Standing ovation from the judges. Christina admits she knows jackshit about this particular style, but what she does know is that she loved it. She’d also really like to play a game where she throws pencils through Cyrus’ ear holes.
Nigel also loved it and then takes it upon himself to remind us that Cyrus has never once ever never never been in the bottom two. It’s because America loves him you know. It’s funny how he keeps feeling the need to defend Cyrus being there by saying America loves him but then complaining about all the complaints he gets about it. Doesn’t seem to jive, does it?
Mary continues in that vein, talking about Twitter and how people are shocked that Cyrus is still there which doesn’t make sense if everyone is voting for him the way Nigel keeps insisting they are. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm.
Now it’s time to get to the contestant/contestant pairings. Witney and Chehon are put together for a Jean-Marc Generaux cha cha. What a load of crap. If anyone should have gotten ballroom this week it’s Cyrus. Both Chehon and Cole have already had two other ballroom dances where Cyrus has had only one. It’s such bullshit.
It’s just not good y’all. Chehon is definitely not comfortable in this style of dance and it shows. They flub a lift early on and I actually gasped because I thought for sure Chehon was going to drop her. Thankfully he was able to save the lift, but damn it was a little tense there for a moment. Witney is Witney, so she was good in the piece but I am so over her by now that I don’t even care. I’m more upset that Chehon seems to be being set up here.
Mary says that while it was better than his samba it still wasn’t good enough. He agrees with her and says that it is really hard for him. She then has a Mary moment where she calls Witney by Lindsay’s name.
Mary points out that they fucked up the lift which really didn’t help show Witney off, plus she thinks that Wit was holding back to try and make Chehon look better. Not good for her at all.
Christina thought they were sexy and she didn’t even know that they missed the lift. Nigel interjects how much he loves that these guest judges always chicken out of giving real criticism.
PLEASE do it Christina!
Nigel is with Mary on this one, but does say that he loved Chehon’s paso last week. That’s great, but it was actually a tango you moron.
