Not a real tear is shed during Bentley’s tantrum. He needs to learn how to act. My kid can shed tears anytime he feels the need. She does a pretty good job during drop off and he does really well. Not a tear. Maybe she realized she’s horrible and needs to attempt to get over herself. Ah, who am I kidding?
OMG, is she still there?
Over at Cate and Ty’s, they’re hanging with friends and eating tacos. Ty leans over Cate’s plate and she says, “Hey, get off my taco!” Because my sense of humor is so sophomoric, I found that hilarious. Ty shares that, in 20 years, this is the closest Butch has ever been to getting off parole. How sad is it that he’s been on parole or in the click since before Ty was born? And let’s not kid ourselves that he’s not getting ready to get himself arrested again. Cate’s slacking on getting registered for school. She thinks it’s going to be crazy going to school and working. Don’t start, Cate. I love you, so don’t start. I started working 40 hours a week Junior year of high school. It sucks balls, but it’s doable.
Amber’s been in rehab now for two months. I know I’m not a counselor or anything, but shouldn’t they be making her dress all the way everyday? I have yet to see her wear more than a t-shirt, pajama pants, and slippers. I would think it’s important for an addict to learn to dress all the way to shoes seeing as how always wearing PJs tends to keep you in that same state of no motivation.
Back at home, her mom is cleaning up which I guess means she’s getting ready to bring Amber home. She calls Gary and it seems that he’s had so many tickets that he just got his license back. What a dumbass. There doesn’t seem to really be a redeeming quality about it. Amber is also working on getting her license back. It makes me sad, because it seems like Little Leah is going to be thrown into the same upbringing that Cate and Ty had and they’re a rare positive statistic. Amber’s worried that Gary’s not going to be used to the person she is now and I’m sure she’s right. For a guy that is grooming you to be easily manipulated by him isn’t going to be happy to have to reprogram you. Because of that, he’s going to tear you down by treating you as if you haven’t made a single improvement.
It’s Debra’s last night in Florida, so they go out to dinner. We’re a few minutes into the dinner and Debra seems to be doing very well walking on eggshells. She asks Farrah about Daniel and she seems really in love. Debra is really happy for her. It’s weird to see Farrah smiling while talking with her mom. Debra expresses her happiness in getting to visit while Farrah has some down time. I hate to wonder how long this will last. I don’t like being all pessimistic, but this IS Farrah and Debra.
Even Sophia’s prepared for the shit to hit the fan.
