Back at Teller-Morrow, Jax walks out to see that Tara has just driven up with the boys.  Bobby tells Jax he should keep his plans for the cabin getaway, at least until the heat dies down.  Tara walks up and tells Jax that their child care plans fell through, and he convinces her to let Gemma stay with the boys at their house.  She’s not too keen on the idea.

But there’s only room for one shitty mother figure in their lives, and that’s me!

He asks Tara to call Gemma at Wayne’s and tells her he’s got a few things left to take care of before they can go to the cabin.  Tara suggests she goes up ahead of him and gets things cleaned up and dinner ready while he finishes up in Charming.  Jax consents, but only if she takes Tig with her for protection.  He calls Chibs over and says he needs Chibs with him because they have to go check on a “sick friend”.

Tara calls Gemma and tells her she’s trusting Gemma to be safe with the boys.

Safety is my middle nate, I mean same, I mean name!  Safety!  That’s me!

At the scumbag hotel, McFail has picked up another lady silly enough to fall for his charm and Talk Soup references.  Nero and his crew put a stop to this date

I hadn’t even mentioned my imdb bio yet!

and Nero beats McFail pretty severely (even bringing in the WWF interlaced fingers double-hammer punch to his back).  Thank goodness, now they’re even.

Back at Clay’s/Lowell’s, Juicy confronts Clay about his involvement with the Nomads’ break-ins and Wayne’s attempted murder.

Walk a little straighter, Daddy.  You’re still leading me.

Jax and Chibs show up and Jax asks Juice and Chibs to leave while he chats with Clay.  Jax lets him know that this isn’t a friendly visit and the tension rises in the scene as the camera men show us, through creative angles, that there are loaded guns within reach of both men, if either decides to make this an even shorter discussion.

I see your Schwartz is as big as mine.

Clay blames Pope for the invasions and the Nomads’ crimes, and Jax suggests they find Frankie and find out the truth.  Clay’s on board with that idea.

Gemma picks up the kids from CFP at the clubhouse and buckles them up in the back of her recently-reclaimed Escalade.  She doesn’t seem too steady on her feet, but I didn’t see her drink or smoke anything so I’m not too sure.

CFP looks like he’s about to call CPS, though.  Looks like Thomas wants to hand him the phone.

    I love your recaps….always look forward to them. As far as Gemma, speculation is thatthe cigarette she passed back and forth with Unser was weed. tow . We have seen him smoke before, it helps with the pain from the cancer. She was thrilled when Tara called her and never would have admitted it to her. I would think that this is going to put quite the damper on the Gemmma/Tara relationship though!!

    I’m starting to think Abel will be better off with his ex meth head mother. Under SAMCROs watch he’s been kidnapped at knife point, sold and now he has a tree branch sticking out of his chest.
    At first I thought Gemma was having problems with her heart but my husband said he thought she was drunk and high. I hope Abel pulls through.

    I love Joel McHale but this was a terrible story arc for him. He looked like such a nerd! Poor babies, hope Abel is ok!

    You knew Abel was in trouble when they did the zoom in on his stuffed frog…damn you Sutter!

    Gemma is a hot mess this year.

    I’m still waiting for them to address how she met Nero, she has no recollection of meeting him at all. I think she might be on pills and they are causing her to black out at times… just a guess.
