Revenge Recap: Mommy Issues

She didn’t pop out of the cake at her memorial, just found in her log cabin with antler chandelier. The government has her stashed away, hiding from the bad guys that tried to do her in on that fateful flight. Vicky (she would have me banned from the Hamptons for life if she read that) has been in contact with Charlotte and…our favorite near albino, the White Haired Man. More on him later.

And now she is in contact with Emily who has gained access to her dealings via the newest beach themed cam, the Clam Cam. The whale is SO last season. She didn’t have too much of a direct hand in the shenanigans this epi, but you just know she’ll be back on the scene for some REVENGE!

3) Nolan

Only Nolan wears three layers to the beach

Nolan, Nolan, Nolan… The ladies love him, the dudes love him, he gets the best lines, the best wardrobe (although that was a little subdued this week), he now gets to live with Emily, AND he got a haircut! What else is there to say?

The team of Emily and Nolan is back and they are breaking and entering, spying, and cracking wise just like old times. It’s all good.

Except…remember when Nolan was a little bit smarmy and we weren’t sure whether to like him or not? He had his own dramas going. I kind of miss that Nolan. I can see how Tyler might have scared him for a while, but I hope the show allows him to show his not so adorable side too.

5) Charlotte

I hear being carted back to rehab during your mother’s memorial is bad for your recovery

I know, I know – I am just as shocked as you are by Little Miss Grayson’s high ranking. But let’s face it, she had a lot to do this episode and managed to come off as both likable and sympathetic. She moved the plot along more than anyone else this week.

After her overdose she was shipped off to rehab for 6 months, but was recommitted after her drug test came back falsely positive. I hate when that happens. Her speech at the memorial was sweet and I liked that she pushed Ashley aside to claim her right to the Grayson throne. Keep it up, Charlotte!

6) Mom

She looked pretty good in leather restraints, amirite?

She may have only been on for a few minutes, but her presence was felt throughout the episode and the show is working up to her big arrival in the Hamptons. Those scenes in the psych ward were the perfect taste. Again, so happy they aren’t doing the typical “mystery woman sitting in the dark” soap opera crap.

As a fan of Jennifer Jason Leigh I hope they allow her to bring some Single White Female crazy to the show. What is she transformed into Victoria? Hide the stillettos, Vick.

You failed to mention Nolan’s kick ass abs….. After seeing those, I could care less which way he liked his bread buttered

Charlotte’s doctor gave me the creeps…at first, I thought maybe they were hooking up. But since they aren’t, I can’t believe she was okay with the way he followed her around 24/7.

Conrad’s hint about Ashley cheating was certainly ominous….would be a bit too skeevy to be having sex with dad & son though, wouldn’t it?

Somehow, over the summer, I forgot how freaking AWESOME this show is!!!!!!

    My 2 fav parts:
    - When Nolan asked Emily if they were going to get some revenge.
    - At the memorial, when a random voice says about Ashley, “Who is that?” and Ashley tells her minion to check the speakers b/c she doesn’t want to deal with any feedback. LOL!

Plock, mine was when Emily told Jack that she was going to be the babys godmother…I was like “Oh no she didn’t!!” His face was priceless!!

Ok, if the dog figured out that Em is Amanda, when the eff is Jack going to figure this out…

I really did like Daniel and Em together…
Yay for Nolan finally getting that haircut!!

ps, anyone know what happened to S-Natch?

i enjoyed the character-by-character analysis. can’t wait until sunday’s episode.

i don’t dislike declan, although i think possibly if his character were different, i might … by which i mostly mean that i don’t like his face — something about it bugs me (so does the hair), but i think the character itself is okay and redeems him.

i really don’t expect (or care) that lydia will be back; it doesn’t seem like there’d really be much of a purpose for that. and she was kind of bland.

is it just me, or did WHM get some rogaine treatment between seasons? his hair seems much fuller.
