Currently, Flipit's writing Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recaps, which you can find here. You can also find him doing a gossip segment twice a week called BS of the Day and video recaps of Project Runway All Stars, as well as spoof ReDubs of the coming soon trailers at the end of RHOBH!

Ronnie Karam has been with TVgasm since 2006 , which has given him the opportunity to make fun of hundreds of TV's most loved and hated reality whores. His plan in life was to be Julia Roberts but that plan was stolen by, well, Julia Roberts. He'll get you one day, JULIA ROBERTS!! When not making himself giggle for the gasm, Ronnie performs improv and sketch comedy at IO West in Hollywood a couple of times weekly while using the lovely California days to audition for commercial roles such as "ADORABLE MEXICAN UNCLE". Seriously. Basically, Nutless sent Lady Jessica of the Bene Gesserit down the runway.

@Laura Gill – I’m impressed. Excellent reference there.

Uli deserves to win the season but she didn’t deserve to stay for that dress – either version. And Josh doesn’t deserve to win the season but he didn’t deserve to go home for his over Uli’s. I personally could make Emilio’s off several McCall’s or Simplicity patterns I already own. Seriously. Not sure about A-R’s, it seemed to come out of nowhere. One minute he had nothing and the next minute he had a runway ready dress to go. This season is turning into a producer-driven contest from what I can tell. They decided who was going to go when and their actual work each week bears no relation to that outcome.

The whole flytoParisgotoshowflybackandsewwithoutrecoveringfromjetlag deal was bizarre. Give ‘em a day, geeze.

Ha! My verification phrase is ‘puffy shirt’! Seinfeld’s attempt at fashion, how appropriate.

Thanks for the vidrecap, I always look forward to it.

I’m going to scream watching this episode… I don’t know if I can watch the finale. Why, why, why do they keep giving Aryan a tongue bath every week?

TFG THEY DIDN’T CUT ULI. I really hope they’ve been not picking her for the win for a couple of weeks to give her the big prize at the end. There were a few weeks when it was so obvious she should have won over Aryan. I just don’t like him this season… he’s completely charm-free, and the Bert (of Bert and Ernie fame) hairdo makes me want to throw shit at the screen. Joshua, who I hated during his season, has become truly sweet and likable. I really loved his attitude during the military challenge; FYI my sister had her leg amputated (they whole leg, not just part), and the way he dealt with his client’s prosthesis was so good… he didn’t make an issue and insist she cover it, or do anything to make her feel diminished because of it. Speaking of that amputation, I really have to talk to my sister; she needs a service dog! She does have a few cats, so I guess that’s not an option. What does the dog do? At first I though her eyesight had been compromised.
The funniest thing about Uli’s first dress this week is that it bears a striking resemblance to Georgina’s collection Marchesa! If you do a google image search you’ll see what I mean. Talk about too many ideas. So many stars were Marchesa gowns to red carpet events- and they’re almost ALWAYS slammed by fashion critics for being waaaaaay over-the-top.
I hate, hate, hate Eye-sack this season. He’s completely biased towards Aryan, who should have gone home for that horrible dress last week. He made that pretty woman look so awful, from the sad-ass fabric choice to the bandage straps to doing a big no-no detail of belting an already too-blousy bodice right below her bust. Everyone knows that if you watch to make a voluptuous woman look good the dress should be somewhat fitted to her shape, otherwise she’ll look like a big fat sack.
Maybe they had already bought tickets to Paris and they were non-refundable ? If the challenges were reversed in order (couture before military women challenge) Aryan would have totally gone home.
    ARGH!!!

Whoops, stupid typo by me. I meant “wear Marchesa gowns”, not “were Marchesa gowns”.
Although those Marchesa gowns are so crazy and overwrought they do sort of take over whoever is wearing them. So maybe celebs do become overtaken by the dresses.

I know, right? Marchesa is so overblown and hideously overwrought I cannot understand why everyone seems to want to wear those things. Marchesa is simply product placement all over Bravo though. Marchesa shows up on all kinds of Bravo shows as though it were Chanel or Versace. I think it’s hideous.

My impression of Uli’s look this week was that she saw what Valentino did in Paris and flew back to NY to copy it as much as she could instead of coming up with something original of her own. Josh did not deserve to go home after the second challenge, he nailed it. Uli just draped lining over a belt neck loop and cut her bodice to make a tiny jacket. It was unattractive and inartful. Josh’s redo of his dress as a ready to wear version of his gown was gorgeous. He has been inconsistent this season but is a sweetie now so I like him. Hated him his season but I like the new Josh. You could tell he knew he got screwed based on this challenge alone. No way was his the worst look out there. They just decided who they wanted and judged to make that happen. Pisses me off.

LOL @Sarah, it took me a minute to realize that “Aryan” wasn’t a reference to the racist group, but to Anthony Ryan…. *slaps forehead*

Anyway, @Flipit, these vidrecaps have gotten to be so awesome that, for me I’d rather spend the four minutes with your voices/hilarity/mocking of Josh, rather than be subjected to the actual show. Keep up the great work!

