Real World Recap: Maxed Out

Once they have the house to themselves, Captain Needy surmises that Kyndra wants to have a good time, so they head out to the liquor store.  The music informs us that she has a “twinkle in both eyes,” and is in fact calculating the demise of poor Needy.  He puts up almost no resistance as they buy some whiskey.

While the other six roomies sit down to one seriously fancy dinner, Needy insists that Kyndra wants very badly to see him drunk, and she won’t settle for buzzed.

“No seriously, this is all for her.  I swear.  Never mind that it’s my only chance to get laid.”

She then insists that he do whiskey shots, and he protests for a bit before flat-out admitting to us that he’s going to have to get drunk if he wants to get laid.  We get a montage of them drinking and flirting all around the house, while Grandpa laments to the other roomies at dinner that they wish Captain Needy was there.  Swift (hey Swift!  You’re still here!) points out that he’s been desperate for a girl to hang out with, so they should let him have his moment.

Kyndra tells Needy that he’s a “grown-ass person” who can do what he wants, but he says it was fun having everyone be “super-proud” of him.  He says they won’t be back for a while, but if editing is to be trusted, they’re already on their way home!  Alas!  Swift has to run inside to pee, so he finds Captain Needy first.  He immediately knows Needy is drunk, but promises not to say anything.

Latoya asks if Needy got it in, but Swift is suddenly concerned about people minding their own business.  RomCom has deduced that Kyndra is drunk, but when she voices her concerns to Grandpa, he insists that Captain Needy isn’t drunk.

And now that everyone is home after several hours of an empty house, these two finally get down to business.

The next morning, Captain Needy tells us that he’s embarrassed even though he knows he didn’t do anything bad the night before.  He apologizes to no one in particular for the letdown.  Because it’s our problem, apparently.

Apropros of nothing, Captain Needy confesses to Ginger that he drank the night before.  Ginger gives him just enough of a reaction to bring out the guilt he was clearly already feeling, and then asks if Needy wants to stay sober or not.  Finally satisfied with the level of attention he’s received for the moment, Captain Needy ominously tells us he’ll have to “see how it goes.”

“My journal is SO getting a pageful tonight!”

Out for the night, the roomies run into Max, and it’s awkwardness all around.  Ginger especially doesn’t know what to do with himself.  When Max suggests a drink, Mo’Rum gives him a casual brush-off, and somehow he ends up sitting between Latoya and RomCom.  Okay, can someone (anyone?) give Max a little sumthin-sumthin for his trouble?

Mo’rum put everyone in the awkward situation. Be a big girl, suffer through the date and tell him that you don’t think it’s going to work. Then Latoya isn’t in the middle. Max is a nice guy so she isn’t going to be rude to him just because Mo’rum can’t make up her mind…

I can’t look away yet I can’t find it in my heart to care about antything these people do except the stupid things like Matching Hakuna Matatta tattoos, Needy’s Ear plate colors, That bikini shirt RomCom had on that a crazy lady at the beach I was at this summer had the same one.

I really dislike this island location idea this season. And it feels like when they spend timd off the island it’s a short slip or wayyyy to dark in the bar to see what’s going on so I just tune it out.

I wonder if RomCom is going to flip out at the reunion once she sees what a fool (not that she needs any help) has made of her.

LOLz. I’ll see what I can find out about town thru Cpt. Needy’s appearances…He’s been seen with none other than Cara Maria BTW…I was going to save that for the Challenge but, oh well.

Classy I don’t follow more than a couple RW’er anymore. They get too annoying with their self promotions and bookings clogging up my reel but keep my ears to the streets and see what’s going on.

I thought MoRum was awful this episode. She was acting like a little kid that ordered a dessert, when that dessert finally arrived, she didn’t want it anymore but god forbid anyone else at the table touch it. It was amazing how above the board Max stayed, he had every right to tell her off. I don’t think MoRum actually invited him back as much as he happened to be coming back to the island a week or two later.

I don’t know anything about rehab/NA but don’t they all encourage you to stop all drugs/drinking? Why did CptNeedy have to take a drug test? Did they all have to pee in a cup in order to work with the animals? Or was it part of his contract that he had to pee in a cup every week while on the show?

