ear and then picks up her bags and walks away. Of course Hanna immediately berates Lucas into telling her what happened but he just limps off to hopefully get a spray tan because homeboy is pasty white. The girls congregate in the bathroom discussing what happened to Mona when Mona walks into the only bathroom in the school to fix up her hair and give the girls a chance to talk to her. Mona tells them she knows it wasn’t them that put the brains in her locker especially since she helped them figure out who killed Maya and that she will work to earn their trust. Hanna and Caleb talk about Mona and Lucas and Hanna pushes Caleb into talking to Lucas about his alibi on the train and how someone was stabbed by Aria and that it might be him. Emily is getting hounded by her father when she sees Mona talking to the creepy hotel clerk where Mona’s lair was working as a janitor. Spencer and Toby are talking about boring things like where Jenna might be, the NAT club and Mona. Toby tries to change the subject when they see Jason and Mona hugging which sets Spencer off.

 

Hanna and Emily go down to the school basement to find creepy Harold and maybe the reason why he was speaking to Mona. They find him in his office writing in a book and then spot a bag of items taken from the motel lair including that stupid weird baby mask. The girls start discussing the contents of the bag while standing 2 feet from Harold so of course he jumps up to see what all the chatter is about but they hide before he can find them. Seriously have they never heard of whispering? Taking cell phone pictures for evidence? You would think after 2 years of trauma they would learn to back their shit up and take as much evidence as possible or to be a little more careful when snooping. And why wasn’t the door down to the basement locked? Isn’t that a safety violation that the students can just wander down there at any point in the day? Ezra tries to give Aria some kind of necklace charm thing which she surprisingly turns down considering her taste in jewelry and then tries to get out of the marathon because she’s not very athletic. She gets a text from Hanna to meet to discuss Harold and then lies to Ezra about it before running off and finding a huge gift basket congratulating Ezra on a baby boy. I don’t understand why Aria looked so confused upon seeing the big basket considering the lie she is hiding from Ezra but she’s not the smartest crayon in the box…she’s just the most colorful. Switched at Birth looks really shitty btw..do any of you watch?

    Yay SG is back!! Ok I am going to admit this, then run and hide behind the couch, cause I know I am going to catch flack for this…..But I watch Switched at Birth. I actually like the show. I also like The Lying Game…I am to “old” for these shows, but I do like them

    Onto the episode. Meh. I think that Jason is the red herring. Aria did stab someone, but you would think that a stab wound would either be in the hand or in the leg. Lucas and his limp would make sense because it looked like Toby hit him with the car, but if he were trying to push a box out of a train…and it kind of sounded like Lucas when the person said “ouch”.

    The parents on this show are dumb as rocks!! Ali was a straight up bitch when she was alive…I still don’t think she is dead…somehow.

    And I am going to go with, Melissa is the one that was sneaking Mona in and out of Radley. We saw her looking into Mona’s room at the end of the Halloween episode.

    buggs…I watch The Lying Game also. I need to watch the first episode again because I was so confused because it had been so long since the last episode.

    I think Lucas has been part of the A team, but is having second thoughts and feeling conflicted now. Perhaps his participation was something that he was gradually drawn into and realizing what it is all about has him regretting it. Can you tell that I think Lucas is really a sweet kid in over his head? :-D

    ChaCha-I have been thinking that for some time now…I mean, he had Hanna out in the middle of the lake in a canoe. Then we didn’t see him for a while. When she was hit by that car and broke her leg, he was just kind of in her room when she woke up a few times.

    I bet he is the one that leaves all the notes for them. You know like the gift basket left on Ezra’s doorstep. The “I see you” on the back of Ezra’s car when they were making out in the woods.

    I also really want to know who’s hand we saw at the end of the Halloween episode. **now if you have read the books and already know, keep it to yourself!! I don’t want any spoilers!!**

    ThisBuggs4u, I only got so far in the books (up to them finding out Mona was the first A), but the show doesn’t seem to follow the books at all (except for that). In the books, Mona actually died during her encounter with Spencer in the woods.

    I read last night on one of the gossip sites, that Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale are in consideration for Ana Steele in the Fifty Shades movie…I am not sure how I feel about that! I don’t see innocent when I see these two ladies on my screen.

    thisbuggs4u….Switched at Birth? I’m judging you so hard right now. In all honesty I have never watched it because I’m pretty sure I would laugh inappropriately and I don’t need anymore bad karma.
