Oh look who got uncuffed from his pole- Nate. He has been following the motley crew.
Miles sneaks up on him and… they rumble.
oh wait…
Which is the Jet and which is the Shark?
Charlie intervenes because she wovvvvves Nate.
He’s with me…
She tells Miles that she saw him near Pontiac. And Nate’s like “I carried a watermelon.”
I mean, “She cuffed me to a pole.”
Miles tells her “He’s a spy!”
Charlie yells back “Don’t you think he might know something about Danny?? Besides what do you care? You are leaving!”
And… they take Nate prisoner.
Flashback to post B.O. Dr, Mom has, apparently walked from Seattle to Buffalo. She is trying to get to the Atlantic ocean. The Dock Dude tells her that she is out of luck, there are no more tall ships or steam boats.
Why do you want to go back to England? The food is so bad there.
Getting to England is about as difficult as getting to the Moon. Dr. Mom is devastated, she wants to get home to her kids.
Back in the NOW, Dr. Mom confronts Miles and says “You are leaving?” Miles tells her, she doesn’t know who he is or what he has done. Dr. Mom is like “I do actually. Charlie told me . You are a murderer right? And one of the great ones? Big Whoop.” Miles is like… I’m no Jack the Ripper, but… I did ok. Dr. Mom says “I know you think she is better off without you, but what makes YOU think you are better off without HER?”
Dr. Mom continues to tell Miles how she tried so hard to get back to her boys. She walked across the country and up and down the eastern seaboard. Finally she gave up. She thinks her boys probably died scared, alone and wanting their Mom.
It’s a nice day to die
One day, she picked a nice spot in Wisconsin and decided to kill herself. Isn’t that redundant? (just kidding- I LOVE Wisconsin. Love me some cheese) She poured herself a nice hot cup of poison and was about to chug-a-lugg when Ben found her.
How YOU doin’?
He obviously recognized the desperation in her eyes because he invited her to join them. She did. Ben took her in, introduced her to his kids, he banged her. Ben and the kids saved her, and she grew to love them. If Miles gave Charlie half a chance she could do the same for Miles.

I am glad someone else feels this way about this show. Wonderful recap. I agree, it would have been a much better twist to kill off Charlie and let Dr. Mom live; Dr. Mom’s story line had potential. Ah well…
Thank you for the Dharma shout out, thought the same thing when I saw Juliet, did I say Juliet, I meant Rachel with the Dharma illustration. Wonder who her constant is in this show? Probably not Miles.
Dr. Mom was my fave character, her an Aaron the only reason why I was still watching this boring crap. She is dead, so I am out.
unfortunately, i think charlie is supposed to be the emotional heart of this story. however, i think she is the least compelling character and one of the weakest actors in the show. i love aaron and miles, and like dr. mom ok. i think this show is beyond silly, but there’s enough interest in the flashbacks for me to stay tuned. and i could watch miles sword fight every episode (at least they’re getting their money’s worth from all those sword fighting lessons!).
