Camila tells us that this Challenge is a very different environment, and she’s frustrated that she might be going home tomorrow.
“I don’t know which way is up when Bananas isn’t here to tell me.”
Brandon tries to tell her that she’s one of the best girls there, and it turns into a fight for… some reason. I don’t even know, it makes no sense. Apparently they were both just stressed out and in a bad mood (read: drunk), and it all came bubbling to the surface at once. They yell at each other a whole bunch even though they’ve never fought before. Camila seems to think it’s because she speaks her mind and Brandon doesn’t. The whole time they’re fighting there is exactly one thought going through my head:
CAN SOMEONE GET BRANDON ON A TEAM THAT ISN’T FREAKING WORTHLESS FOR ONCE?!
Seriously, has anyone (on this show, at least) ever had worse luck with teammates? Just wondering. The fight ends with Camila walking away, talking about going home, while Brandon tells her a team player wouldn’t walk away. Cara Maria is surprised because she’s never heard Brandon yell like this.
The next morning, sobriety sets in and Camila and Brandon sit down for a civil chat. She tells him that he was saying things to her and she had no idea where they were coming from. Brandon swallows his pride and they make up.
Trishelle brings up The Sarah Problem to Dustin, and Chet overhears and comes to her defense, saying that Sarah and Alton talk about things like “stars, and wind, and alignments.” He accuses Trishelle of being a conspiracy theorist. This might mean more coming from someone who isn’t Sarah’s teammate and closest ally. Trishelle wonders why Sarah wouldn’t volunteer herself if she’s so good at puzzles, but Chet says maybe she will. Seriously, how does Trishelle know she won’t? Chet insists that Sarah is not selfish.
Time for our weekly installment of Fresh Meat Dysfunction, so you know the ARENA is approaching. Cara Maria wonders if Camila was serious about wanting to go home, and would she maybe like to volunteer herself for the ARENA? Camila insists that she and Brandon have talked it out, and by the way she is definitely not volunteering herself for the ARENA, thankyouverymuch. She also accuses Cara Maria of trying to chicken out like last time, even though we saw no evidence of CM volunteering herself this time, so it’s quite the different situation.
We’re only on episode 3, and seems like Big Easy’s team has already had one fight for every pound he lost.
ARENA time. Teej asks Fresh Meat which girl will be going in, and of course they couldn’t decide again. Weirdly, though, it seems like Big Easy also didn’t volunteer himself despite being the one to DQ. I’m confused about whether or not they’re allowed to decide one gender but not the other. I think they either have to make both decisions or neither. Las Vegas chooses to send in Cara Maria and Brandon, which is probably a wise decision.
