I can’t believe we’re almost at the end of this season, Gasmi. It seems like only yesterday that there were three tribes, Russell was trying (and failing) to pull himself out of the water and Scabby was being a bitch.
That WAS yesterday, stupido!!
Yes, I know. It’s called sarcasm, Scabby!
Just trying to be honest over here!
Anyway…..we’re now down to the final six and after this episode we’ve only got two episodes to go! So let’s get to it, shall we?
We start out where we always do; with the return to camp post vote. Scabby tells us that it’s clear to her that Lisa, Denise, Skupin, and Malcolm have a four person alliance going on. You can’t get anything past her!!
She asks Carter how he feels being one of the two outside that alliance, but he doesn’t take the bait, merely saying she should have nothing to worry about if she does indeed have the hidden immunity idol.
Oh, I have it! I do. For real. I definitely have it.
She’s is planning on continuing to bluff about having the fourth idol because, really, what else is she going to do at this point?
Meanwhile, Malcolm, Lisa, Skupin, and Denise are having a fireside pow wow. Lisa is crying and emotionally battered as usual, and I’m just sick of seeing her cry all the time. I’m seriously considering hot saucing myself at this point because I think bad thoughts every time she starts the waterworks.
Denise tells Lisa that she’s proud of her for not changing her vote which seems a little condescending. I’m not sure she meant to be, but to me it was a little like a mom patting her kid on the head for being a good girl.
Lisa knows that going to the end with Malcolm and Denise is not really the smartest thing to do from a strategy perspective, but, she tells us, betraying that trust opposes who she is. Blabbity blah, I wanna keep my wordcakes. Been here for 24 other season, heard that.
I have integrity, dammit! (sorry god)
The next day arrives and we jump right to the reward challenge; no time for tree mail today. Jeff surprises them with the news that they’ll be teaming up with their loved ones for this reward. Ah, yes! The family visit episode has arrived!
The family visits are always a fun episode for me. I’m endlessly fascinated (and love to make fun of) how over the top emotional everyone gets. I mean, there’s usually not a dry eye in the house! Even the big brave guys end up all teary eyed. And even though I DO like to make fun of them, I think I also know that I’d be a blubbering mess if it were me out there. Shit, I talk to and see my sister almost every freaking day! I think I’d miss her a little if I didn’t see (or talk) to her in thirty days!
Although I don’t think I’d look quite so orgasmic about it!