I think Ginger would be great on the challenges, he has the physical strength to do well. Latoya would also be great, all the truth/logic bombs would go right over the other contestants heads. RomCom would never survive, there are already too many of her ‘character’ on challenges. I don’t think Swift would last due to the fact that he has such a large ego in a four foot tall body.

I fear that in next weeks episode, Chelsea will be arriving right at the end of the episode. They know it is something we all want to see, so they will drag it out even longer. I think the failed drug test will take up a lot of the episode, include a psa about drug use.

No stealth about it Max is gay as is Phillipo – Mo’Rum = Fag Hag. She is into Ginger until some other gay man catches her eye.

So odd how Rom Com HAS to ANYTHING that has romantic appeal to a 14 year old. Win me an animal at the fair. Let’s dance in the rain. Next week her and gramps share a plate of spaghetti and end up sharing the same noodle which leads to a kiss – AWWWWW. She makes me sick and I hope her whole Snow White world comes crashing down when Chelsea shows up.

According to Wikipedia – Mo’Rum, Ging, Rom Com and Gramps are the St. Thomas team for the next challenge.

Info out about Chelsea/Trey/Laura next week and the reunion leaked, and it’s hilarious and infuriating. There’s also a great sneak peek with Laura and Trey on MTV’s site, and YouTube. She’s a fucking idiot. Does she not have anyone in her life to give her wake-up call?

Here’s what leaked for anyone who doesn’t care about being spoiled.

Direct quote: “The editors are going to have their hands full with this reunion.”

    Marie and Robb
    - More time was spent on Marie than Robb than Trey and Laura, mostly because Trey and Laura are on good terms.
    - Robb broke up with Marie via text message. Marie said that it was because he wasn’t a man. Robb was sick of his boys calling him words that rhyme with wussy and said breaking up with her was the solution.
    - Robb didn’t realize how poorly he was being treated until he saw it on the show.
    - Robb still wore a pair of yellow shoes and a bracelet, which he and Marie bought for each other to symbolize their relationship. Marie threw hers out and said it was tacky that he still wore his.
    - Robb said he was completely over her with no feelings. Robb’s girlfriend was in the studio behind the cameras.
    - Marie said that she was sorry that he was hurting himself and didn’t know that and if she had known things probably would have been different. In her eyes, the intervention that happened was about the alcohol.

    Trey and Laura
    - Trey and Laura had sex the night before the reunion.
    - They talked about how difficult long distance is.
    - On the show, Trey chooses Chelsea over Laura. Chelsea then tells Trey that she has a boyfriend back home.
    - I’ve been told that on the challenge, they were a “full-fledged” couple.

    Brandon
    - Brandon did coke the first day before the other roommates showed up.
    - He was tested the day after the second issue.
    - The drug test allegedly started after one of Swift’s friends bought drugs on the island. Some of the cast (guess who) blamed Swift for Brandon’s departure (even though it had absolutely nothing to do with him).
    - Off camera, Brandon bragged a lot about his habits and “lifestyle” and said he wasn’t going to stop. This bothered his roommates, who brought up Joey.
    - Brandon walked off stage at one point and the entire audience had to clap to get him back.

    LaToya and Swift
    - Both parties stand firm on their stances of the hookup. LaToya offered to take a polygraph.
    - Swift said he didn’t want to bring girls home because he didn’t want to hurt LaToya.
    - The book that burned was not a bible; it was Swift’s address book.
    - LaToya stole it and gave it to Marie, who burned it. Marie justified herself by saying there were only 3-4 numbers in there.
    - At one point, LaToya put her hands on Swift’s face. Swift said that was the second time she had hit him. Maria tried to get him to apologize, but she refused.

    T&Ri vs All
    - Marie attempted to push Swift off the boat, but someone caught him. Marie said that if she really wanted to, she would have tried harder.
    - Everyone was mad at Marie for the way she treated Rob, and LaToya was the only one defending her.
    - Everyone also believed that Swift and LaToya had sex.
    - Robb was the one who told people Swift was gay and he laughed it off. Robb also put Swift’s tie between his asscheeks, and Swift laughed it off. This caused LaToya and Marie to get mad because if one of the girls had done the same, he would have cursed and been in their face. They called him sexist and said he has something against women.
    - Off stage, Swift threatened LaToya and said he had people who would beat her ***. LaToya said her friends were sitting in the front row so she wasn’t worried. Marie then chimed in and told him to shut the **** up, that this was her city and she had people who would be there in a minute. Trey then got up and got in Marie and LaToya’s face and yelled that neither of them were going to do anything about it. One of LaToya’s friends in the audience yelled at Trey to step back. Trey was visibly angry, clenching his fists and staring at the ground. LaToya moved closer to him, touched his arms, and said “Yeah, you probably want to calm down before you go on the same path as your daddy.” (For those unaware, Trey’s father is in prison for murder) She also refused to apologize for that.
    - Trey, Swift and Brandon offered Laura their final check before they left the island to punch Marie. Marie called Laura a word that rhymes with wussy because she entertained it but never did anything. She then challenged Laura to fight.

