After getting some blue drink up her nose, RomCom comments, in what is hopefully an offhand comments and not a terrifying bit of foreshadowing, “You’re trying to kill me!”
Speaking of people talking about their situation that never seems to change, Mo’Rum claims not to know what she wants while Ginger is confident that she doesn’t want him. He claims that while her parents take care of her, he takes care of his parents, which is probably the most telling thing we’ve learned about him so far. Mo’Rum acknowledges that he’s not her usual type, and she doesn’t know how to deal with her feelings like he does. He says he’s a relationship person and gets invested, but she says they’re both young and need to get stuff out of their systems, even though most days she wants to “climb all over” Ginger.
Really, Mo’Rum? Even the days when he’s apparently attending an ugly Christmas sweater party on a tropical island?
Grandpa calls up the GBH, and Latoya informs us that she thinks they have a secret, and her best guess is pregnancy. Latoya seems pretty astute. Apparently GBH hasn’t been “really” drinking, but it seems she’s going the abortion route. Grandpa isn’t psyched to hear about her being out drunk at a bar, and she counters with, “But you’re hooking up with people.” He threatens to break up with her if she goes out on a date, and she promptly and awesomely calls him out on it. He gets all pissy and slams the phone down and stomps away like a kid having a tempter tantrum. I hope she dumps his ass so hard, seriously.
The girls go sex toy shopping, where RomCom is the most comfortable and well-versed with the merchandise, so there you go. She also gets some stuff to make Grandpa last longer, so TMI as usual. Mo’Rum gets some pheromone perfume to use on Filippo, but Latoya points out that Ginger already follows her around the house.
Back at the house, they get in the pool and chat about their situations. RomCom compares Mo’Rum to Grandpa and herself to Ginger. Mo’Rum says titles are bad, because the second she has a boyfriend she starts looking elsewhere. Latoya points out that Ginger genuinely cares for Mo’Rum, wants to be with her, and cut off his GBH. Then she loses me when she tells RomCom that Grandpa “genuinely likes” her, but hasn’t cut off his GBH.
Latoya, you are far too wise to be encouraging this. Stop that, damn it!
She does at least point out that Grandpa is leaning more towards Chelsea, and RomCom begrudgingly agrees but claims she won’t be devastated if he does choose Chelsea.
Mo’Rum and Ginger are out drinking, and she starts flirting with the owner of the bar. Ginger says he has no idea where he stands and whether he should stop it because they’re so bad at communication. That’s very diplomatic of him, because she is clearly the one with the communication problems. Eventually they head home, and Mo’Rum is extremely drunk, even for her.
If you like it, spread it!:

Before I dive into this delicious recap, I would like to say that this is one of the most disturbing RW episodes I have ever scene…IN THE HISTORY OF EVERDOM.
It made me sad, plockness! I like Ginger! As far as Grandpa & RomCom go, last episode was worse for me.
100% agree. It was painful to watch. I had to look away a couple of times.
VA – you are right about the RW 3 deaths – Pedro, Frankie, and now Joey.
Why were all of the guys shirtless on the island tour?
Chelsea totally had an abortion. You KNOW Grandpa is against those. I am going to venture out and say he is against them even in rape/incest situations.
As far as Mo’rum and the bar/club owner – Did anyone else notice kissing sounds when her and skeev-o were standing in the street. There were def. some lip smacking noises going on.
You know what all of the people in the romantic house relationships have in common??? Low self esteem.
I just need help with understanding how GrampPa thinks…EVERYTHING assholelike that he listed to Ginger he does. I am honest to goodness scared for any woman he gets into a relationship with he is down right terrifying. Ginger is holding on to some scary pain, he really shouldn’t be on the show and should be in out-patient therapy. Dizzam, Latoya impresses me each and every week with her rational line of thinking. I swore I was in Bizarro World when Cap. Needy was the voice of reason. This episode was very painful to watch.
BTW, why do I only see you recaps almost a day after they have been posted?
Moli – I have the same experience with the recaps!
I really feel for Ginger and I think he’s adorable and seems like a great guy. Trey disgusts me and appears to have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I actually think the Ronnie/Sammi comparison is an insult to Ronnie…that’s how much Trey sucks.
OH. SNAP. New Challenge trailer…
http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/28-former-real-world-stars-to-compete-on-mtvs-the-challenge-2012218
This episode made me sad too, I hope Ginge gets it together. I see some parallels between Trey/RomCom and Marie/Ginge, but trey is definitely the douchiest. Marie doesn’t mean to be a jerk to Ginge, she just is thoughtless sometimes, and he clearly has some emotional baggage to work out.
The lack of self-awareness on Trey’s part is astonishing! I loved how he doesn’t skip a beat while discussing how badly Marie treats Ginge, while simultaneously treating RomCom light shit in the middle of the conversation! Hello pot, meet kettle!
You know what the best part about this season is?????? No heart to hearts in the local Subway (sandwich shop, that is).
Wow. It’s pretty much all new people on the new challenge. Good. Anyway to keep Paula Walnutz off my screen is a good thing.
Wow, other than Wes and Sarah (go AWAY already), I’m STOKED for that cast. Mostly new people, but gems like Trishelle and Alton!? Bring it ON!!! Lots of capitalization and exclamation points!!!
