So last week Hanna used her Wikipedia skills to save Mona from being sent off to Saratoga and then celebrated by giving Wren CPR. Caleb was able to hack into Maya’s website which the girls kept from Emily because she was too busy playing water polo with Paige. Finally, Spencer chased off Toby and Jason and then cried about it while Aria met Ezra’s mother who gave her a very lucrative proposal which she turned down.
Spencer gives good puppy dog face.
Aria and Spencer are in the only hangout in Rosewood discussing the stupid hand stamp that Holden had after Aria discovered it on Maya’s website. Didn’t we already establish that Maya had gone to some of these parties when Holden himself told Hanna this at a party? No wonder why Spencer doesn’t pay much attention to Aria’s ranting. She blames her lack of enthusiasm on missing out on real life priorities like forgetting to mail her early admission application to UPenn. Spencer wants to stop being Velma and start being more Daphne and work on getting into college and getting her boyfriend back. Cece overhears the girls and also brings over Aria’s phone which she left on the counter and tells a shocked Spencer that she went to UPenn. Spencer begs Cece to help her by hooking her up with anyone that she might still know at the college to get her application to the Admissions board (because she can’t just mail it in late?). Cece invites her to a party at an old friend’s house where an admissions rep will be attending after Spencer creepily stares at her with puppy dog eyes. Can we talk about how appropriate it is that a professional would be attending a red cup back alley party with a bunch of underage girls?
Thank God Ashley is good looking or Hanna would be in prison at this point.
Over in Hanna’s neck of the woods, Ashley has decided to show up and is speaking with a police officer who has a court order demanding Hanna’s blood sample in 5 days. Ashley shushes the officer to keep Hanna from hearing and then dismisses him to call Veronica, Spencer’s mom. I think the best part of this scene is that apparently Ashley was familiar with this officer. How many people did she have to sleep with to get Hanna out of trouble? Hanna is at school dressed like a hooker when she spots Caleb across the hallway. Okay 2 things: 1) Do they not have a dress code at this school? 2) Is anyone else irritated at how quickly a day flies by in Rosewood? One minute Hanna is upstairs getting ready for school and then she’s walking around the school hallway. Either they live in a VERY small town or Ashley has no idea what her daughter is up to…maybe a little bit of both?
Really with the flannel stereotype?
