Revenge Recap: Don’t Tell Mom the White Haired Man is Dead

She tells Nolan about Whitey and that she found the pocket watch with Mom’s picture and what may have been Mom’s anti-psychotic meds.

Amanda is sneaking out of the bar, on her way to the Graysons to give Charlotte the journal. Jack catches her, after banning her from seeing the Graysons. She lies her way out of the situation just as a man enters the bar carrying Declan’s driver’s license which he dropped at the guy’s house while he was robbing it. Yes, you read that correctly.

“Wow, your brother sure is mentally challenged!”

Declan says he worked alone, the guy promises not to press charges if the stuff is returned, and Jack tells the guy they owe the guy a favor. This kid needs to be sent away OR needs to be the body in the sunken boat. Had it with him.

The entire next section occurs at Grayson Manor and revolves around Victoria’s “press conference”, which in and of itself is completely ridiculous. And YET!, it becomes even more ridiculous when the following happens:

1) Despite Victoria’s warnings and supposed security, Emily waltzes into the house just as Aiden anonymously delivers Victoria’s fake passport to Daniel, revealing Victoria’s plans.

2) Amanda delivers the journal to Charlotte who then reveals to a Vanity Fair reporter, who is mid-interview with Vic, that she is David Clark’s daughter.

3) Victoria tells Amanda to stay for the press conference and then reveals to the reporters (and the entire world apparently) that she is now part of the Grayson clan due to her kinship with Charlotte.

Couldn’t have said it any better myself, Charlotte

4) Conrad reveals to the Vanity Fair reporter that he and Victoria are planning a wedding ceremony and she will get the exclusive to the story.

“What the hell is going on here?”

This whole section is such a mish-mash of reveals and revelations, it isn’t really clear who turns out on top. Although Victoria certainly didn’t do too bad for herself all things considered. Let’s see how she can wiggle her way out of that wedding ceremony.

Back at the bar, Jack sees all the hubbub on TV including Amanda’s induction into the Grayson clan. He no happy. When she gets home, he very quickly and directly breaks up with her, while maintaining that he will be there for the baby. Gotta feel a little bad for Fauxmanda at this point.

Awww, sorry whatever your name is…

When Emily gets home, she finds Aiden there. When she tries to kick him out (again!), he pulls out the flight recording which will give her A LOT of ammunition for future use, wouldn’t you think?

And finally, Emily is listening to a voicemail on from Whitey’s home number – from her long lost mother. She’s wondering where he is – she’s worried and she loves him…Well, that clears that up – Mom is straight up nuts.

no, no, declan CAN’T be the sunken body, because fauxmanda needs to be!!! and if not her, then ashley. declan is more useless than annoying.

as much as i do still like the show and don’t plan on not watching anytime soon, i’m thinking the first season was better. it’s getting a bit too weird right now, and not in a good way.

All flight recorders/black boxes are actually orange. Makes them easier to find in the wreckage.

I don’t get all the hate for Fauxmanda?? I like her, and I like her with Jack because I HATE Emily with Jack. They have very little chemistry. Jack is actually very boring, and I can’t see what Emily finds so fascinating about him. Especially now HOT Aiden is in the picture.

I thought the sunken body had a manly arm and watch, but I WISH it was Ashley. She’s still the worst.

I think it might be that guy that Declan is robbing things with…… It was a manly looking arm but it could be fauxmanda’s. I don’t think that arm looked like Ashley’s though. Not her skin color and too big. Her arms are super slender. Now Fauxmanda has manly arms.

@lovingrevenge — i don’t know about others, but i personally dislike fauxmanda because she is so desperate to be liked/have something in her life that it’s pathetic.

@elle most people want to be like. I don’t think that makes her pathetic at all, it makes her vulnerable. And frankly makes Emily comes off mean for using her for it.

@lovingrevenge — i don’t disagree that most people want to be liked, but she still comes across as pathetic, like she’s trying too hard.

i don’t know if that’s why other people find her annoying, but that’s why i do.

it’s also why i find ashley annoying — she tries too hard to be something she’s not, and she also comes across as pathetic as a result. she’ll always be the former assistant, even if she cons daniel into marrying her (even though i doubt the writers will do that). no one is going to respect her as having any power or being a true part of hamptoms society, and that happens all the time in reality with former assistants.

I also find Fauxmanda annoying…not as bad as Ashley, but annoying none the less.

I want Jack and Emily to get together so bad. I want him to know that Emily is actually the real Amanda and they can adopt a dog and call him “Sammy Dos” and then they can sail off into the sunset.

I don’t like Fauxmanda. She is willing to pass off a baby on Jack that is not his and that alone makes her horrible. Or at least she thinks it is not his.

I really like Charlotte and Declan when both of them are not being stupid. I also want Jack and Emily together.

Am I the only person who still has hope for Emily and Daniel? Or at least liked entertaining the thought he would turn out to be the sweet guy who was trying to seperate himself from his crazy family? Maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

Not a big fan of Fauxmanda either but I agree that she’s just really sad and vulnerable. She is, after all, totally living her life based off of what Emily tells her.

theres no way declan ACTUALLY left his ID while robbing the place. the revenge writers are not that lazy.
    two possibilities:
    1. his co-thief planted the ID there to blame declan for all past/future crimes
    2. his co-thief planted the ID there and the guy who came by with it is also in on the crime spree. it was just a test to see if declan would rat on his partner. and he passed, so maybe they’ll bring him in on some bigger stuff.

regardless of all that, i didn’t like the looks of that guy or the way he was looking at jack’s bar.

Fauxmanda was quick to push Emily around when Emily was the only one with anything to lose. Paybacks are tough.

Loved this show last year. This year its starting to remind me of Prison Break… Once the premise is exhausted in year one, the writers start scrambling and coming up with more and more absurd twists and reversals
