Amber has Leah color and tells her all the colors. She calls them “crowns”. I HATE that! I have to keep all over my son telling him that “crayon” has two syllables. I sat in front of a kid in the 4th grade who said it the same way as Amber and it took three of us five minutes to figure out what he was saying.
Maci pulls a nice one when her friend asks her if the house they looked at was in their price range. She says, “Heeellll no!” Bentley quickly repeats it and then proceeds to punch his mother over and over in the arm. MY child has never repeated a foul exclamation I made. I don’t use such words. I have more class than that.
Maci chats with her friend about what her parents will think of her buying a house with Kyle. She has no plans to marry any time soon, but they don’t think they’ll break up either. I guess if you turn around and date another guy named Kyle, then it doesn’t count as a breakup.
Farrah is fighting with Sophia over not refusing to take a nap. It’s cracking me up, because I see Debra’s face in Sophia when she pitches a fit. Farrah makes a pathetic attempt at timeout. Then Farrah makes a similar statement to one made by another chick that was on another reality show called Baby Borrowers. I’ll never forget the teenage girl holding a crying 2 year old and yelling, “You two going on three and you actin’ like a baby!” Don’t have babies if you don’t want them acting like…hrrm…babies.
Dammit, Sophia! Grow up already!
Maci goes to drop the bomb on her mother about buying a house with a guy to whom she’s not fully committed. They’re going to use Kyle’s credit and Maci’s money. Well, that sounds like a great idea. For whatever reason, her mom thinks this is a good idea. I want to believe she’s just at the end of her rope and washed her hands of this a long time ago.
Ty wants to go see April, so he and Cate drive over there. I bet that feels great to talk to the woman your dad just beat up. Nick was asleep during the fight, to April wants to continue to shield him from this so Cate takes Nick outside to play while April and Ty talk. These crazies on this show keep throwing in these unexpectedly mature moves.
We hear some back story on Butch. His dad killed himself, he was beaten growing up. They wonder when this will all end and they have to face the harsh reality that Butch isn’t going to chill out until he’s dead. Ty doesn’t want to see April go through this anymore and tells her she needs to stay away from Butch for her own good. He almost brings me to tears when he says his biggest fear is that his dad goes to his grave an unhappy person. Apparently, Butch told Ty straight up that the reality is that he loves cocaine more than Ty. April faces the fact that she’s lower than cocaine when it comes to her own husband. I’m sure Butch is a great guy deep down, but drugs are really, really bad, mmkay. I refuse to be snarky about this. I do have boundaries. Not many, but they do exist.
