Aaron notes that she’s very young- does she even REMEMBER the United States? She explains that she doesn’t, but that her father had come from Syria, and he loved the United States, so she is fighting in her Dad’s honor. Ashley asks Aaron why he is fighting for the United States. Aaron says he didn’t realize he WAS.
Suddenly Miles sees something up ahead. SOMEONE to be exact- a Militia Scout, he sees them run into a little side room. He draws his sword and runs to the door of the side room. He opens it and the room is empty.
Nobody is home
He is in disbelief. He KNOWS he saw someone go into that room. Guess you dudes shouldn’t have killed those Ghost Hunter dudes in Episode 4!
Shouldn’t have off’d these guys
Later, the group descends into some waist-deep water, with Miles leading the way. At the back of the pack, Nora feels something in the water. She is pulled under the water. She is screaming that an alligator bit her leg.
I could make a nice bomb out of that ‘gator skull
Aaron realizes that Nora (and Miles previously) were hallucinating.
You guys have got to STOP eating the funny paper!!
They are running out of air. And hallucinating, Aaron explains, is the LAST thing that happens before death. The explosion must have sealed off incoming air and their torches are eating up the oxygen fast. They need to hurry to the exit.
Later still, Aaron sees something. Nora is very worried about him. They walk up the stairs leading to the exit Miles has identified…and it’s sealed up with, apparently, belgian block.
hmmm, and I find turnstyles confusing…
They need to find another exit, but Miles doesn’t know of an alternative, and he is light-headed. Charlie takes his torch and urges him to continue.
Up ahead, Miles sees a door, it is slightly ajar. He walks through it and he’s in Monroe’s office. Zeppelin’s Kashmir is playing, which leads me to believe, all is not as it seems. He’s hallucinating. Monroe enters the room. Miles and Monroe are finally face to face. They embrace.
Miles’s Trip
Miles asks “Am I hallucinating?”
Monroe replies “Oh yeah! You look like hell! And not just because you are suffocating.” He pours them a drink.
Miles says “Things haven’t been easy.”
Monroe replies “You look tired.”
Miles says “I am tired.”
Monroe asks Miles if it was worth it to leave the Militia. Was trying to kill Monroe worth it? Monroe wants to know why Miles tried to kill him? Miles tells him he went too far. There was too much blood. Monroe tells Miles he knows there is a part of him that wants to be back in the Militia. Back in charge. Monroe thinks if he offered Miles the chance to come back, Miles would take him up on it in a hot minute. Miles would fall right back in line. Monroe thinks Miles is scared.
If you like it, spread it!:

This show is becoming too contrived and tedious. I think I’d be better off to just read your recaps and skip actually watching. “Lost” it ain’t.
Still loving your recaps. And the Princess Bride references will never get old! A question for your readers – if the pendant is only good for a few feet, how did it power up the lighthouse? Or am I just really missing something here…
Thanks for the comments. MisRed feels the love!! Aaron was in the lighthouse when it lit up, so I assume the mechanism for lighting it was within the 8 to 10 ft range.
Either that or the writers are morons. Take you pick.
I really don’t know what to think about this show! It started out fun and intriguing, in an easy to watch kind of way. I liked that questions got answered and fun twists introduced, say early on, and not season 5. But now, it’s definitely getting a little too gimicky for me and I find myself not caring if I miss it. I guess while I’m watching it, I’m mildly interested, but nothing keeps me on my toes for the next episode.
My husband made an interesting point during the first episode. He was like, wait– they just skipped over all those years of the most interesting stuff. I.E. what happened immediately after the blackout. I kind of agree. We get tidbits of it, but I think the show could have had a lot more to work with if it didn’t try so hard to jump back and forth between right after and present.
And I want to like Charlie, but is it in her contract that she must cry after every scene of dialogue?!
I enjoy this show. Thanks for the great recap!
The pendant clearly has some kind of range – will they have to carry it in the helicopter? , since the lady on the farm with the computer in her attic used her pendant to power her computer from time to time. The 8-10ft could have been a lie since Rachel was trying to justify her \amplifier\.
