What the hell was Jewel doing here?  At least it made a good razor commercial!

When the show opened with the maid scrubbing out the blood from the foyer, I had to rack my brain trying to remember who had been murdered at the end of last week and how could I have forgotten it so easily? The only reasonable answer was that Ashley was murdered and quickly forgotten because, well, its Ashley.  What?  She’s forgettable!


Being a maid at Grayson Manor must suuuuck

But no! Flashback time! (RIP Ringer! You are missed – by all 3 of us). This whole episode leads up to the cleaning of the blood in the Grayson foyer. At this point who is still attending Grayson parties because there’s a pretty good chance you will end up bleeding.

Jennifer Jason Leigh may have been hypnotized this entire episode

Kara Murphy (formerly Clarke) is apparently a bad ass bitch so do not come knocking on her motel manager’s door pretending to be an American cop or agent or whatever the hell. Aiden made this mistake and got tased, bro. And then tied to a chair. By Kara. What does it mean, you guys? Agent Kara? Married to Whitey? Why did Whitey have a separate key to motel if he was married to the manger/owner? And again how has Kara (and Whitey?) been living right around the corner this whole time?

Amanda, A-damn-duh

This girl had a pretty rough hour. She moved out of Jack’s bar and in with Emily. She was made to blackmail Victoria and then had a baby shower from hell (more on that later). Most everyone can agree she has been a dud for a while now, but you have to admit her Beaver Dam persons and friends knew how to get the party started.

Daniel gets a clue!

Remember those facts and figures that Daniel was processing in the season premiere? We,, he finally came to realize that yes, Pops has been playing fast and loose with the Grayson accounts and yes, Ashley is reporting back to Conrad. Pretty impressed he managed to put all this together own actually. The kid’s not exactly known for his smarts. Do you think the fact that her still got it on with Ashley at the end of the episode, knowing she was working with Conrad means he’s lost his morals? Or just horny?  Oh, and why is Danny boy only drunk sometimes?  I like my drunks fully committed, thank you very much! 

Declan, Let’s Deck-him!

So yes, his license was planted by Trey at the scene of the crime so Mr. Skeevy can somehow blackmail Jack into selling him the bar which…??? Are we supposed to be worried about this? Shoot, sell the place, get a little bit of cash, get a real place to live for the BABY. None of this storyline concerns me, probably because it began when Declan thought it was a good idea to become a CAT BURGLAR. WTF???

    God I like Declan when he was cute love sick boy and criminal stupid Declan pisses me off.

    Love Charlotte more and more.

    That was a rocking baby shower. haha I one time attended a baby shower for a complete stranger. I was newly friends with this girl and she was throwing a shower for her twin sister she just got unestranged with and wanted people to come since she didn’t know a lot of people. So I came and brought a small gift. There were only like 5 people there. It was weird.

    Foggywood, I’m one of the 3 who misses Ringer, but this show and your recaps fill the void nicely. I was getting sick of Amanda and Jack anyway. Fingers crossed Kara puts her out of her misery jk lol. I thought Nolan was gay?? This season isn’t revenge-y enough for me. I miss Em ruining people’s lives one episode at a time.

    Less initiative, more revenging please! Also, I pine for Ringer. I was watching old eps of Buffy this weekend and I missed having SMG on my tv once a week. Still don’t trust Padma. Excited to see Ashley get hers. Finally, wondering if the costume department just noticed that Emily van Camp has breasts and decided to showcase them this season.

    Maybe Emily van Camp’s breasts are new this season. I thought Nolan was gay, too. Perhaps he is bi.

    Last season he said he was about a 3 on the Kinsey scale, so I’m glad they’re staying true to that.

    I miss SMG more than the actual show Ringer, but oh, well. And the check was necessary so Amanda could show Vicky that the way she wrote “Clarke” was a match. (Pay to Amanda Clarke, and Victoria signed the log Charlotte Clarke, so she didn’t need a ‘Victoria Grayson’ sample, which of course she could have gotten easily).

    And I think the whole point of the setup for Jack’s bar is for Jack to have to just give it to the guy, not sell it to him. He owes Skeevy $20,000 and the bar has at least $40,000 worth of mold removal, not to mention repairing the walls and stuff…so the rich stay rich, I guess, by paying $60,000+ less for the bar, and low balling the rest by blackmailing Jack with contacting the police. Why Jack wouldn’t sell the boat again to get some money, I can’t figure out.

    @Lydia – I took the unsigned check as Vicky was going to try to get out of paying the money (which she may not have) – she gave that check up too easily. The girls only wanted it for handwriting samples.

    my bridal shower was mostly my mother-in-law’s friends, so i get the stranger thing (my mother-in-law decided SHE would throw my bridal shower two HOURS away from where i live, so of course hardly any of my friends came — she did it because it was convenient to her), so i get the strangers-at-your-shower thing … and it is AWKWARD. although then you do tend to get better presents to make up for the fact that you’re stuck in a room with people you’ve never met pretending they’re happy for you.

    i have to wonder if kara is going to sabotage the equipment keeping fauxmanda alive — is there really any use left for faux? the baby can be used as a bargaining tool, but what use is fauxmanda anymore, really? she doesn’t even have her own personality.

    i don’t fully get the “initiative,” but even the name bugs me. either get interesting or dissolve, damn it.

    I guess Emily’s mom really did try to kill her. Isn’t that what Victoria told her 2 episodes ago?

    Declan is only tolerable when he is with Charlotte.

    My heart broke for Emily having to see her mom comfort Fauxmanda!!!!!!! I hope she dies.

    I thought the whole handwriting thing made no sense anyway. You can get handwriting samples many many ways. Then just have an expert confirm it.
