Andrea, confusing being ridden more than a city bus with actual power, keeps trying to earn admittance to the STD. DENIED. Gov. gets all abusive husband-like and tells her to do as he says. Add the husband from Sleeping with the Enemy to the list of asshats the Gov. brings to mind.
Does this quilted leather vest and sickly pallor make it seem like I have a big penis?
Michonne is chilling in Gov’s private quarters, patiently waiting to take this SOB out. Meanwhile, Rick’s crew sets off a few more smoke bombs and starts to make their move out of this bizarro world. Andrea emerges from whatever shadow she was lurking in – will she finally get a clue?! Will she recognize her friends? Will she trick her friends and lead them straight to Governor?
She tells Gov. she saw them, and although she means it in the more general sense, not a specific “oh shit that’s my old crew” pick-them-out-of-a-lineup sense, he looks concerned. He’s about to crap his pants when she says it seems like one was wearing a prison jumpsuit.
Hope y’all got some Pampers stashed in this joint.
Daryl wants his gang to go on ahead so he can “cover “ them, aka find Merle. More fighting and gunshots ensue, but I honestly don’t see the Rickettes really taking anyone out. It’s interesting that people who seem to take out hordes of zombies with perfect headshots every time couldn’t even hit water if they fell out of a boat right now.
All of a sudden Rick spots Shane(!!!) coming for him. First we must see the random prisoner (whose name I never bothered to learn for this exact reason) get shot. Rick kills Shane only to discover it was not, in fact, Shane. Just a low-rent look alike. Disappointing.
Back at the prison where the action isn’t 1% as thrilling, Carl taking inventory of Judith Light’s formula. Well, since no one bothered to get any in advance, all they have is what Michonne brought. Carl seems doubtful the Rickettes will return, stating Judith Light is now the only family he’s got.
There are worse things in the world.
Carl & the Gang hear some strange noises, which must be the new group of Other Others (the first Others being the residents of the ‘Bury). Carl goes off by himself, and Judith Light, Hersh, and blond/bland daughter are powerless to stop him. The new people are fighting off a group of walkers with their primitive weapons. Luckily Carl is here to save the day and lead them to the safer part of the prison. Translation: Carl senses he has better odds with this strapping group than with Judith Light and Hershel. He keeps telling them to live Zombie Appetizer Gal behind, and this is the first time in the 30 hours of the series that Carl has uttered something resembling sense.
