   Can someone explain to me what was going on at the end with Toby and Mona? About Maya’s cell phone? I’m very confused.

   Yeah, I’m totally confused. My biggest question is….WHY are they being tortured in the first place again???
   Now I think that Caleb is also part of it. He was there in the place where the snake was when he surprised Spencer, he’s the one that had access to all the files and websites, etc., and of course he was shot….by Nate? by himself?
   When did Paige unknowingly get Maya’s cell phone? Weren’t they in the hospital when Veronica and Garrett came walking out? Is it a hospital and jail in one? lol
   I’m almost 40 and this teeny bopper show has me all confused! ugh

   not at all surprised by either nate/london or toby. i still refuse to believe caleb has anything to do with it because i irrationally love caleb. and i love hanna and caleb together. they’re my anti aria and ezra. i want to know who shot caleb too. i strangely want it to be emily cause she’s annoying me lately and it would make things real interesting. but i’m sure they’ll say something lame at the beginning of next season like oh nate/london wasn’t quite dead yet so he grabbed the gun with his last bit of strength and aimed for emily but caleb was in the way. PLL is stupid like that.

   i wasnt really surprised cause i never really liked toby, his face creeps me out but i didnt suspect him at first cause he was supposed to be in another town or whatever so i wasnt expecting him to pop up out of no where for this episode

   i hope ezra & maggie get back together cause aria & him are super annoying

   yeah he definitely has had the best access to info. hopefully before they reveal he’s part of the A team something will make me not love him so that i can accept it. and you’re right about that garrett and veronica thing, what were they doing there? i thought everyone else was at the hospital too! there is only one place to eat in rosewood so maybe they also have a hospital/jail/police station/bowling alley/tanning salon all in one or something.

   Gwen – I think they may have planted Maya’s cell phone on Paige and she doesn’t know it at this point so Toby was sent to get the phone back from her. I’m pretty sure the reason is because there is some type of evidence against them on it.

   I assumed Garrett was there to visit with his mother to tell her that he was cleared of all charges. Didn’t they briefly mention she had a heart attack from everything happening with him? Veronica likely drove him because she was already on her way there to meet with the girls after what happened with Caleb.

   Nikki I adore Caleb but he is definitely on their team and wouldn’t doubt if HE caused the accident to his mother as part of the plot (or faked it, he is a computer whiz who can photoshop and that would give him the alibi to “leave town”). I also want Maggie and Ezra because I LOOOOOVED Alex Mack!

   Now that was a worthy summer finale!

   I wasn’t surprised with Nate/London. Are we even sure he killed Maya? He never outright said it… it was sure implied though. (And Noel’s security footage sure was convenient… if it was Noel sending that… Gah! Damn you PLL, and your endless questions.)

   Garrett is free, whoopdeediddilydoo. He seemed more interested in smirking than visiting his mother in a coma. >.> Freak. (Why A-team, why? Why try to find a way to set him free? His usefulness had ended, why? Okay, granted he would have spilled the beans if he wasn’t helped, but still!)

   I’m looking forward to the Halloween special! I love trains, especially in the mystery genre.

   Aria: ick… what they did to her character this season, just ick.
   Emily: Seriously, the girl got knocked around like a sappho ragdoll. I’m surprised she didn’t snap mid-season, pick up a tray of coffee and just scald everyone in the face. I hate that she’s the ‘sweetest’ out of the liars, but that makes scenes like when she’s fighting with Nate/London all the better. I was cheering the whole time! Bring out the butch, use it! Use it! >…<
   Hanna: Gur was on fire this season.
   Spencer: … she irks me, I respect her but she irks me. She used to be the master of multitasking, even with all the drama. Yet she forgot her UPenn application? Oh puh-lease, not with all that caffeine!!! O_O

   Caleb: I adore this guy, but what was with the gun idea? I figured it must have been a paintball gun, just something to ambush "A" with as a bluff, but it was real… lame. (He's always gonna be a suspect because of his skills, but I just don't see it. I mean what's his motive? He wasn't around with Alison, what could the A-team blackmail or bribe him with? He has money now, but he can survive without that.)

   Toby: I was surprised by his betrayal. The guy has been under my radar all year. He pops in, he pops out, ever the loner. Typical Toby stuff, so I'm glad this one came out of left-field. (He's probably a double agent, but whatever, I liked this twist… even if it was a safe choice by the writers.)

