The whole thing is actually really sweet and sad. Joanna interviews that last year she put very little effort and focus into her love life and her relationship really suffered. She confronts Romain about the e-trayal, and he, showing a goodly amount of character admits to it and apologizes without bringing up any her crazy/absent behavior. That’s called taking full responsibility, Gentlemen (not that any of you are reading), and we like that in a man. He says he feels tremendously guilty and knows he has to earn Joanna’s trust back. They both agree to make more of an effort, and while they didn’t tearfully make out, the whole thing ends on a hopeful note.
And thank goodness, because this episode sure didn’t start on one. Next week: the Adriana slap heard round the world…
