Hey Gasmi. Are you ready to talk Survivor? Before we get to this week’s show, I thought it might make sense to briefly touch on LAST week’s show and some of the stuff that we went down. So here goes…..
Merge time! That’s right, the tribes merged and as everyone gathered up as much as they could (they were all going to a NEW beach), Malcolm took a couple of minutes for himself to ensure he dug up his hidden immunity idol to bring along.
Here’s to us! Can’t wait to start stabbing y’all in the back!
After the feast, a bunch of them worked on setting up their new camp while Mommy Lisa decided she should lay out everyone’s clothes so that they were dry and toasty warm. Rut roh. Malcolm wasn’t thrilled to find out that Lisa found his hidden treasure.
“Apparently estrogen kicked in and we had to get our freakin’ clothes hung.”
Poor baby. Luckily it’s Lisa and she’s nice and sweet (or appears to be) so Malcolm’s not super worried about her keeping her mouth shut.
At the immunity challenge, Jeff reminds them that they’re now playing for individual immunity. This time around there’s one necklace for guys and another for the ladies. Denise wins it for the ladies and it comes down to Carter and Jeff for the guys, with Carter pulling out the win after it becomes obvious he’s not going to drop for anything.
There’s talk of different people combining to get others out and though Penner thinks he’s got a good alliance going, it looks like they might be voting for him to flush out his idol that they all assume (correctly) that he has.
He plays the idol at tribal and it’s a good thing because otherwise there would have been enough votes to send his ass home. Instead it’s Juggs who gets axed and now poor itchy has lost the last of his eye candy.
And that’s what happened in a nutshell.
On to this week’s episode and holy crap what an episode it was! This show may have contained the best tribal council ever; it’s the best tribal council that I can remember. And the lead up to it involved more panic and chaos than I think we’ve seen in a very long time. It was DELICIOUS.
But before we get there, we’ve got a ways to go. We start out the evening as the tribe returns from tribal and Penner is not happy to have discovered that the alliance he thought he had was a sham. Jeff and Carter try to sell some story about not having the votes to keep Penner safe (which he calls bullshit on) and only Denise is actually honest enough to tell him that yes, she did vote for him.
It’s not personal, it’s just business
