Sons of Anarchy Recap: Boxes, Bullets, Bites and Blackmail

Chibs tells them to pipe down about the small shit that doesn’t matter and to focus on the “end game”:  getting through this meet and extricating themselves from the relationship with the cartel sooner rather than later.

Just Say No to Drugs Drug Running

The Nomads are upset to lose such a huge income for the club, but Jax, Chibs and Tig have done the math:  $100,000 a run from the cartel in exchange for continuous SAMCRO death and destruction is not a symbiotic relationship.

I’m starting to regret voting you guys into my little club.

Clay, who brought his oxygen to play to the crowd, brings up that he’s still worried about “Black” and Jax assures him that once Pope is back in town, they’ll have a sit-down to make sure his Oakland guys aren’t the ones breaking into Charming homes.  Jax goes on to share his new plan to set up Diosa Norte with Nero, which will offer an alternative to guns and drugs as their only income sources.  Jax says that although right now he’s funding the start up costs personally, he’d like to make it a club business when it’s up and running, if the guys vote down the road to buy in.  Clay pushes for a vote right now, trying to gauge Jax’s power to convince the rest of the table.

Oh, the ayes have it?  I guess that answers that.  My plans for a coup are pretty fucked.

After the rest of the guys leave, Clay and Jax agree that it’s wrong to buy into Diosa if Nero and Gemma are cuckolding Clay.  Jax assures Clay that the relationship is over.  I’m positive that Jax’s assurance is enough for Clay.

Jax says it’s good for the club, so there’s no need for me to carry out any revenge at all.  Wait, I better not forget to bring this oxygen tank that I desperately need with me.

So SAMCRO is now the proud half-owner-to-be of a “legit” escort business.  I’m sure this is all going to work out fine.

Outside, Gemma approaches Jax while he’s getting on his bike and tells him she hasn’t been able to get in touch with Nero despite several attempts to do so.  Jax tells her to stay away from Nero, especially now that he’s in a business relationship with Nero, and Gemma doesn’t take it too well.

Did my son just tell me who I can and can’t fuck?  Momma needs a new skateboard.

At a follow-up appointment with her own doctor at St. Thomas, Tara finds out that the swelling around her median nerve has diminished quite a bit, and she might even be able to operate again.

Hmmmmm … I’d probably be operating on kids right now if I had beat that bitch with a bat instead of my cast.  Ooopsie!

    O M G!

“Nero sends them Venus Van Dam, a transgender escort played by Justified‘s Walton Goggins, who worked with SOA creator Kurt Sutter on The Shield (where Goggins’ character, Shane Vendrell, used the alias Cletus Van Damme). ”

That was about the awseomenest ‘guest’ visit I have ever seen. We simply could not stop laughing. And poor horndog Tig. Just when things start getting a bit too dark and turgid, they whip out a character like Venus Van Dam.

And what is up with Clay? Is he behind the home invasions? Is all his weird behavior to try to regain control of SAMCRO? Still, he and Gemma may get back together if the thing with Nero or the thing with chicks doesn’t work out for her. Sadly, she’s starting to act as though she enjoys a little pre-coital beatdown.

OMG! Walter Goggins was AWESOME! I think Clay is behind the home invasions. I think he is doing everything in his power to make Jax look bad. That’s why he pushed to vote so soon on the escort thing too.

Venus Van Damme made my entire week. Here is a great article with the great Walton Goggins about his cameo: http://tv.yahoo.com/news/sons-anarchy-justifieds-walton-goggins-jaw-dropping-cameo-030000662.html

I loved the Sheild, I love Justified and my jaw dropped when I realized who was playing Venus. Amazing…and some much-needed levity.

Ugh, the Nero storyline is killing me! This week, I think he’s on the same side as the Sons. When he told Gemma about his plan for his kid, I was convinced. I am sure next week, I will think he’s undercover or something like that.

You would think a cop’s wife would be able to fire a gun better…

Observation: When Tara beat Carla’s ass, I swear I thought she used her cast hand.

OMG! The box! I was convinced there was a bomb in it.

She used both hands – amazing ahe didn’t re-break everything. Was it just me or did she seem disappointed to have the air cast? Guess it’s tough to do a serious beatdown on someone with a hand encased in, essentially, bubble wrap as opposed to plaster.