Aryan’s design didn’t come out of nowhere, it came out of almost every dress he’s made all season. For all the talk about Uli only using white and using the same silhouette a lot, no one’s complained about Aryan basically either making a body-con dress with stretch side panels to take care of the “fit” or a sack dress.

This week was no different. He made a bodice that cut in at the hips so he wouldn’t have to dart or fit or consider seam placement the slapped on a side panel and Isaac jizzed.

Emilio’s design may have been basic but they were working on a 10 hour time limit. He still managed to construct a beautiful, impactful, dress out of that weird, beautiful fabric and achieved all that volume on the skirt with construction, not undergarments or foundational garments.

Aryan didn’t even bother to line a lace dress.

Aryan’s dress reminded me of Pepé Le Pew.

    Le sigh!

Always love these, you are so inspired, Mr. Flip it!!!

Didn’t AR have that stupid, stupid, gay, Jamie Lee Curtis head band on earlier in the season . . . did he recycle that look, or did the editors have their way with it!!!

    Not sure why I can’t stand him this time around, I just can’t tho . . .

Ugh. Just ugh. I can’t stand Isaac and his idiocy much longer. They are actually paying this guy for his critiques?? This show is such an insult to viewers its ridiculous.
Emilio’s dress was well made but showed no imagination whatsoever. Any beauty to be had was in the fabric-big deal. Uli’s looked like a dirty, diseased palm leaf broke off during a storm in Florida and plastered itself on her model’s front. What is the deal with the exposed zippers?? Does anyone go out and choose a dress because it has an exposed zipper? It just didn’t fit with a couture look. Josh showed some creativity and even though his floral fabric and the poor fit doomed it, there was a really pretty dress in their somewhere between the lace and the contrasting flowers. His personality took a turn for the better this season and I will miss his commentaries. AR is dead to me since last week and his atrocity of a dress for a service woman and I never thought much of his designs anyway so who cares if he wins (which he will).
    Flipit you’re the best.

    Perfect VCap, as usual Flipit.
But I have to correct you…there were totally asian children working in that sweatshop.
They just happened to be working in the secret chamber under the floor where cameras can’t see them and where they can’t see the light of day.
You can’t give those kids any daylight…they start whining about wanting to go outside, wanting to feel the sun on their face, wanting some fresh air, being Vitamin D deficient…all kinds of crap.
And God forbid that they notice that days are actually only 24 hours long and not 72.
    The complaining would never stop.

It’s so horrible how little time they give these designers. It’s a wonder anything gets made at all. One day to go to Paris, and one day to make a couture gown out of ridiculously expensive fabric. And then they have to make an entire collection in four days
What the fuck is the rush?
Carolyn Murphy is already in full rigor mortis, Isaac already knows he’s gonna get him some A-Ryan ass, and Georgina can’t be in that big a hurry to go home. Not when there’s nothing waiting for her there but an ugly clothing line and the wrinkled balls that she massages to keep said ugly clothing line afloat. And a baby, I guess.
There’s really nothing to rush about.
    Seriously.

Totally bummed about Josh, but he was really bad this season and that dress was a travesty.

It was no surprise who went home. If you looked at it from the producers’ point of view, you could predict the outtcome before the dresses were even drawn. They weren’t going to send home the last remaining women or the last remaining black, they weren’t going to have an all gay male final three, and they have been setting up Anthony Ryan to win all season. That left Joshua.

If I had been in Vegas, I would have put money on it.

It seems as though there is an episode like last weeks, when someone who has already been picked to be in the final, creates something hideous, they say thet NO ONE is going home. Remember Jerrells season? He WON the pre final ‘lets see who goes to Fashion week’ episode but since they ‘couldn’t choose a loser’ for that epi they had them all make collections then come back. And he got booted. His win should have guaranteed him a spot in the finale – they did that on Rami’s season. The other designers got a slot and he had to duke it out with Chris March.

I hate how they change ‘the rules’ each season to accomodate the pre-picked finalists. And ARyan has deserved to go home at least twice. I don’t know if he has been pre-picked as the winner, but he has been pre-picked for the final, as has Uli and Emilio.

So, I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t like Joshua? I wasn’t a fan of his military dress – it looked cheap and boring to me. And I think his designs have been mostly ok – nothing great. But mostly, I thought he was such a jerk this episode. He kept talking trash about Uli while Uli was saying how much she didn’t want him to have to go home. That being said, I do agree it seemed like they certainly weren’t going to keep him around either way.

@Catty, I would have bet on it too! I do think Emilio rose to the occasion tho, rather than just being a final pick from the get-go. Not sure how much race and sexual preference figure into the formula, but I do agree they may have kept the “woman” in the running for the sake of diversity. Either way, I’m glad Uli is still in this!

@ Chaos, you are on fire!!! Your comments are killing me today!
