Huh. That was actually much better than I thought it would be. There was a little heat going on there.
Care to tango?
Yes, yes I do.
The judges give them a standing ovation and Cat says you could have heard a pin drop during that routine. Mary says it was her favorite performance of the night and tells Chehon he is on the hot tamale train. Well, Jesse has got one better. He puts Chehon on the hot jalapeno bus.
This is why I love him even though he knows fuckall about dance.
Nigel thinks they did a great job and they mailed the chemistry that everyone else seemed to be missing.
The final solo of the night is Cyrus (so I guess that theory about the last guy and girl dancing is now out). His parents were separated when he was little so he could only see his dad on visits. Cyrus loved those visits and loved his dad.
Do they look alike or what???
His dad died when he was ten but thankfully his mom was there for him. She sounds like a pretty terrific mom and it’s obvious that he adores her.
His solo is just as amazing as we expect it to be. He really is incredible in his own style. Love it. I still would like him to go home.
And just like that we are down to the last partnered dance of the evening. Wow. That actually went by really fast tonight, didn’t it? Anyway, this time around it’s Tiffany and she’s been partnered with Ade for a Mandy Moore contemporary piece.
They’re dancing to a Celine song which means I should automatically hate it, but it’s Mandy, so all hope is not lost.
There are some CRAZY lifts going on in this dance. Tiffany is really fantastic in this number as is Ade. It’s a really great way to end the performance part of the show.
This performance gets a standing ovation from the judges and she is all choked up and crying before they even start talking to her. It’s adorable.
Jesse thinks it’s bananas how great everyone has been this time around and he is ready to leave or drink because he doesn’t know how they’re getting rid of anyone.
I need whatever crack Murphy is on!!
Mary loves it and tells Tiffany that she is extraordinary and it was the best dance she’s done all season. Nigel says he knew this partnership was going to be great and they did not let him down. He also loves that even though she is a beautiful technician and performer, she is so humble. She just gets on with the work and gets it done. He thinks she is a real credit to the program.
