Pretty Little Liars Recap: Single Fright Female

Aria and Wes are at Ezra’s apartment when I realize that Wes might still let his mother dress him because he has the worst wardrobe on the show. Mona even looks better in her hospital garb than this kid in his Mister Rogers meets Country Club attire. Aria confesses that she met Maggie and wonders why Wes even told her about her. He says he didn’t want to start trouble and assumed that Ezra had already told her and then she confesses that she went to see her and that she needed to know if she was okay. She tells Wes that she has a child that looks a lot like Ezra and wonders why she never told Ezra that he had a son. Maybe because SHE WAS TOLD NOT TO TALK TO EZRA AS PART OF HER PAYOUT?? The two of them discuss how to tell Ezra or if they even should tell him about Maggie and her son. Aria starts to cry because she realizes she might have destroyed her own relationship and that she has never been in this position before and is confused.

Wes says that it doesn’t change anything but um…I think any respectable man that finds out he has a child somewhere would make the effort to try and connect to that kid. I’m willing to bet that Ezra would even want to get back together with Maggie since he’s not under his mom’s influence anymore anyway. Ezra walks in and says he is in a better mood and ready to celebrate his birthday because he called Maggie and she is doing great and has a career in education. He doesn’t mention the son part so Aria is still concerned but the celebrations go forward with a cake and ice cream. Wes and Aria devise a plan to find out what the terms of his mother’s arrangement were and why Maggie didn’t mention her son in secret because Aria is worried about Maggie’s son getting cut off. OMG…LET IT GO!

Spencer is trying on a dress for the show that night and attempts to text Hanna about Emily but she has no reception. As she is trying on the dress a black mamba snake slithers out of a box to say hello to Spencer which causes her to freak out obviously. Here’s my issue with this….Black mambas are kind of illegal in a lot of states and hard to get because they are one of the more deadlier snakes around. How the hell did Paige or any of A Team get a hold of such a snake to put it in a sealed box and how did they know that Cece would give Spencer that box? Is Cece part of the A Team? Cece eventually hears Spencer screaming and unlocks the dressing room door (someone locked her in) and Spencer comes tumbling out and lays on the floor. Okay…there’s a DEADLY snake crawling on the floor and you just tumble out and sit on the ground instead of finding some place more secure to hang out? Cece takes a mannequin leg and crushes the poor snake but doesn’t seem to concerned that it’s one of the most deadly snakes. Kind of weird how she reacted actually.