   Wren: I like this guy, when he's not charming every underage girl in his path. Why has he never been a prime suspect in spite of his foreign-ness? He's practically everywhere with ample opportunity, with many variations of his supposed 'job'. Who the hell would pay to keep practicing medicine overseas in that crazy ass town!?

   Ezra: … nuff' said.

   Paige: Is annoying and creepy as hell when she's in batshit crazy mode. When she's not, I find her interesting and 1000% better than Maya&Samara.

   Cece: She cracks me up, she's hella suspicious but she makes me laugh

   Ezria: This needs to end… now. They are, by far the most annoying couple on the show. They feed each others insecurities, they both hide many aspects of their lives, it's just painful to watch. It's also pointless, you can skip their scenes and not miss out on the plot (sub-plots, a-plots, boring filler.) whatsoever. (Call this a hunch, but doesn't it feel like the writing team is preparing to give them the boot? i.e. Maggie & son. Ezra's somewhat cute younger brother?)

   PLL Parents: Pretty much background pieces right now.

   Noel: You want to punch the douche in the balls, yet kiss him at the same time… before punching his balls again.

   Jenna: I really thought they were going to dull the girl down now that she can see, which thankfully they didn't. I have to admit that she has been one of my favorites to watch, even more so now… especially since she dumped and framed Garrett. She's always a wild card to me, when I think she'll zig, she'll zag.

   Mona: Ah, Mona. I'm ecstatic that she was around this season. Did I think she was mentally insane? Nope, not for a second. It might have looked like it in the beginning with Hanna's visits, But she was on some powerful meds remember? I can't believe I'm referencing 'the joker vlogs', but I think she could have left the asylum anytime she wanted, she stayed because she wanted to. (She is great with electronics, computers specifically if I remember right. Just thought I'd put that out there since it has been awhile since they've shown her skills… other than dressing fiercely.)

   Alison: I love seeing her in flashbacks, the bitchiest, snarkiest, epitome of a mean girl. I always hope they will film a pure flashback episode, from only Alison's perspective. Just so we get to see how she tried to manage everything in her life.

   Lucas: What the hell happened to this guy? He fell very far, very fast. I wish we could have had more insight into this downward spiral.

   Rosewood police dpt. And Wilden: WTF? Honestly, what. the. fuck. Do they accomplish ANYTHING?! Is there a strike because there is only a Lucky Leon's bulimic cupcake factory and no donut shops!?

   Anyways, can't wait until October! (I'm not gonna like this webisode thing, why not just make it into an 30-45 minute special that will air before the Halloween episode, is that too much to ask for? I mean really….)

   hmmm my initial thought was that Em had to shoot Caleb because of course the girls can’t tell anyone about A. So they will say Nate shot Caleb and Em stabbed Nate to save Caleb.

   I don’t know. I am so confused at this point.

   Poor Spence, she gave up her virginal goodies to a guy who is stalking her and her friends. How weird is that story going to be when people start talking about their firsts. Awkward!

    I assumed the gun went off because he placed it on the light in the lighthouse and the heat made it go off after a minute and it happened to be pointing at Caleb. Hopefully the answer is not gonna be something they drag out forever.

    I agree that Toby is helping the girls by being on the A team. But I was still surprised nonetheless! It’s a long time until January. At least I have the Halloween special to tide me over until then.

    I for one think that Spencer is on the A team, she is the smartest of the group and there really wasn’t much for A to tell on her compared to the other girls. It would also explain how “A” knows so many secrets. She is also kinda slutty when you think of it, she stole her sister’s boyfriend then she was all in Caleb’s face, for a while it looked like Emily wanted Toby, next thing you know she’s up his booty. If she goes for Fitz (ugh) then she is team A. Plus when Toby looked at her he said something like “I know who you are”, which makes me think she is on team A with Toby or perhaps he joined team A so he could be with her.

    i think spencer is on the A team too, i read some interview with one of the directors after the episode aired && she said that toby doesn’t have good intentions for being on the A team, so no he’s not doing it to protect them

    && i dont even remember why the girls are being tortured!

    Ok, If I can remember right, Ali knew that Jason was Spencer’s half brother. That is what she had on Ali. Ali had hinted to Spencer that she know…I think that Spencer and Toby are working together…

    Ali knew all of the girls secrets, all of them

    I know who shot Caleb….the writers even said, Yes this person shot Caleb!!!

    I think that Paige and Nate/London were working together, just not sure how yet.

