He takes some time to talk to god, saying whatever his will be. He says it’s really hard to see a clear path going forward, and if they decide to make a bold move they could totally use this opportunity to get rid of him. He just doesn’t know if it’s god’s plan for him to be here.
Later as Angie and Malcolm sit and talk on the beach, she reminds him that she never gave up during the challenge. Malcolm doesn’t laugh in her face and instead tells us it’s a toss-up between the two of them for different reasons. Russell is better in most competitions whereas as Angie’s has big boobs.
But don’t you worry about Angie; she’s got a plan for pleading her case at Tribal. She’s going to tell Malcolm and Denise that she’s here for them and she wants to win. You know, it’s her number one goal.
Meanwhile Russell is deep in thought about his ancestors and all they had to overcome. He thinks that if he were to give up it would be like spitting in the face of all of those that endured so much more than he will ever endure in his life and definitely in this damn game. You know, I know I can’t possibly relate to what it’s like to be black in America, but did anyone else find his comparison of the struggles of slavery to the struggles in Survivor to be really strange and a little off putting?
Time for tribal.
No Jeff, they did not. He establishes that no one is happy to be back at Tribal once again and Denise talks about all the sacrifices she has made both personally and professionally to be there. She is NOT willing to just give up and roll over.
Malcolm is STILL whining about his tribe and how pathetic they are and how much it sucks that he should be stuck with them of all people. I do like that he lays some of the blame on himself and Denise saying what I did before; they didn’t HAVE TO let Russell go again. He thinks they should have taken over and done it themselves since they were obviously the stronger players for that particular challenge.
Jeff asks Angie if she’s worried about being voted out tonight. DUH. But, she wants to point out that even though she may have been slow, she certainly didn’t give up the way some people name Russell did. Russell says he did not give up.
