Jax asks her to check in Lyla, since she found out about Opie’s death that morning, and after Jax says, “I love you” to Tara, she responds, “I love you, Jackson.”
You know I mean it ’cause I said your whole name!
Credits. At the table (Can I buy a replica of this table for my dining room? Nothing says love like meatloaf and mashed potatoes over a carved skull!), Jax tells everyone that Opie had been looking for a way out since Donna died …
Hi! When Tig dies, Opie and I will take turns kicking him in the balls … for eternity.
@mjhhawk and many others pointed out that Opie’s demise was inevitable after Donna was killed, and that he never got over the guilt from being indirectly responsible for her death, but I was still hoping that Lyla and/or the kids would eventually break him out of his depression. As the Sons discuss Opie’s brutal murder, Clay — ever the practical one — brings up Pope’s role in the whole situation and that he’s worried about it. Before Clay can even start to throw Jax and his leadership skills under the bus, Tig jumps in to Jax’s defense, saying he did everything he could to save Opie.
Plus, he saved me from a life of daily prison ass-rape, so there’s that.
Jax uses this momentum, and V.P. Bobby’s verbal support of how dangerous Pope is,
Bobby’s verbal support is a tad better than this VP’s verbal support.
Side note: The Nomads object — A LOT. Jax tells the guys that he’ll set up a meet with Pope to discuss the payoffs and the home invasions.
After he bangs the gavel, the guys head outside to set up for Opie’s wake. Unser walks up and lets Jax know that Gemma was arrested last night during the raid on Diosa. Chibs and Jax decide to head over to check on her, after Tig says everyone else will set up for Opie’s wake.
Back at Diosa, Carla, Nero and Gemma walk into a mess that the police left after the raid. The place looks like a hotel room that Charlie Sheen and Russell Crowe had a fight in.
What are the certificates on the wall for? Can you get a B.S. in Prostitution from Escort University?
The cherry on top of this tableau is the eviction notice Nero found from his landlord on the desk counter. Guess he’s had better days.
Charming General St. Thomas, Wendy comes out of the chapel and practically runs over Thomas, Abel and his new mommy.
Why is that lady staring at me, Mommy? Does she want to eat me?
