Malcolm’s brother is here for the visit, and he is a bonehead. He can barely get through a sentence and almost knocks his brother over when e runs out. He tries to say something about Malcolm (or possible Jeff) looking like a colonel or something. I dunno, I can’t decipher idiot.
So, now that we’ve met everyone, let’s get down to the challenge. Each survivor will toss a muddy bag to their loved one. Said loved one will try to catch said muddy ball and throw it at a stick standing up on a pedestal (there are five of these targets). First team to knock down all five targets wins reward.
Wanna know what you’re playing for?
DUH…..it’s more time with their loved one! This season that time involves taking their loved one back to camp and having a Survivor style sleep over.
Are they ready??? Let’s get it going! The muddy bags begin flying and Malcolm’s brother is the first one to connect with one of their targets. Denise’s hubby also knocks down a target, followed by Carter’s mom. Carter’s mom is a tiny little badass!
Skupin gets one, then Miles again. Justice (Lisa) and Vera (Scabby) have yet to hit anything. Of course, Scabby can’t even throw the bag far enough to get to her mom, so I’m not blaming Vera on that one. Besides, Scabby sucks, we all know that!
No wonder they all hate you. Can adopt another kid, Jeff?
Justice comes out of nowhere and blasts three of the targets in a row while the others are still progressing. Now Miles, Skupin, and Bianca are tied at four each. Miles gets the fifth before anyone else, winning the challenge for team Malcolm.
Now we all know this wouldn’t be a reward challenge (especially a family one) without Jeff telling Malcolm to choose someone else to share in his good fortune. This part always sucks because you know some of the people are going to be upset that you didn’t choose them.
Normally I’d say she’ll be pissed, but I think she knows there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of Malcolm picking her!
Malcolm does the smart thing here and picks Lisa. It makes sense from a strategy perspective; he’s way too tight to pick Denise, plus Lisa’s a freaking basket case, so I think I’d have done the same thing. She’s thrilled of course, and Skupin tells him to ask Jeff for another.
Ask and ye shall receive. Jeff grants him one more, and Malcolm apologizes to the others and picks Skupin. I’m sure Denise is disappointed, but I’m thinking she’s smart ad level headed enough to know that it was a good strategic move. In fact, Malcolm tells us it’s his way of rewarding Skupin and Lisa for sticking with their alliance.
