Back with Jasmine, Tiffanie and Denetra are pissing and moaning about a glitz dress that “Miss Randi” made that as Denetra says is “glitz garbage.” It’s stiff, scratchy and the zipper is broken, which sounds more like a Miss Muffet creation. And they spent $1600 on it, so maybe Ali is right – the uglier the girl, the more expensive the dress, because Jasmine is FUUUUGLY, mostly on the inside.
Jasmine complains that wearing a beauty dress is hard, especially this one because it’s like “Christmas gone bad.” You should know.
Well, okay, these poinsettias are from Hell.
Pageant day! Tonya is all about bringing on the bling at the pageant and I have to say, I’m loving the fleur de lis crowns! Those are pretty cool, but you know I am easily distracted by shiny things and George Clooney.
It’s ain’t a pageant without one of these, folks.
Tonya tells us people have “major money, major time and major investments” in these pageants. “And really, if you think about it, LIFE is a pageant…we’re onstage every moment of our lives!” Tonya, unless it’s 4:20, I’m going to need you to reel it in. Now go get some Doritos and get ready for all of that bling!
Tonya is seriously losing it!
Tonya runs through the kids…Amiya is a “naturally beautiful little girl,” leading me to believe that now Tonya needs glasses; Tori is a “firecracker” which is code for bratty little bitch; and Jasmine is, well, a total bitch. Tonya doesn’t say that but you know she’s thinking it. She’ll swear she’s not, but she is.
She also won’t mention that this kid ate the ENTIRE inside of a cupcake prior to the pageant. Schweinchen!
So Ali tells us that Dane Dane is doing Tori’s hair and makeup, and D-D kind of looks like a clean version of Fransolonely Cutabitch who does Eden’s hair and makeup on Eden’s World as well as at pageants. She hates kids and usually does a terrible job, plus she was really mean to her kid…the upside is that following Eden around means she leaves her own kid ALONE.
Is this name a joke or more nomenclature hilarity from the pageant world?
We’ve seen Dane Dane before and I get the feeling she thinks she’s all that because of her name. She’s not. I mean, she does an okay job I guess…judging from one commenter, she does a pretty good job most of the time. Just not what we see here.
But OMG, where do I sign up?
Dane2 takes one look at Tori’s fall and is like, WTF? I must have missed that the first time around (taking notes, eating or drinking…take your pick). But she does give the hairy eyeball to the fall as Tori interviews that she is NOT excited to have her hair done because it’s hurts and takes too long.
Didn’t I have octopus salad for lunch?
If you like it, spread it!:

horray for team makenzie!!!!! i noticed they turned the camera alot to film makenzie and her mommy…
must mean theres a makenzie show coming up..its always nice to see a kid picking a winner out of their noses..cbs needs to bring back kid nation…lol
this is a PSA to stop the plucking of eyebrows into commas. Please ladies, the chola look is out, grab some latisse or lilash and stop tweezing or shaving!
Jasmine is really not a brat with barely a pulse, she is just preventing future lines on her face by showing no expressions what so ever, lol. Ali proved that once again Karma IS a bitch. I am sure if she finds this site she will be crying bad editing claiming that she would never say the comment regarding fluffy dresses and ugly kids.
I don’t know what to make of Honey BooBoo Child. I thought the show would be about watching her pursue her dream of winning a pageant. Now it appears to be more about her family and their lifestyle which sort of bums me out because I was in Honey’s corner. So I will watch and enjoy the snark because they signed the contract, idiots… Do you know who will be recapping this mess?
Hi closet fan!! You need to go read the mini recap comments, then u will see I found site long ago!! Crabby not bad but not your best! Been waiting to read it, now on to something else! Have enjoyed chatting with you all this week!!
BTW my dd is a star, and there are
Ugly children, sorry…..
Now, I don’t know pageants, but I would assume that if you’re paying someone hundreds of dollars to do good hair it should be good. And that hair was dreadful!
Every child is a star to their parents. But insisting that your child is a star in everyone’s eyes is a recipe for failure.
The office in which I used to work had Dr. Laura on the radio each day for the edification of all the employees. I remember a woman calling in and for some reason started to talk about her BEAUTIFUL daughter. Dr. Laura cut her off with, “You’re the mother. You would think that if she had two heads.” Whatever you think of Dr. Laura, I think that is a message all pageant moms should hear, none more so than Ali.
I met Laura briefly that weekend and she is awesome I have to agree, and she did excellent job filming! As far as what I said or did about hair nobody seen that nor I’m I supposed to discuss, let’s just say the whole world seen how highly I think of my daughter and what a “bitch” everyone claims I am so we can all rest easy knowing I handled the situation!! Yes your right every mother thinks their daughter is a star, and everyone should! Sayin that makes it a recipe for failure??? Hmm guess I am being uneducated again because I don’t get it! (yes I have my tounge hanging out) ! Please note everyone’s definition of a star is different, but confidence in ones self is what makes a person successful in whatever avenue
Of life they choose, my child happens to be very very humble, she asks me all the time why everyone call her cute when when we go places. Find me on twitter @Claytonmom1 and on FB Ali Clayton so when this is over u can keep up with my dd and her “star” accomplishments, and her ability to turn everything she touches into gold!!