    - A new preview for the challenge was shown. It had mostly the same clips that we’ve already seen, with a few new clips. The four who were there said that it was very intense and nuts, that the challenges were hard, and one challenge was cancelled the day of because of an equipment malfunction. Marie said she didn’t shy away from any drama, while Laura said she shied away because she wanted nothing to do with it. Robb said they went in close after the taping of their season so they were all at least trusting of each other and could communicate, but later down the road they had stumbles and second guessed one another. Brandon, LaToya, and Swift all said they would do a challenge if asked. Brandon in particular really wants to do one.
    - Scooter Alpert (reunion producer) had to come out a few times and tell the cast to stop and get their shiz together.
    - Maria Menounos hosted and said this was the worst reunion she has ever done.
    - The reunion will be airing directly after the final episode.

@gypsy…I can only image how annoying the real worlders are Irl. I can barely stand most of the in a challenge where I can fast forward through what I don’t feel like watching.

This might be the only time I will ever defend Laura, but I think she actually might do well in challenges because she will be the quiet underdog with the physical prowess, reminiscent of Paula before she got way too big for her britches. Trey might bring her down, though. He’s another Danny, who looks the part but will be too much of a bitch boy sore loser, GUARANTEED.

I’d say that the two that I really dislike this season are Marie and Trey. Marie is a female Staten Island loud mouth douche bag. As much as she blasts Swift for being sexist, she sure antagonizes the hell out of him. Swift atleast has the self control to leave her alone until provoked. She’s a bully. Really like Latoya but her blind allegiance to Marie is foolish. Loyal but foolish.

Trey needs no explanation. He’s a manipulative, mysoginistic, condescending, borderline abusive asshole. That said he atleast limits his drama to his dealings with Rom Com. Marie treats Ginger just as badly as Trey treats Rom Com but doesn’t shy away from judging him for it. I really didn’t like the way Marie tried to manipulate Ginger into hitting Swift last week. I think that was the last straw for me. *SPOILER* Glad to hear that post season, Robb dumped her like hot garbage

@Classy, you know it! I have a hair apmnt next Thursday night where Danny gets his hair styled and Danny’s stylist went to H.S. with CT…Cara Maria, CT and the twits from the last BCG club all live in the same town and Melinda used to cheat on Danny with Gypsy BF’s bestie. Maria Menumos knows CT (as well as Dane Cook) bc they all grew up in the same county and Maria’s parents used to own a zoo that got shut down that Dane Cook does a stand up routine about. The Zoo was shut down for poor treatment of animals and I believe a gorilla attack on a human. How’s that for drama? :-D

They are just as disgusting IRL as they are on TV and I am getting too old to hear the promos to come see “CT, Real World Royalty” and his ROYAL BITCH of a girlfriend. I avoid any place they will be with a vengence.

Now that Needy might be dating Cara Maria I just want the ride to stop. Man, that chick has it for the headcases doesn’t she? (OH yes she’s an aspiring DJ now too btw.) But, I will pass along anything note worthy to you all.

If I were ROMCOM I would have knocked a bitch out. Marie sucks a rusty starfish.

I do think Swift eggs Marie on, but would agree Marie is much more egregious. I mean come on, that stunt in front of their boss was totally instigating on his part. I actually think Marie is quite pretty. And she has definitely gained weight, but she’s still a pretty skinny girl, comparatively. C’mon, give the girl a little slack. :) Cracking up about Trey’s “fluffy” hair comment this week though.

Wow, Spring, great spoilers! I usually avoid reunion shows b/c they’re lame, but I’ll pop some corn and settle in for this one.

I like poor Gingey. Marie is such a douche!