    So here is my A team list: Mona, Jenna, Garret, Melissa, CeCe and Noel. I some how think that Caleb and Toby got onto the A team, but for the girls. Yes, Caleb knew about everything because at Hanna told him finally. Plus Spencer had him break into Maya’s website.

    I have a feeling that Caleb is the one that figured out who “Nate” was and he was the one that called Em and told her she had a minute to get out of the house, which she did not do, dumbass. He had told the girls that he had the voice changing device. So I kind of think that because of that, that is why Mona said to A that there had been a change of plans. She saw that Paige was not at the gravesite, but Caleb was. Caleb figured out that Paige was gone and that is why he went speeding off…

    Looking forward to the Halloween Special. I just don’t want to wait that long. I am going to have to watch this epi agian though. I feel like I missed some stuff!

    @ Anniemp: I think like you do that some doofy carelessness sent the gun firing–if not your theory then maybe it just got bumped off or fell off, hit the floor and went off.

    @thisbuggs: Don’t forget Lucas on that list. Also don’t tease us about something that is obviously public knowledge if the writers said it out loud. Tell us who they say shot Caleb!!!!!

    Even tho’ he annoys me, I hope that Toby is just being a mole to try to protect his girlfriend and her friends. He sure does look creepy, tho’, in that hoody.

    I googled it and they claim it was Nate who hadn’t died at that point. Since Marlene King says they may show a flashback it will probably only happen because fans really don’t believe Nate could have done it. So.Stupid.

    Honestly you would think they did something really disgusting with they way all these people going after them hardcore like this. Seriously it makes no sense why essentially a whole town hates them.

    K. Sorry should have said it was Nate. But it just seems way to obvs for that. Most people dont like spoilers. I never read the books so I am not sure if this goes with them or not.

    I do agree that this was a good finale!

    Also, how the hell did Paige get unducttaped so quickly!?! I was thinking that Caleb was already in the lighthouse. But then again, wouldnt someone see him.

    Yes Lucas should be on the A team. Along with Jason and Ezra… where exactly did he get that 50k from?

    Ok, I thought Mona was saying that they planted Maya’s phone on Paige, and then they were going to call her so that Emily would find it, so they could frame Paige as A. But now that plan’s dropped, (I guess because it’s hard to frame her after she’s a victim? and/or they just needed someone to take the fall for Garrett and Nate/London did that) so they need the phone back.

    And yes, Garrett said he was there to visit his mother.

    I will be extremely annoyed if the gun fell or overheated or whatever. That is freaking stupid.

    Ugh, I hate Ezria. Even more so with the kid story line. He freaking had a kid when she was 10 or something. Just, no.

    I actually think Caleb on the A team is fun, because he’s so darn likeable. I figured something was up with Toby when he all of a sudden forgave her and they had that weirdly dramatic reunion. And because the moment they slept together was very Sydney and Billy Loomis in Scream. Like, now that you’re slept together, you’re free game for the horror.

    Maybe Toby joined the A team just now? Like maybe he’s bitter about Spencer and Jason or whatever?

    Also – I was thinking the same thing! Seriously, why is the whole damn town trying to torture these girls? Originally I thought it was like a way to get back at Allison, but now it only makes sense if Allison is somehow really alive and is manipulating these people into all of this. And even that’s stupid, but at least follows some kind of internal logic in the show.

    Ok. As far as the A team goes I think that Mona, CeCe (maybe indirectly), Paige, Lucas and a at least one other person are on it (besides Toby, cause I just can’t figure out why he’s on it or wtf he’s doing!). Maybe Noel could be on Team A cause Jenna was “protecting” someone the night of the grave-digging thing, remember? But what does Noel actually contribute to any of the plot lines? It doesn’t seem like a lot.

    I KNEW Nate was crazy and suspect from the get-go but I couldn’t figure out why! I guess I just didn’t remember Maya ever having a stalker she mentioned… and I thought Nate said, almost in black and white, that he did kill Maya. Maybe not “I killed Maya St. Germain.” but he definitely admitted it or else Garrett wouldn’t have been cleared of those charges.

    As for the Girls:
    Hannah: Hannah can be SO dumb sometimes, but I think she has some good lines! Hannah really is just Hannah, she never does too much of anything, but she’s still entertaining.

