   Why does Aviva exist? I hate her more than Jill. I hate her more than Kelly. She is the WORST housewife in the history of NY housewives. How is she a real person? I have to think she’s playing up for the cameras, but DAAAAAAAMN! I wouldn’t want that edit no matter how much air time it got me.

   The funny thing is that both Ramona and Sonja, sans make-up, still looked younger than Aviva did. She’s got that over-stretched, silly putty kind of skin – I was honestly waiting for her to end each tirade by unhinging her jaw (a la Trailor from BHHW) and trying to swallow the island whole. I think it was her pirates and seaweed in your teeth phobia that stopped her.

   Great recap! I’ve always had a soft spot for the New York cast so I keep watching and frankly it disgusts me that I can’t totally look away, I get so sucked in.

   Aviva is a mess in my opinion (and many others it would seem). No one who is secure and educated feels the need to discuss their CV or languages short of someone else prompting it or in a job interview. I was so sick watching that. Ok you have two degrees, funny how you do nothing with them. You speak 7 languages but can’t get on a plane to visit another country, that’s useful. I think Ramona and Sonja are completely nuts but I kind of love them for it. They aren’t the greatest people but I think they are pretty genuine to theirselves and I can respect it even if I dont agree with it. I love that Heather is becoming more awesome and that she and Ramona are getting along.

   Frankly I find Aviva and Reid so disgusting. I’ve been on trips with a mixed group of people and when you add couples to the mix it does change the dynamic. And for all her crap, Aviva tried to be a Martyr and not celebrating Carloe at all, the person who invited her there. I did not like how egocentric Aviva was the entire time and her phobias are a sick cry for attention. I shattered my leg riding horses (i do so competitively) and I only cried when I knew I couldn’t ride for a long time. All it did was set me up to get back on the horse literally and figuratively and relearn to walk and ride. I ride everyday still (when I can). That is life, people suffer through many tragedies and still are able to cope. I am not belittling the severity of losing a limb but I am saying I and many people I know have gone through serious shit in their lives and it does not stop them from getting past it and enjoying life. I’m not super impressed with Carole this last episode, but I will say she is a good example of moving past tragedy and living her life, Aviva take notes.

   I loved all of Sonja’s one liners this episode, she was hilarious and I love that she can laugh at herself. That was a mess that they looked up White trash, bless their hearts, but I’ve totally done that before to cast a shade of humor on an otherwise offensive situation.

   I tuned back in juts for this episode as I haven’t watched since the first one of this season. Holla for Heather big time on this episode.

   Aviva needs to get the memo that it’s not about her. And why she has it out for Sonja so badly is freaking me out.

   These bitches need to be scrapped. I miss the old days…

   I actually thought Sonja was really funny in this ep. Well, until she got schwasty, of course. But she was self aware and had a good sense of humor about the “white trash” deal. I was really enjoying this whole trip until Assiva showed up. Ugh. Her and her vile father are two people I wish I could unsee.

   Honey Boo Boo’s mom has more class in her sock covered forklift toe than both of Aviva’s legs. Considering Mrs. Drescher’s parents spent a cool quarter a million on her edjumacashun the Countess is correct. Money can’t buy you class.

   I call bull on her backpedaling in this week’s blog. She only did that because the snarky people on the internet called her out. Her talking heads are still nasty after the trip. No self awareness.

   I think Ramona and Sonja are ” friends”. Because only they get so damn worked up about it being a girls trip. Who gives a shit if men show up?

    I have to agree with Ramona and Sonja, I love men, but they can and do change dynamics. Just like a female would “ruin” an all males trip as well. I have seen enough people act one way around their significant others and totally different when they are not around.

    Carole was a disappointment this week. She invites the girls for the week then goes on a couples only dinner and leaving the rest to eventually find out on their own and get pissed by the excusion. Yet, when Ramonja fail to show up at the concert she is miffed. It was the last night and if R&S was not into the music why go? Carole wanted to do what she wanted without regards to others feelings, yet when R&S did the same thing, she refers to it as poor manners in her blog. Classless.

    Aviva?? What a mess. If Bravo signs her for season two, her contract must state she can not talk about phobias or her peg-leg. We know enough to fill a book ..so STFU.

    SonJa was deeply hurt by the name calling. Add this to the list of “Why I hate Aviva”

    Wait…….

    Aviva only has one leg??? Why hasn’t that been mentioned before? It seems like something she should bring up (minimum) 46 times an episode. HOW DID I MISS THIS???

    Really though, stop shouting from the rooftops how much you want to support children with missing limbs, and then sob because you’re afraid to fly to an island where the 1% vacation. Get on a plane to Africa to support some sort of anti-landmine campaign and then maybe I’ll have a shred of respect for you.

