This Week in YouTube

Dobar dan, Gasmjic! That’s “Good day, Gasmii,” in Croatian because I’m sophisticated like that. Anyway…WELCOME! To our new feature This Week in YouTube where I scour video sites looking for those special jewels you might have missed. This week we have cats, a new Schoolhous Rock video, Don Johnson, Bible study with Rhett & Link and wise words from Toronto!

We all know that cats invented the internet. We’ve been worshipping them for millennia but they’re usually fat, lazy and apathetic, and they don’t have opposable thumbs, so it took them 5,000 years to finally create lolcats. But a video has recently been unearthed that shows one of their earlier attempts at mind control, through the hapless 70s “dance troupe” Ballet Zoom.

That was some good CGI.

But, “Hey, vallegirl,” you say. I’m an undecided voter and want to exert my constitutional right to pick this year’s winner and gloat if my guy gets elected. Thing is, I’ve never voted before and want to know how. Well, there’s a new Schoolhouse Rock video (video not actually affiliated with Schoolhouse Rock or any reputable educational organization) featuring homeless Uncle Sam who explains it all:

Meanwhile, at work the other day I bona fide, legitimately had a good reason to be on YouTube looking up the name “Don Johnson” but not that Don Johnson but of course that Don Johnson came up. And of course I had to watch it. And of course, now I have to share it with you.

This isn’t all fun and games and mocking 80s actors, though. This is also an educational post and since it’s Sunday, lets study some Bible with Rhett & Link.
