At the police station, Juice is walked into Eli’s office, where Eli warns him that Jax figured out who the rat is and suggests that Juice leave town.
Should I make a run for the border?
Eli apologizes and asks if there’s anything he can do; Juice tells him he’ll handle it on his own and walks out.
At church, Jax is at the head of the table, helping Chibs process the new information about the RICO sting and Jax’s machinations to get the club extricated. Chibs tells Jax that he knew the information Roosevelt had on Juice, but didn’t act on it because he didn’t think Juice would turn on the club. Chibs tells Jax and Bobby that Juice’s dad is black, but that Juice didn’t know who his dad was until Roosevelt showed him proof. Jax suggests that they change a few bylaws, and Chibs is more than okay with that, especially considering the mother of his child looks like this:
Giving a whole new meaning to “Black Irish”.
Aye, and who’s going to clear this with the Ole Miss SoA Chapter?
Bobby wants to bring the Juice matter to the table ASAP, but Jax disagrees, saying admitting a rat within their own ranks is the last thing the club needs with their internal and external alliances so shaky. Bobby acquiesces, and Chibs, ever the heart of the club, wants to know what will happen to poor Juicy once the dust settles. Jax says he’ll bring it to the table and let Juice “hang himself”.
I meant that figuratively, since Juice tried it literally a few months ago and it didn’t go too well.
The next morning, Tara wakes Jax in bed with a kiss and lets him know she’s headed into Stockton again, and if she gets to see Otto, she’s pretty sure she can get him to recant today. She lets Jax know that she’ll be dropping Thomas off at daycare, and that Juice is playing with the boys in the living room, waiting to talk to Jax.
I better get out of bed before Juice gets any rat cooties on my kids!
In the kitchen, Juicy drops all pretense and tells Jax he knows that Jax knows about his betrayal. He tells Jax he can’t leave town because he has nowhere to go, and no friends nor family to take him in. Jax just sits there, like some WASP-ish, NorCal version of Mario Puzo’s godfather character,
Someday, and that day will definitely come, I will call upon you to do a service for me.
Juice tells Jax that Frankie told him, just before he died, that the Nomads were working for Clay and stole a safe with legal documents from Clay’s and Gemma’s house, which documents they gave to Clay. I was waiting for this tidbit to get back to Jax …
