Pretty Little Liars Recap: Single Fright Female

Jenna is outside eating cherries when Hanna comes up to give her the lowdown that the video of her and Toby was found and that it wasn’t Hanna’s fault if the police got a hold of it. Jenna puts her glasses on and shuts Hanna out and then says they will just have to see how things turn out. Hanna walks off only to be stopped by a super persistent Nate (you guys might be right that he isn’t her cousin but that obsessed boyfriend she was talking about) looking for Emily. Hanna tells him that he has no chance because Emily is gay and that she even dated his cousin and he says that he thought it was more about the person and not the equipment. I might have been quick to call Aria the dumb one because Hanna then tells Nate that Em doesn’t play games like other people in reference to Jenna who is still sitting a few feet away. Hanna then sort of slips that Jenna was faking being blind for awhile and Nate then calls out to her as she enters a car trying to fuck with her. Jenna shoots them a death stare and gets into the car. Nate is such a creeper character, I hope we don’t see anymore of him after this next episode because I just can’t with him.

Don’t play with fire if you’re scared of a little burn Ali.

Spencer and Cece are unloading boxes for the trunk show but Spencer just has to know more about Paige and Ali’s war so we get another flashback sequence. Cece and Ali are in a car discussing Ali stealing some stationary from Em and writing a steamy note to Paige about wanting to be with her but couldn’t because of her boyfriend. She instructs Paige to write a letter about her feelings and to leave it under a sign outside of a store and just then Paige rides up on her bike to hide the note. Ali walks out of the car and grabs the note while Paige yells at her to give it back. Ali taunts Paige and reveals that she wrote the initial note and that she should give it to Paige’s father who is a pastor and would flip out that his daughter is gay. Paige screams at Ali but Ali tells her that she owns her now and then walks away looking a little scared. She yells at Cece to drive away and in the present Cece says that Ali might not have admitted it but she was definitely a little scared of Paige and she had no idea what Ali ever did with Paige’s letter to Emily.

At least some of these bitches actually study

Em and Paige are meanwhile on Em’s bed studying when Em confronts Paige about her relationship with Ali. Paige says she knew of Ali but didn’t know her and then wonders why Em’s friends are talking about her instead of to her. She tells Em that out of the 4 of them, Emily was the one that was drugged and that she should watch her friends. Em gets defensive and says her friends didn’t do it to her but Paige says that Em also thought Mona was their friend and look at how that turned out. Em tells Paige that Mona was never her friend and that she trusts the girls with her life and they finally drop the subject with Paige saying she wants to spend more time with her friends to get to know them better.
