Revolution Recap: Ties the Bind…and Gag

Flashback to 2 months post Blackout- Little Nora and her sister, Little Mia, are hiding under a bed, cowering.   A man comes in and begins to ransack the room, but doesn’t find the girls hiding.  After the man leaves, Little Nora creeps out of her room and looks for their mother. She is dead.

Back to the horrible present, as opposed to their horrible past, Nora’s sister is strung up like a reverse hunk of halal beef.  Strausser is calling to Nora that her sister will die within an hour, but it will be painful, unless Nora give him two things.  The Amulet and Miles.  See, Miles is wanted for some pesky crimes against the Monroe Republic.

Aaron has shit a brick!  They know about the necklace.  Well, jeez, you told enough people?!?!  Aaron concludes Nate/Jason must have spilled the beans, as he saw Aaron with the Amulet, and even had it in his hot little hands, until Aaron used the Jedi Mind Trick and got it back from him.  Miles tells them that Strausser LIVES for this kind of stuff, and demands Aaron give him the Amulet.  Aaron politely declines, but Miles insists.  So one “Gimme it” and Aaron forks it over.  Jeez.  That was easy.  Miles engages in a full out samurai sword fight with the Amulet, but finds it to be indestructible.  Kind of like Trumps comb-over.

In Philly, Neville comes into a room where Nate/Jason, his son, is being beaten, on Monroe’s orders.  Neville demands an explanation, “What did he do?”

Jason, the petulant teen replies, “What do you care?!?!”  

Yeah.  Jeez, Dad, MYOB!!

Monroe and Faber, one of his Monroe’s high-ranking Henchmen, are talking when Neville enters the room.  

Faber.  Blink and you’ll miss him

Monroe tells Faber he hears reports of a Lighthouse being illuminated for 4 or 5 seconds.  (If you missed last week’s episode, Aaron totally butt-dialed the Amulet and turned on a Lighthouse.)  Neville interrupts… sheesh Neville, people have been killed for less, and wants to know why Nate/Jason is being punished.  Monroe informs Neville that his spawn tried to bribe a stable-hand to find out Strausser’s whereabouts.  Monroe wants to know WHY he would want that information.  Neville confesses Nate/Jason has a weakness for “the Matheson girl.”  Neville is informed Faber has put Nate/Jason on a mission to California, which is, essentially, a death sentence.  Apparently, he’s being sent to the Hotel California.  Neville protests, but Monroe tells him Nate/Jason can either go to California or be executed for treason.  Cali it is!!!

Nora has a plan that involves blowing up some shit.

So, she does and as EVERY Militia dude goes to investigate the blast, the Misfits run in and capture Mia.  Well, that was easy.
