Now Lindsay is dancing again (so soon?) and she is paired with Alex in another routine choreographed by Sonya. It’s supposed to be hot and heavy on the sexual tension. But in a chilled out mood. Whatever that means.
Fail on the sexual tension. Dancewise it was good, but they had zero chemistry. I love Alex so at least the dance had that going for it.
Nigel agrees with me about their lack of sexual tension and still manages to gross me out.
Mary agrees with Nigel and tells them that it was really great dancing but with zero chemistry. That would have pushed them that next level up. Jesse thinks that Lindsay is ding dong adorable, but he still agrees that the chemistry was off. But gold stars on the technique. A+++.
UGH. Will has been paired with Spawn of Satan, Lauren. Blech. I hate that they bring her back for hip hop. Can’t they call Sara? Shit, I’d even rather have Comfort and I’m not a fan of hers at all!! Luther only gets one chance for his choreography, so this time around we’re getting a Christopher Scott routine. They tell us that the piece is about Will dancing away his pain and Lauren is a part of his mind. Or something like that.
He’s a bit dramatic in the face department at times, but overall I think Will did a really good job here. He’s well suited for the smooth type of hip hop that Chris Scott does so well. Plus he didn’t have to taint himself by touching the devil’s daughter, so he really lucked out there.
Mary thinks it was intriguing and had great musicality; she loved the feel of it. Jesse says that this is the same way he breaks in his living room furniture. He tells Will he is ADORABLE, sometimes too adorable, but he really toned it down here. He also really enjoyed Will’s junket.
Nigel thinks it was tough because he was never dancing WITH his partner because of the premise. I’d think not having to touch her would make life easier. Of course Nigel has to be a perv and invite Lauren to pop up later and dance with him. Vomit.
We move on now to Witney’s solo. As we all already know, she’s also from Utah. She has two brothers and a little sister. And a HUGE extended family. She has danced since she was a little bitty thing and her dad talks about how he’s not so into the sexy side of his little girl. Can’t blame him there.
