Seeing an opportunity to swoop in, the Initiative used its influence and freed Conrad – for a price. Will Emily regret setting him up to take the fall for Whitey’s death now that the Initiative is involved and controlling Conrad or was this just a way for her to gain access to the shady group? I will say that the presence of the Initiative did not bug me as it has in week’s past. The whole thing made much more sense now that they have a known purpose.
Miss Initiative 2012
Conrad’s wedding gift to Vic was hilarious and completely appropriate for both the occasion and this couple. That gun will most surely be seen again at a later date.
Outtrash
Yes, it is harsh to use the word “trash” when describing the Stowaway and all its inhabitants, but in relation to the Grayson empire…the Stowaway is a bit, well, trashy. Especially now that Kenny is onboard! Hey Kenny is a stowaway on the Stowaway! I dislike Kenny and his “evil!” act is just “silly!”
I think I may have figured out the problem with the bulk of these Stowaway characters. At first, I thought it was because they were poor. Then I thought it was because they were sad. But now I know it is because they are stupid. Stupid clinched it for me – and you I bet.
Anyway the bar has been saved by Kenny, who – you may or may not have guessed – is evil. Jack and Amanda are full on together and by the end of the episode he has asked her to marry him. And he got a haircut. Declan and Charlotte are also working on getting back together (Victoria: “Not him again!”(?) – HAHAHAHA!) and she bails on the wedding to be at the Stowaway reopening.
All in all, just another night at the Stowaway!
This was cute though, right? Sorta?
Outsmart
Mason Treadwell is chomping at the bit for a story – a big story. He even gone so far as to construct visual aids to piece the puzzle together. He’s a professional people!
“Look what I made!”
Em constructs a story that Amanda’s scars were removed with the assistance of an anonymous benefactor. She casually mentions Conrad’s connection to Whitey which sets in motion the investigation which will lead to his arrest.
What Emily doesn’t count on is Victoria casually mentioning to Mason that Emily is just a common “juvie girl.” The alarms in his head are triggered and the case heads in a new direction. A dangerous direction.
A common juvie girl
The line that stuck with me from this episode is when Amanda said that she would take care of Mason if he didn’t back off and away from her and the baby. Mason may be in danger, girl!
Jonathan Mallen grew up in San Francisco, went to college at Santa Clara, and has spent the bulk of his youth living and dying in LA. Don't worry, mostly living. He has worked as an actor, teacher, limo driver, waiter, personal assistant, office assistant, script reader, retail associate, etc etc AND etc... Very glamorous, he knows. He is very happy to add blogger to his illustrious resume.

I rock the full cleavage anytime if I want to. I got hot boobs and I might as well show them off.
Dammit Fauxmanda has won me over completely. I like her now and actually want her to be okay.

“Do you work well with red yard?” Haha that’s so great.
I can’t help but feel for Fauxmanda too. Carl has certainly mellowed her out. Also: anyone think Kara is looking very squinty? I’m a big Jennifer Jason Leigh fan but I can’t take her seriously when she’s all drugged out looking. Maybe it’s the rough life? Having Mason threaten Emily’s plans adds a bit of excitement (and hopes for more awesome revenge-y episodes like this one!) for the future.
Gosh I love this show!!

haha! the first dress ashley tried on was the dress i wore to my rehearsal dinner. i wish she’d worn it to the wedding, too. and it’s most definitely a wedding dress! i mean, it isn’t sold as a wedding dress, but, dude, i felt like i could have worn it to my wedding (wish i had instead of the 12 layers of tulle plus crinolin that made me soooo overheated).
the stowaway is like my local gross towny bar i despise but get dragged to every once in a while. i am friends with the owner (knew her from when we were teenagers), and i still hate going there. the stowaway is, likewise, gross. and kenny is freakin’ annoying and i would like to see him gone. i’m okay with him being the dead arm if he winds up being that.

Hmmm. I totally missed the dress you’re talking about. I went back and looked too. I liked Nolan’s hair in this episode.