    I re-watched last night and paid a little more attention to the shrieking harpy’s selective arguments.
    Particularly when she busted in on Ramonja and Carole’s discussion about the couples dinner and went off on Sonja. She said they weren’t there to pick up men at bars and bring them home and Ramona worked in, “Like LuAnn” a couple of times. Aviva replied, “No no no no!” and kept yelling at Sonja. Had she been told about Lu at that point I wonder and decided to give her a pass? If I were Sonja I would have said 1) why do you care what I do? No one in the house said anything before you arrived. 2) I’m not the only one who brought home a man. I just the only one who doesn’t have a boyfriend.

    As much as Sonja and Ramona are a mess sometimes, Aviva is going alittle unhinged with all her comments. So she knew they were upset about Ried coming, even if Carole(not sure who planned it) wanted to do dinner, she should have said no. Sonja is the only “single” one and she can do as she pleases. She isnt running off during the day, she is doing all the things with everyone.

    Heathers “Shit Fest” comment really had me laughing so hard!

    Also Ramona really gets in your personal space when she is drinking more so, when she was in Heathers face talking, I would have pushed her face back!

    BSL– awesome recap love!!! Aviva ignores Ramona’s “we’re glad you’re here” b/c she wants more assurance and craves attention.

    Do we know IF The Big A passed her bar exam???? I am tossing it out there b/c she is such a relentless pain in the ass, she is making me relentess in my pursuit of dogging her.

    @ 3 Jungle Red–great name btw–wonderful nod to some real NYC Housweives of “The Women”– you make a great point of Aviva’s lack of perspective. And I too went from pro-Reid/Bless his heart–to what an asshole he is. A little extra testosterone in the house and presto-instant asshole.
    I think it was Heather who said that the best thing is forward motion in life–hopefully the Big A will take that advice and a teeshirt home from this trip.

    I have not been reading the BRAVO blogs–I read a couple of Carole’s and then fell out of habit.

    Youse Guys-please help me out– is any one else hearing Alex Mc Cord’s voice saying “Coming up..” on the past few episodes???

    How many times could Sonja and Ramona say we want you here, we are happy you are here, we are happy Reid brought you so you could spend time with us. Aviva heard none of that because she was so caught up in being right.

    I know people hate Dr. Phil, but he always makes that point. “do you want to be right or do you want to be happy”

    Hoping Sonja got to walk in the garden with the chef. His expressions were hilarious. I could have watched an entire season of Ramona and Sonja roaming around St Barth and laughed the whole time.

    Love each of you, so I’ve arranged for piranha pedicures. The person that screams the loudest gets a trucker hat.

    Will listen closer to see if I hear Alex’s voice, I promise.

    I’m not sure if I’ve made myself clear how much I loathe Aviva. She’s terrible! I think she needs to be put in a room a forced to watch a movie about people that have real problems and reasons to complain. People that lost their home from a natural disaster, lost a child to something terrible and listen to their story or listen to someone speak about their battle with cancer. She shouldn’t be allowed to talk either. We are quite over her story about how she lost her foot while playing somewhere she wasn’t supposed to be, then she chose to amputate to the knee for cosmetic reasons. She got millions in her settlement. Others aren’t so fortunate. Enough

    @21RomoSHEDint…amen! I bet she wouldn’t last 2 minutes in the real world. Let’s see her work and clean and cook and take care of kids.

    I think Sonja being fun and “friendly” was too much for Miss Prissypants. Sonja is everything Aviva isn’t. Independent and full of life and carefree. And she slept with Harry. And that pisses Aviva off because she believes she is better than everyone else.

    She reminds me of a spoiled teacup chihuahua at our puppies training class. All the other dogs are greeting each other. When they tried to sniff the chihuahua it screeched like gym shoes on a wooden floor.

    @Ohiomom Gotta like Sonja for seeing the condescending looks, yet continue flirting and having fun. The interaction between Sonja and the chef made me laugh. I don’t understand Aviva giving Sonja (a single, adult woman) grief for flirting and sleeping with Tomas, yet laugh at the vulgar things her dad said to women that he’s never met before, including Ramona while she was with her husband. The reunion should be interesting.

