From the role of oxytocin to the need for oxycodone. Lu and Ramona get together to shop for bikinis for St Barths. That would be a good charity–Bikinis for St Barths. Ramona begs Lu to try on a bikini for her, but Lu feels that would be like masturbating in public. Lu likes to do it alone with lots of mirrors and lighting. Ramona’s getting a little too excited and tries to convince the countess that it could be exciting if
Ramona people watched.
Here’s a little something to think about when you masturbate, Lu.
The subject changes to Aviva and her phobias. Ramona says that Aviva called her trying to convince her to bring Mario. Ramona’s all about the girls’ weekend and doesn’t understand why Aviva can’t go anywhere without her husband. Ramona’s thinking it through and isn’t sure she wants to be holding Aviva’s hand the whole time. There’s Turtle Time that needs attending to, after all.
Heather and Aviva get together with their families for all of the kids to meet. The carousel looks like fun to everyone except Aviva’s younger son. When asked why, he says it will shake a certain part of his body. Kids are funny and unpredictable.
One Step Ahead, using the funds raised from the Spinning class fundraiser, is surprising a boy that has never run before with a pair of prosthetic running legs. Carole, Aviva, and her older son are there for the surprise. It is one of the nicest scenes not only in this episode, but this season. Being there reminds Carole of her time in Cambodia working on a story of residents there making prosthetic limbs out of bike parts, tires, etc. Truly beautiful and inspiring. Go Jake!
Ramona invites Carole, Sonja, and Aviva to lunch in her apartment. While they are waiting for Aviva to arrive, Carole lets them know that Aviva was disappointed that they didn’t make it to her Spinning fundraiser. Sonja seems surprised that Ramona didn’t attend, either. Maybe they’re great actresses, but she seemed genuinely surprised. Carole lets them know that Aviva’s suspicious because not only did they both not attend, they texted at the same time.
What are we going to do now?
Ramona starts talking about a rash that would have made it painful to sweat while Spinning. Sonja also starts with her excuse that her assistants were not giving her dog his liver pills. Carole gives them a little side eye and feels like they should have been there if they promised. Ramona and Sonja have a weird hand holding thing going on that isn’t helping.
Sonja launches into a discussion of dog diapers, liver pills, and crying interns. Even though Carole is wishing for it to stop, it doesn’t. Aviva arrives and everyone is playing so nicely–no biting, no throwing sand, or stealing toys. Ramona apologizes for missing the Spinning event and gives Aviva a check. Sonja’s a little annoyed because she’s empty-handed.
After I fixed her up with my dad, this is the way she treats me?
