Recap: Love in the Wild – The Finale!

The men arrive at a new field set up with two tiny command centers equipped with Walkie Talkies and a MAP. They need to tell their bitches to pick up boxes basically. Then they can open the crates to reveal the next challenge. Ben is confident because he plays soccer…? Ken is confident because of, well, Ben.

“Find my career, it’s inside one of these coffins”

The men need to use the maps to direct the ladies through a varied terrain to recover a wheel, four peddles and two seats. Are they building a tandem unicycle? Ask Google Images, and ye shall receive:

Still a better love story than Twilight

Ken is working to be very precise and clear as he directs Yanina to the closest item, the wheel. Yanina finds Ken to be very easy to follow, and also sexy over the radio. I guess he’s got a voice built for radio. Cockney is immediately flustered as usual. He is disappointed this challenge isn’t like soccer. Juggs is completely frustrated at being lost precisely two seconds in.

She is also not contributing much

Yanina retrieves the bicycle seats and is clearly and confidently directed to a rice paddy. I have just determined that rice paddies look very low fun to slog through.

Yanina calls this “muddy”

Juggs literally stumbles upon the seats box. This is all while Ben is trying to direct her to where the wheels are, and she does a double take at some random box laying in the middle of the field.

It’s failure, Juggs. Failure

At least now Ben knows where she is and tells her to forget the wheel and heads her in the direction of the pedals. Well, maybe. He does call her a dancer which is pretty cute. She is immediately lost again when she gets to the rice paddy and between Ben not having a clue how to direct her and Juggs not seeing the box a little way over to her left, things look grim.

And there’s this

Juggs is somehow just randomly stumbling onto the items and by now she has lost the bloom of their “special connection”. She is cursing Ben like a sailor and Ben is deserving it. Meanwhile, Yanina has all the items and is heading to Ken.

Lol

In the crate is the rest of a two person bike, if the two seats, four pedals and wheel weren’t enough of a hint. Kenina is already cataloging parts and reading directions to put the thing together. Team officious. Juggs, meanwhile, has to go back to find the wheel that Cockney couldn’t direct her to the first time and she is cursing up a storm. Ben finds it remarkable that he is not the hothead this time.

And delighting in it

MrsMiaWallace is an east coast girl with a  penchant for travel, libations and great cuisine. She is not known to turn down a mimosa or a martini and finds the transition between the two a good way to mark the passing of time since she can never remember to wear a watch. Her secret love for reality tv and addiction to Bravo have drawn her like a moth to the glittering snark of TVGasm,  where she finds there are others like her... hopefully also nursing Bloody Marys.

I liked both couples so much – I didn’t mind who won, which is unusual for me. They both seemed to to connect with their partners and I was glad to see that both couples are still together. I have no snark – Damn you show!!!

Ugh. I fast-forwarded to the end with this one. Just couldn’t take all that scrambling and yelling when it was obvious from three episodes ago who would win. Great recaps though!

Great recap! I just read an interview with Summer and Chase – they are also still together and visit each other every other weekend. She is planning on moving to CA in August. It is interesting how this show ends up with more couples (supposedly) than the Bachelor/ette series…
