Runway Time! Heidi comes out looking amazing in a dress that would be hideously ugly on anyone else in the world. The first guest judge for this challenge is Leandra Medine, writer for the Man Repeller Blog, which is just about the most ingenious name for a blog ever, and in an effort to provide full service to my beloved TVGasm community, I checked it out so that you don’t have to. (Unless you want to!) It seems it is a blog dedicated to fashion for fashion’s sake, not so much to be attractive in a conventional way. The second guest judge is Bette Midler! Exciting! I’m excited! The designers gasp before she even steps out from behind the screen though, so I think they’re faking it.
When she’s done walking down the runway, she should go straight to the doctor to get those growths checked out. (Daniel Esquivel)
Seriously. He really does have a beautiful mind. (Joseph Aaron Segal)
Dominatrix in Hawaii. (Richard Hallmarq and Michelle Lesniak Franklin)
There is something so cool about this silhouette. Am I losing it? (Patricia Michaels)
This is how I want to be dressed if I am ever buried alive. (Amanda Valentine)
This was my dream wedding dress when I was six. (Kate Pankoke)
Bumblebee Couture. (Matthew Arthur)
Meh. (Stanley Hudson)
Damn. That top is made from rope. And is that collar made from rope and a bike lock? (Tu Suthiwat Nakchat)
Turned out pretty nicely, Ben! I actually kind of want to wear this. (Benjamin Mach)
The leaves showing through the mesh is pretty cool, but there is waaaay too much happening here. (Samantha Black)
She should totally design costumes for a stage production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. (Layana Aguilar)
There is no losing team! Oh, wait. It’s just semantics. There’s a winning team, and an almost winning team. Come on Heidi, don’t tease them! Dream Team gets their first win! TeamKIR is the first loser, and they are therefore sending someone home. The judges really liked every single look that Dream Team put on the runway. Leandra likes how modern and elegant Tu’s look is, and thinks that Stanley’s dress is really artistic. Nina heaps praise all over Samantha for creating a textile out of the juxtaposition of the leaves and mesh. Zac loves the caginess of Layana’s dress. There is no indication whatsoever of who might win the challenge. I vote either Layana or Tu.
