The only way for them to get into Philly, unseen, is by underground tunnel. Nora warns them that they could be boobytrapped. Ok, so we know, somehow Charlie will be caught in one of these traps, right?
Miles and one of the RLs are talking- Miles thanks the one RL for getting the other RL on his side. The way the RL sees it, he either gets Monroe or Miles. It’s a win/win for him.
As Charlie and Nora walk through the tunnel, they are having a little girl talk. Nora tells Charlie that when Miles was in the Militia he tried to assassinate Monroe, but he couldn’t pull the trigger. Suddenly, Nora hears something and yells FREEZE!!!
Freeze Tag! Charlie is IT
Nora realizes that Charlie is standing on a mine. Maybe Miles can have a sword fight with it???
Cut to Rachel, rocking out to some ZeppElin’s “Since I’ve been loving you,” while working in her makeshift laboratory.
So what are we looking at here? A Flux Capacitor?
Neville enters with a Milita Dude, and asks Rachel to explain what she is building. Rachel tells them it is an amplifier. The pendant, she explains, is like a wireless battery and it can give power to devices within a limited range- 8 to 10 feet. So the pendant can be plugged into the booster or amplifier and can power up anything within a half mile radius. Jets, Tanks, etc. Neville wants to know when it can be ready and seems suspicious. Rachel asks “You really mean when can you kill hundreds of people? Soon.” Hmm, something seems a little weird. But hey ,it’s science, I admittedly, am a science (and math) moron.
Back in the subway, Nora clears everyone out, except, of course, Charlie who is told to not move a muscle.
I’m da bomb
But The Misfits won’t leave Charlie, despite her encouraging them to do so.
!!!!!!
Nora tries to deactivate the bomb using a swiss army knife, a banana peel and a paperclip- MacGyver Style. She thinks she has it, but, there COULD be another bomb underneath it. They plan for Charlie to step off the mine and for all of them to RUN LIKE HELL. Solid plan.
Charlie steps off.
They run.
Kaboom!
Mine blows up and destroys the tunnel, but, the Misfits are all okay. Phew. I did NOT see THAT coming.
Yeah, we are probably NOT going to get out that way…
Sometime later, Aaron is walking through the tunnel with a young Rebel Gal, her name is Ashley.
Don’t get too attached, she’ll probably get killed in the next scene
If you like it, spread it!:

This show is becoming too contrived and tedious. I think I’d be better off to just read your recaps and skip actually watching. “Lost” it ain’t.
Still loving your recaps. And the Princess Bride references will never get old! A question for your readers – if the pendant is only good for a few feet, how did it power up the lighthouse? Or am I just really missing something here…
Thanks for the comments. MisRed feels the love!! Aaron was in the lighthouse when it lit up, so I assume the mechanism for lighting it was within the 8 to 10 ft range.
Either that or the writers are morons. Take you pick.
I really don’t know what to think about this show! It started out fun and intriguing, in an easy to watch kind of way. I liked that questions got answered and fun twists introduced, say early on, and not season 5. But now, it’s definitely getting a little too gimicky for me and I find myself not caring if I miss it. I guess while I’m watching it, I’m mildly interested, but nothing keeps me on my toes for the next episode.
My husband made an interesting point during the first episode. He was like, wait– they just skipped over all those years of the most interesting stuff. I.E. what happened immediately after the blackout. I kind of agree. We get tidbits of it, but I think the show could have had a lot more to work with if it didn’t try so hard to jump back and forth between right after and present.
And I want to like Charlie, but is it in her contract that she must cry after every scene of dialogue?!
I enjoy this show. Thanks for the great recap!
The pendant clearly has some kind of range – will they have to carry it in the helicopter? , since the lady on the farm with the computer in her attic used her pendant to power her computer from time to time. The 8-10ft could have been a lie since Rachel was trying to justify her \amplifier\.
