Revenge Recap: The X Factor

Revenge

At the Stowaway, Jack’s buddy shows up and raids the joint. They search for drugs but find find none, even in the coffee beans. Instead the search moves to the S.S. Amanda where of course they find the contraband. The police are about to arrest Declan (!!!) when Jack steps in to save his bro, sending himself to jail. Waaa-waaaaaaah. No for real – WAAAAH! Tears of WHY?? are rolling down my face.

Marco spends the episode trying to woo Nolan back, but dude – really? Too late, bro. He’s found another ho.

No Marco, he no longer is interested in your sushi.  Ew…

Emily arrives at the big benefit for the charity and finds Patricia. She confronts the wife with the knowledge that she knows her connection to Palmer and then shows her the letter that got him killed. Patricia confesses that she was the one who wrote the letter. So she pretty much got her buddy killed and has hid the fact all these years. Meanwhile she has stayed married to the scumbag that pulled the strings. Nice one, lady.

C’mon lady – do the right thing!

When she is called to introduce her hubby, she calls her husband out and shows the letter that got him killed. She then pulls off her jacket revealing bruises all over her. Yeesh. And yikes. Judge Barnes quickly exits the event. See ya, scumbag.

Miss Initiative tells Daniel to follow the research Nolan has done and he will find the info on untold treasures? Or something like that? This remains unclear. Technical chatter!!!

Finally Daniel arrives at Emily’s door while Aiden is conveniently in the shower. He asks her to head the philanthropic drive at Grayson Global and she says yes. They seal the deal with a kiss as Victoria and Aiden watch. This was made to be dramatic, but big whoop – right? Aiden’s in on this whole thing, right? He’s a big boy, he can deal.

The judge is X’d – another puzzle piece is found.

Aaaah – closure.  How we’ve missed you…

What did you guys think? Happy to have our show back? Happy to see some quickie Revenge? Can we take another 5 months of this Stowaway nonsense? Give me some feedback on “Power”!

I did like going back to the getting revenge in 45 minutes arc. This was a solid episode minus the dumbness of the Porters but I guess that fits in with their characters at least.

I love sea glass and collect it. I actually have a sea glass necklace, but it is just one piece on the end of a chain and it is more everyday simple piece of jewelry. The sea glass necklace in the show was just wrong. It looked awful.

I don’t care about the bar and all those characters at all. They better wrap it up quickly because it’s almost to the point where it is fast-forward-able. Except I think Nate Ryan is a little extra eye candy. Does anyone watch “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”? Jack was actually great on that show.

Did anyone notice that Victoria either reduced her botox to every other week or she tried new injection sites. Her face is actually showing more than one emotion in an episode.

@April – totally agree about the 45 minute arc. It just works so much better. But with a couple little on going side stories (Aiden and & his sister, etc).

I think the “untold treasures” thing was the piece of stealth software Marco was talking about with Nolan in that scene… maybe? I don’t know, I’m just glad the red pen of REVENGE is back.
