Adam thinks the piece was extraordinary but says that it left him cold. He’s not able to understand what was missing; he thinks it has to do with their connection, both with each other and with the audience.
Mary says she’s not really sure what to say here, but warns the audience not to try this at home. She agrees with Adam about the disconnect, but says that their technique and ability is amazing. Nigel agrees as well.
I’m so upset right now.
We can tell.
Time for Tiffany and George. They’ve also got Tony and Melanie, this time for a foxtrot.
LOVE this SOOOOOO much! This is another example of how they’ve built on last week’s performance. They were spectacular in this; effortless, gorgeous, I couldn’t take my eyes off them. Did I mention that I love these two???
Mary points out that the foxtrot is one of the most difficult dances in ballroom dancing and she thinks they were amazing. She says they were fantastic and there was some really tough stuff in that.
Adam says he was madly in love with that routine; it brought him back to everything he loves about the MGM days. They just stepped up to another level. “Movie plug.”
Mary asks if they really stepped it up and I’m cracking up because she has no idea she keeps getting it wrong and Adam is getting more and more annoyed by it. Serves him right.
Nigel says that the plugs on this show are just disgusting and Adam retorts that they’re worse than Nigel’s in his hair. LMAO! I think I just forgave him for everything else tonight! Nigel is just pleased they had a chance to dance and they’d make a great opening act for anybody. UGH. Just stop!!! After all of that, he loved the routine and he loved them both in it.
We’ve already arrived at the last performance of the evening! Wow. That flew by tonight. So, we’ve got Witney and Chehon, and they’ve got Bollywood. Of course that means they’ve got Nakul as their choreographer since NO ONE else on the face of the planet can ever choreograph Bollywood. I’m super nervous because I remember what happened the last time a ballet boy got Bollywood on this show.
They do a really good job here. Bollywood isn’t my favorite genre on this show, but I think it’s what they needed this week. At least Chehon did.
Adam says every time they have Bollywood on the show it is pure delight. He says this was a great way to end the show and he’s so happy to see the joy on Chehon’s face. He says it’s the first time and tells him to keep up the great work.