    Spencer: Spencer comes off as too smart for her own good (mostly the reason she was the one Mona tried to get to join A Team I think). Spencer is definitely a slut though. Virginal goodies? WHAT? I haven’t ever been under the impression that Spence was a virgin. She’s stolen how many boyfriends from her sister? Been with Wren (who’s old enough to be a freakin psychologist! how much college/externship or whatever is that? I mean.. she’s still in high school!) and whatever. She’s a slut.

    Aria: Aria.. Aria needs to stop sticking her beak in where it doesn’t belong. I think shes probably(definitely) not the brightest bulb in the box. Also, Ezra and her together suck. She can never just leave well-enough alone.

    Emily: I like Em, but she’s dumb as a brick sometimes. Like, you’re dating Paige. PAIGE!! The girl who tried to drown you! Also, she’s bat-shit crazy, and jealous. RED FLAGS! Major props to stabbing Nate though. I was definitely cheering for her on that one! Right after I was wanting to slap her for going up to the top of a damn light house! (I mean, if Nate gets up there she was either gonna have to kill him or she was going to be trapped, duh!)

    The Boys:

    Ezra: Statutory raper! Idgaf if hes only in his 20′s, Aria is still like 17, and was what, 15-16 , when they met? Creeeeeppperrrr. Where did he get all that money and what happened to it? Also, the whole Maggie thing, as well as his family is weird. How the hell did Maggie manage to find out where he lived, but not know about Aria? I mean.. Aria’s there like every damn day!

    Caleb: I don’t dislike Caleb, but I guess he’s not my favorite.. I appreciate how he helps the girls out with stuff and I guess has their backs, but still. Whatever.

    Toby: Never liked him. Something was always off to me. But remember when ‘A’ made him fall off that scaffolding and also cut his break-lines to make Spencer stay away from him? Is Toby REALLY part of the A Team, or not? Maybe he’s a new recruit. His leaving for long periods of time and manual labor/construction background was just too convenient.

    Wren: I love Wren! Despite the accent, which I DETEST! If he ends up being Team A I might just die a little inside. He’s so sweet and cute! Love.

    Other Characters:

    Paige: Crazy. Obsessed. Jealous. A Team.

    CeCe: Uper-suspicious. We know she knows who A is (remember when A gave her 50 grand?). Why did she just show up out of nowhere knowing things about the Liars, but they hadn’t ever heard of her?

    Lucas: What happened to him? Did he fall down into a well or something? I was really hoping the film negatives and pills Aria found would pan out into something. He’s still crazy, but it might just be that he’s a crack-head now, who knows.

    Mona: Mona! I LOVE Mona! She was NEVER for a second crazy! She always knows what’s up! Remember when the nurse said she had been sneaking her meds out with someone? Don’t they have cameras in that damn place? WTF?!? How did they NOT know she was gone for so long? How did she get the access card and uniform? CLEARLY working with someone on the inside! I hope to God it’s not Wren!!!

    Jenna: Still suspect, but I DONT think a part of the A Team. Still don’t like her though. I can’t figure out why/who she was “protecting” on the night the grave got dug up. Noel? I’m confused.

    The Parents:

    Byron: Where did he go? Is he officially back together with the girl he cheated on Ella with? What happened with that girl getting a teaching job at Rosewood High?

    Ella: Aww, her new relationship is cute. But that one tooth bugs me every time shes on screen. Still like her.

    Ashley (Han’s mom): Whatever. She doesn’t seem to do much one way or another. Well, none of the parent’s do really, other than maybe Spence’s mom.

    Preacher dude: Ok, so I know he’s not actually a parent but he’s dating Ashley, so there. Why did it take like a year to find that flash drive with the videos? Weird.

    Coffe Shop Dude: Cute, but doesn’t do anything for the Liars plot-line. Just keeps Ella out of the way, I guess.

    Hanna’s Dad/New Wife/ Step-Sister: What happened to any of them? I can’t even remember if the dad and the fiance ever got married. Did the girl leave Rosewood after the Liars proved that she made up the whole Hanna sending out topless pics of her thing?

    Emily’s Fam: Mom, used to be a bitch, but I do think they did a GREAT job casting with her. She looks like she could be Em’s mom in real life. The dad… he’s still in Texas, right?

    Spoiler Alert! (but probably not really..)