    What annoys me about Aviva is that she is so self-centered and selfish. I feel that her disability did not make her compasionate. I do not feel even bad for her. She came from money, did everything she wanted in her life, married into money, and has seemingly happy family. Leg or not, she has had priviliged life. She should understand, that even with the initial tragedy in her life, she came out OK. But she needs to be constantly reassured and cheered on. That’s the life she is used to.
    So she has phobias and anxieties. So many people have them. Yet they still have to suck up and just live their lives. I was dealt really shitty cards in life. Do I cry myself to sleep almost every night? Yes, but in the morning I get up and just do things I hate or I am really scared of. Without pretty much any support, in a foreign country. I don’t have a luxury of throwing a tantrum because I am scared of things. I don’t have a choice.
    Aviva says: Don’t underestimate a woman born in NY. WTF She acts like she cannot do anything without her husband next to her. Maybe we actually overestimated her… She is so condescending to Sonja and Ramona, and it kinda showed how cold her heart is. she could throw anybody under the bus. I feel that she was very selfish by making Reid come with her. She should be thanking him profusely, not the other housewives, especially that she really f..up their vacation.

    Not a whole lot more insight here than what you all have come with: *Aviva is an elitist, over privileged, hypocritical asshat, and Reid is a waste if oxygen. *Although I still very much like her, Carol lost a bit of my respect with the exclusion thing. *Sonja was hysterical and righteous in her anger. *Kill me now because Ramona is being the more mature one. *Heather has actually become a favorite despite my initial dislike of her.

    And yes, I do agree with Ramonja that a guy changes the dynamics…a lot!

    I have liked Heather from the start as well as Carole. I think by the second to last day Carole was tired of trying to make everyone happy. The invite should have included all the girls though. At first I like Aviva too… Until we met her father.

    Aviva did not HAVE to take the plane, she CHOSE to take. She could have taken the ferry. There is the chance that Bravo insisted for the drama. I believe she took it for the screen time. She believed that the group would shower her with attention by praising her over and over again. Bullshit she was upset because she “heard” that Reid was going to be asked to leave. She was pissed that they were not waiting for her at the airport cheering for her so by the time they arrived at the house she was livid and freaked the fuck out.

    She is batman crazy! She truly believes that she is special. She needs to visit some Wounded Warriors at a military hospital a reality check.

    The charity spin class is again about her, she wants people impressed and wants to hear how amazing she is.

    I will be happy to see her go.

    Some people need to realize that there is mindless chatter and gossip and then there are malicious words.

    Ramona and the ladies were just chattering amongst themselves about Reid being there. They weren’t being mean spirited in the least. That’s what ladies do when they get together. Mindless chatter. Now while it might hurt your feelings once the girls were gracious to Reid when he got there and they were sweet and cordial Aviva should have let it go.

    Did anyone else catch Carol calling Ramona and Sonja “Ramonja”?

    I believe it was in the beginning when they were in the master suite. I almost fell out of my La-Z-Boy! I realize that lots of snark sites refer to them with that moniker, and it amuses the HELL out of me that Carol just may be a snark-site-lover (like all of us).

    I’m writing blind here, folks. Haven’t read the recap yet. Haven’t read any comments. Too wound up. Just at Aviva and Sonja in the kitchen having it out, and more to go, and just had to come here, like my five year old self on Christmas morning, to say, that “Mother of God! THIS IS GOOD!” Didn’t think that this season would ever get to the heights of that last Bethenny season (and some of that season was like the friggin’ Breaking Bad of reality TV) but wow. And am changing my opinion of Heather. Can almost forgive her for that “Holla” thing as she talks sense in a lot of this. Holy Feck. Now, back to finish. Can’t wait to read the recap. Ah, such is my life? But hey…

    Love, love the recap, BSL! I’m so glad I’m not alone in the Aviva hate. I don’t understand her at all. I have a few anxiety disorders and totally understand why she would have such a hard time on that plane ride – I pray incessantly through a trip on a 747, so a small plane would literally give me a heart attack. However, I don’t typically like to share that fact. It’s embarrassing and I don’t want pity or people going “get over it” (because I can’t) or “are you OK? Are you OK????”. I’ll deal with it myself, TYVM.

    But, I guess I don’t have as much room to talk, because I have both my legs. Of course, know one even KNOWS about Aviva’s missing leg, right? I mean, I had to research it on the internets along with “white trash”.

    Sonja is a sweetie. She’s clearly damaged and needs some love and support. She never tries to hurt anyone and, for that, I’m almost always on her side. You can see that Ramona truly cares for her, but I think she’s too much of a bulldozer for anyone to see through to that side. Aviva’s a horrible bitch for saying what she said. Who needs a fucking welcome wagon for arriving safely to a wicked expensive vacation, the likes of which I will never, ever see? Cry me a mother-effin’ river, Peg Leg.

    Yes, Ramonja are drunks and drunk people drive me nuts when I’m sober. However, they’re on vacation. Bottoms up, baby. (Sonja took that directive to a whole other level, did’t she?)