@Judgy and now you can read the recaps and comments without rolling your eyes at the MP’s constant drooling over CT.
man, I wish I could watch that trailer…stupid blocks on my work computer. I know what I’ll be doing first thing when I get home
Omg Classy, you’re so right! You rock – I didn’t even notice that. But let’s face it, since it IS me I’m sure I’ll find something to get annoyed about. Perhaps the fact that I’m sure Zach will be bashed over and over despite the fact that I think he’s 100% hotter than CT and CT has just as many personality flaws.
Ugh, I said “the fact” twice in one sentence. Repetition is so repetitive.
@classy – Hey, add me to that list too! Lol.
I’m kind of excited to see Jemmye, because that seems like it will be an epic train wreck, and I’m excited to see KellyAnne again, because I like her.
Ok, to this episode – I don’t think it’s a fair comparison, Ginger and Marie and Trey and Laura, because Ginger tells one story to Marie and another to everyone else, whereas Laura lays it out for Trey and he continues to treat her like shit. I really think Marie would be more sensitive if she was aware of what he really wanted or how she was really affecting him. I also think the Ron/Sam comparison is wrong, because as much as Ronnie is scary, Sam could be really shitty in her own right, whereas Laura tries to cater to Trey’s every whim.
This season is the efn weirdest most uncomfortable thing to watch….well like Plock said. I didn’t even watch the trailor yet but not surprised no CT.
He’s been hanging with Brandon aka Captain Needy in town though on Wednesdays with Cara Maria and is not dubbed ” RW Royalty”…not gonna lie he looks hot but I can do with out the old aliances and the doosh trio.
What I was wondering this whole time is why they didn’t pull Ginge off the show??? I mean when Ruthie was a raging drunk mess she got yanked so did Joey. This guy is a straight up 5150 is I ever saw one and it’s almost as sick as watching Tre and Juicy in the vineyards…Cable has scraped right through the bottom of the barrell and is now digging into the dirt to get footage forTV not matter who it hurts.
And yes, I know they all sign up for this but at a certain point doesn’t morality kick in?
I am sadly apart of said MP, but I am sure there will be new eye candy for us all.
I am really concerned that MTV didn’t make this kid go and get help. None of this is ok, and none of the children in that house are equipped to deal with his issues.
Gyp – I didn’t think TPTB interfered until the cast member asked for help…?
@ Gypsy — IIRC, they pulled Ruthie because she was underage and it was too much of a liability for the show. I’m pretty sure there’s a subclause in the RW contracts which allows temporary removal of one’s soul so that morals and ethics don’t interfere with the drama.
I guess you guys are right but, isn’t one who is ” a danger to themselves or others” automatically put under a hold not matter the state (I just ref’d CA b/c that’s what Britt Britt was put under).
It really freaked me out watching Ginge hit and burn himself and I truly felt bad for Cpt Needy.
Not to get too personal but my ex was a sever addict and I jumped in with both feet trying to help to no avail. AA,NA, Al-Anon the whole 9 and, it’s really a lot to put on those other kids if he is a harm to himself especially Cpt. Needy for which this behavior could be a trigger and set him off to use or cut or whatnot.
In reality I know Needy is ok, he’s doing promos up the street but still. I am bothered by the lack of intervention. This is the third time Ginge has hurt himself on screen. IDK…maybe I am getting too old to not let this get to me.
I think there are 4 RW that have passed…Puck maybe?
Nah, Puck is still alive and well….. beatin’ his wife, ya know, the usual.
oh yea, that was his deal… loser! UGH.
Also, now that I think about it I’d be willing to put money on the notion that the only reason CT isn’t there is because it’s Battle of the Seasons and other than possibly Adam, they couldn’t get any other RW: Paris cast members.
@Judgy that’s a good theory. I didn’t think of that. My friends and I actually think he cut a deal with the six finalists at the end of last season that they would all get a greater cut than what they show allotted 1, 2 & 3. We think they made a deal to give each other a cut fo the money no matter who won. I just don’t see CT, the guy who carried Bananas as a backpack giving up on that mountain in Iceland, It just seemed staged and a total flip from how much they were against him the season before then they seemingly all go along so suddenly with no explination season 27. Just a theory though.
And that’s all I have to say about that
Don’t watch this show but noticed the super stunning redhead on the little picture and had to stop in to say she is gorgeous! I think I have a new girl crush.
Both good points Judgy and Gypsy.
Or CT realized the only way he could win was to get on “their” side.
Well. I retract my feelings of good will towards Marie after tonight’s episode. Wtf.
Thanks Classy…either way I think there was an ‘arrangement’ made. My friend has Tweet pics of CT, Cpt Needy and Cara Maria who now appears to be DJ’ing at a local bar in Boston. The Cptain & CM look pretty cozy…
@ Liz, I can’t wait for next weeks recap- I totally agree! And Ginge…I’m telling ya’ll he’s headed for a breakdown.
I like how Swift went to Church. If he needed a little faith to restore his happiness then good for him.
Marie is evilllllllllll.
That Marie is a BICTH in that order (Love and Hip Hop reference)
So, for all you challenge lovers, I just saw this: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20623466,00.html. Apparently Diem has cancer again
Feeling a little bad about all those cancer barbie comments now!
Sorry the link didn’t work right: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20603790,00.html
Ohhhhhhh that is not good news about Diem. Sad horns for sure.