    In the books Ali has a secret twin sister named Courtney. Courtney was crazy in the ol noggin and was locked up in Radley since she was a kid. BUT somehow Courtney would always escape Radley and go hang out with the Liars who were too stupid to realize she wasn’t Ali (which is why Ali seemed to have 2 different personalities, cause Courtney was a massive, bitter, bitch). Well, Ali finds out and kills Courtney. Then she “disappears.” Now everyone thinks that Ali is missing (but the Liars think she could still be alive and keep “seeing” her) but then when “her” body is found they accept she’s dead. But she’s not, cause it was actually Courtney’s body. How Ali’s family didnt know about that shit I have no clue, but whatever. So yeah. In the book the real Ali is punishing all the Liars for not realizing it was actually Courtney they were hanging out with. Mona’s also A in the books though. Ali tells her pretty much everything and that’s how Mona joins on in the books. The books are really confusing though, and they’re still being released and written. There have been 11 (I think) so far and another one is coming out in December. The producers HAVE said that the show and the books don’t match up exactly though. Still Something to think about.

    Ok, since we have all been talking about slutty mcslutterson, ie, Spencer…I thought she and Toby had slept together a long time ago?!? I have season 1 on dvd, yeah I know! I remember that they stayed in a motel, guess I was just assuming they did it. Yeah, she was all over Ian and Wren…Thank the lord it was only Melissa that went out with Jason. Still ew, gross!

    I did not know/don’t remember CeCe stating that she got 50k and was able to open her store. She knows way to much about the girls and Paige, she is most def on the A team…But then again, I still think that Ali is alive!! She stated playing games with the girls on Halloween…it was last years Halloween episode.

    As for Jenna hating the girls, they started the fire and Jenna was in the Garage or something. But I knew that she could see! Totes called that one…I personally like her with the sunglasses…

    I think CeCe is just the manager at the boutique.. but in the very end of one of the episodes it showed CeCe meeting up with A and A gave her 50K. CeCe said something like “It’s so weird seeing you in that hoodie. I guess summer really is over..” or something like that I can’t remember which episode it was but I think it may have been the one before CeCe, Spence, and Aria went to that party at the Noel Khan’s cabin.

    That’s a great theory Chap but I think that was a bank teller giving the money to A. Only because why would CeCe have a bill counter plus I think the store has glass counters for some reason lol. Love it though! I was under the impression CeCe just worked at the store and didn’t own it. I miss things though!

    I want to make an A- list, but I find that the show is a lot more fun when you forget details and just enjoy the ride.

    Random easter egg/trivia: Just noticed this, but when Mona gets to the new lair, Toby is chilling in a rocking chair. Last season he made a rocking chair for Spencer, among other items. (I.e. fashion show blah.)

    It’s a fun hint that I think most of us missed, ‘Cause really, how were we supposed to remember that!?

    I only caught it while re-reading the recaps from season 1-3 =^-^=

    P.s. Listening to pll fans who don’t keep up with the plot… is sooo ahh! If I hear one more “I knew Jenna could see since season one when she put on her lipstick like she could see, so I totes knew it before everyone else… where is that Ian dude now?” I’m going to make Hannah binge at L.L. and puke all over them… seriously? I will scratch their eyes out. >.>

    SourCherry, For me and Jenna seeing, wasn’t since season one. It was at the start of this season that I had a feeling. I never read the books, and I only started reading the recaps in season 2, or the second part of season 2. So I wanted to start from the begining, and I went and got season 1 on DVD. It wasn’t until one of the middle episodes this season, the one where she killed the fly with the newspaper that I pretty much knew her first surgery went well…I mean, how many trips to the eye doctor in Boston can one person do in a summer!!

    I don’t ever remember Toby making Spencer a rocking chair! But then again, that is when I don’t think that I was watching. I remember watching the episode where Hanna got hit by the car at Mona’s birthday camp. When A saw Fitz and Aria making out in the backseat of his car…

    Sour Cherry, LOL! I guess I misunderstood your post happens to the best of us, right?

    I mean I totally get why the writers wouldn’t go with the books, cause then everyone that has read them would be on here saying what happened. That is why I didn’t really want to give away the Nate/London thing. If it is one thiing I really dislike, it is Spoilers. I try to watch all the shows (not just PLL) before I come on to comment, but if there is a mini, I will read it and see if the show is actually watchable….T&T….

    But I will say this again, I thought there was just the right amount of drama in this season finale!

    So I am wondering, If the Halloween Special is just going to be that, Halloween. But if Caleb is in it, are they going to talk about him being shot…

    Again because I missed some stuff, Toby in the rocking chair, I am going to go back and watch again. There isn’t shit on today, and MR Z has to work
