Revolution Episode Recap: Welcome to Soul Train with Don Cornelius

Miles offers Neville a trade. “Danny, for one of your guys.”
Neville is surprised “You’ve got one of my guys? Keep him, I need Danny more than him. But while I have you here, let me ask you why did you leave?” (the militia)
Miles responds “You wouldn’t understand.”

Aaron is guarding Nate- which is pretty funny.

Whoopsie

Being a klutz, Aaron knocks over a bench. On top of the bench was “The Amulet.” Nate grabs it. Aaron tells him to give it back. Nate notes that it’s ugly. Aaron tells Nate that it belonged to his wife. Nate returns it. Aaron hears a noise and jumps, but it’s just Nora returning with Hutch. No word on Starsky.

Nora tells Aaron “Warn Miles, I’m putting a bomb on that train.”
Aaron asks “What about Danny?”
Nora tells him “This is more important.” Miles is just going to have to get Danny before the train leaves.

Miles is yelling at Charlie “You are in over your head! Surprise was the only thing we had and you pissed that away! If we don’t get Danny you have no one to blame but yourself.”

Are you pondering what I’m pondering?     I think so, Brain, but how will we get a pair of Abe Vigoda’s pants?

Charlie whines “You were never like this!”
Miles asks “How do you know?” Charlie tells him she remembers him. When she was 4 years old, Miles took her for a ride in his car and they were listening to music and laughing. Charlie wants to know what happened to that guy? Miles tells Charlie, “He’s dead.”

Neville and the gang are getting their “stuff” together for their big train trip. Flashback to Neville, 6 weeks after the BO. Julia tells Neville that they have to leave. Neville indicates that it’s very dangerous with the looters. They hear a noise and Neville goes downstairs to investigate. He finds Rob, his neighbor, robbing his house.

Here is the whole scene in 4 pictures

When Neville tries to stop him, Rob starts to beat the living crap out of him. Jason and Julia come downstairs and witness as Neville gets the upper-hand and proceeds to beat the life out of Rob…literally. What happened to “Only hit the bag, never people?”

Up to this point, we’ve only seen how much “worse off” people are post BO. Well, except Monroe, maybe. But here is Tom Neville, lily-livered slave to da man pre-BO…but post-BO he has blossomed into a full-blown badass. People fear him. People respect him. People listen to him. He feeds on power… and does not want that power to go away.

Charlie tells Miles they have to stop Nora. Miles tells her they can’t because they have to find Danny. (Screw Danny, I say.)
Charlie begs “Nate,” “If you know where Danny is, you HAVE to tell me. I’m begging.” (See this would have been WAY better if they were cousins.)
Nate tells Charlie, “I’m sorry, I can’t help you.”
Charlie replies “Then I can’t help you either.”

Somebody blow up Charlie! She’s the biggest albatross that group of rebels has. I’m about to give up on watching this show, but I’ll still keep reading your recaps, MisRed.

OMG, your recaps are one million times better than the actual show! I keep watching it… and I keep hoping it’s going to get better… BUT…

I had high hopes for this show, thinking that in addition to the soapy drama, you’d get some of the interesting aspects of being without power for 15 years (or however long it’s been, duh, I already forgot). Not so much!

Thanks for the recaps, though, they’re fantastic!

    Thanks for the recaps!

I must be in the minority but I do enjoy this show!

@Rachel (3) – I’m in the minority with you. I don’t mind cheesy, as long as it’s entertaining. (I grew up watching Batman on TV – KaPow)

Thank you guys, so much, for reading. :) I am not sure I would be watching this show if I wasn’t recapping it. Maybe. Probably. If one of the Real Housewives was playing a character, for sure! While I think some of the characters are dim and it’s a little predictable- I am enjoying it. There are worse ways to spend an hour. Well, 6 hours. I have to watch it, watch it again to get pictures, write the recap, resize the pix to fit and then post. :)

And trust me, my husband is THRILLED that I’m watching something that has a script.
