He heads inside to play pool with Captain Needy, who promptly notices the self-inflicted wound and expresses concern. Despite spending most of the episode begging for someone, anyone to care about him, Ginger is not satisfied with this concern. He refuses to admit or talk about it and insists on continuing to engage in the fine sport of billiards.
Gag me with a spoon, RomCom has to pull a reluctant Grandpa aside for the chat that he wanted to have in the first place. He mopily says he’s tired of having these chats every week.
Boo hoo, it’s hard for Grandpa to decide between two beautiful, nice women who are inexplicably attracted to him. Inside, Mo’Rum and Latoya repeat all of the many reasons they don’t understand RomCom’s attraction to Grandpa. Outside, Grandpa stalls by talking about the “drinking contest,” but RomCom pulls him back on topic.
He says this is not his thing (I assume he means being on the show, in which case why try out?) and RomCom is the only thing that kept him grounded and gave him a sense of home. He liked having someone to stay in with him, not drink with him, take care of him… you know, adapt her entire personality to his every whim. Apparently, that’s not easy for him to give up, but he realized after his conversation with Chelsea that it’s not fair for him to string two girls along.
Apparently all it took was a commercial break for Grandpa to change his mind YET AGAIN, so now he wants to sleep on it. He accusingly asks her if he’s run out of time, and she continues to defer the decision to him in hopes that he won’t end things. And just like that, once again, he doesn’t want it to be over. Didn’t even need to sleep on it! She’s crying and she hugs him while he asks if she’s mad at him. I cannot believe we have another entire third of the season left of this bullshit. They’re like a paler, accent-less version of Ronnie and Sammi.
RomCom heads inside, where the other girls ask about her chat with Grandpa. RomCom says she doesn’t want to talk about it.
Latoya tells us that she’s given advice to Grandpa and she’s given advice to RomCom, but they’re adults and it’s not her problem anymore. I cannot wait until it’s not my problem anymore. Needless to say, Mo’Rum and Latoya are not happy about the lack of “breakup.” Meanwhile, RomCom tries to have a cutesy moment in the confessional with Grandpa, but he’s not having it.
