Jeff next wonders what Skupin owes Malcolm for the whole reward thing with his kid. Favors for life.
Lisa doesn’t know that any favors have been exchanged that would be worth a million dollars.
Malcolm reminds everyone that Denise is just as big of a threat as he is AND she hasn’t made as many enemies along the way. PLUS she’s been to every single tribal council and survived. He also reminds Skupin and Lisa about the deals they made in the past and says he hopes they’ll honor them.
Jeff asks Lisa if there’s a reason why she should take Malcolm to the end. **crickets** After a loooong pause she says there is not enough reason for her to take him to the end. Rut roh.
Time to vote. Denise votes for Malcolm and basically says he did this to himself by not giving her an answer. Malcolm votes for Denise and he knows he’s in trouble, breaking down a little as he puts his vote into the urn. The two votes that matter aren’t shown until Jeff gets back and then…..
As he gets up to get his torch snuffed Malcolm utters a “Congratulations, Denise” while some of the jury members nod in agreement. I guess we know who he’s voting for.
I’m bummed that he got voted out because he really played a fantastic game, but I get why they voted him out. Honestly, I feel like it’s six of one half a dozen of the other since Denise played a pretty fantastic game in her own right.
Back at camp after tribal the final three are sad about voting Malcolm out. Well, they say they’re sad, but we all know that’s not true. Skupin is annoyed that Malcolm congratulated Denise when he was leaving since that implies that he thinks Denise will win the game. He tells us he’s gonna have a lot to say about that. SPOLIER ALERT: He’s full of shit.
It’s time for the traditional final three breakfast basket. Everyone talks about their journey….blah, blah, imsoboredcakes.
Let’s just skip to the final tribal council, okay?
Jeff welcomes them and gives his annual speech about the power now being in the jury’s hands. And then we get into the opening statements.
Denise is the first to go and while I can appreciate the fact that she says she is NOT going to apologize to any of them which I love because that is always one thing that annoys the shit out of me. She loses me when she tells them all how she outwitted, outlasted, and outplayed them.
Lisa’s opening statement just really confirms that she didn’t do a whole hell of a lot except be wishy washy early on. Then her brother came and lent her his balls.