@Ali, I couldn’t give two shits about your star daughter, but I love to read any and all posts from insane, delusional pageant moms. Keep ‘em comin’!
I posted this in the minicap, but it’s more appropriate here: I am sick to death of people using “I am just being honest” as an excuse to be rude. Knock it off, and stop teaching your impressionable child that it’s okay. Are “difficult to love and to live with” and “rotten” how you want tori described as an adult? You may be permanently incorrigible, ali, but tori isn’t. Yet. Tori is a cute kid, and having seen her before on stage, I will agree that she normally looks much better than she did on this episode. As a consumer of Dane’s service, though, it was up to you to ask her to fix it, or demand a refund. It might also just be time for a new hairpiece. No matter how well you care for it, all the teasing/styling/chemicals etc eventually wear it out.
When did it become wrong to think you’re children are wonderful and beautiful? I guarantee you would be appalled if someone got on the show and said their kid was just…. “ehhhh… She’s ok. There’s prettier kids out there”
@pageant-grandma, in light of your last post, I would like to edit mine thusly:
Ali, I couldn’t give two shits about your star daughter (just being honest), but I love to read any and all posts from insane, delusional pageant moms (just being honest). Keep ‘em comin’!
When did it become wrong to think you’re children are wonderful and beautiful?
I don’ think that is quite the same as something like “my kid is beautiful and a star, and she should not have to be around all those other no-talent, ugly kids.”
It was interesting to see Makenzie not win the Ulimate Deep Dish. Seriously I can’t stand that kid or Eden for that matter.
Jasmine was a beatiful girl with legs up to there, being 5’2″ I’m so jealous. lol.
WTF is up with these nut case mom’s living through their kids. Train wrecks I know and yet I can’t stop watching them and cheering when they have a melt down.
On the hair, and yes it was that bad, why didn’t she say anything? Don’t they usually have a couple of wigs or wiglets with them to use.
Jesus woman, it’s not a life and death situation, do the fucken hair yourself and quit bitching.
YAY! Another comment’s war? This is my contribution for the first 100!!
In Brazil we call those moms who always think their kids is perfect “maes corujas” (owls moms). Have you ever seen a baby owl? It’s the most ugly thing, but I bet the mother thinks it’s beautiful!
Do people like Ali with bad grammar think they sound the same as people with good grammar? Can they just not hear their own white-trashiness?
The hair pieces are expensive– upwards of a few hundred each for the falls like tori had, less for the “wiglets” used for updos like Kayla and kailia were sporting last week– so most families only own 1 for beauty, plus any extras for the other various outfits. My granddaughter will be rockin’ the updo for a while because of that.
man, this episode definitely provided plenty of recapping fuel to make up for last week’s snoozefest (the episode, that is).
jasmine’s original dress looked like something out of that cheesy tv movie, “zenon: girl of the 21st century,” or maybe out of a very low-budget early ’90s music video. not that the prettiest dress can hide her inside-ugly. i do think she is very physically beautiful, which is a damn shame, because it’ll just egg her on in continuing the development of that bitchy persona.
i’m not sure why so many people think amiya is ugly or weird-looking; maybe because i am part asian, but i think she’s a gorgeous kid. not in a traditional american pageant girl way, though.
dearcrabby, i really hope you become here comes honey boo boo’s recapper!!!
also, does the pic of makenzie on the 6th page remind anyone of angel in party monster? only maybe more stoned.
Ignorant: Lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.
Lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular: “ignorant of astronomy”.
Ever notice how ‘ignorant’ or ‘ignant’ ‘ is the go to phrase for those who (by definition) are most likely ‘ignorant’ themselves?
I will agree that there is a double standard for pageant mothers, to an extent. If they say their child is gorgeous, we smirk. If they say their child is less attractive, we snark (ie Jaimie Sterling). When parents measure their child’s value by beauty, they set the groundwork for dissent among the public and mockery.
There is nothing wrong with thinking your child is beautiful, though there is something wrong with teaching a child that they are more valuable because of their beauty. It’s obviously a genetic crap shoot, look at these fugly parents with darling children. Their children are cute despite the parents atrocious genetic contribution and deplorable grooming. Perhaps we should value mom and dad less as they do not meet my standard of beauty? No, wait…THAT would be ignorant of me.

@ali i don’t understand — first you state that being confident makes you a “star,” and follow it with your daughter’s “humility” in always asking why people call her cute, which doesn’t sound too confident to me. as crabbyfan pointed out, there is nothing at all wrong in being proud of your child and thinking they’re wonderful, but your logic doesn’t follow. that, and it doesn’t mean you need to put down other children, because even the fugliest pageant kid’s mom thinks she/he is a “star.”
@lils i wonder the same thing. i have a pretty hard time understanding their posts, but i can only imagine they sound completely normal to themselves.
@pageant grandma to be so opinionated why don’t u share your name, you speak as if u have seen my child.. Like I said in last post I can’t say what I did about hair piece I have actually already rec’d phone calls from editors on reveling too much about what went on behind the scene! But I assure u tori was the one to beat Dane knew it I was sabatoged so her normal clients would have an edge! Which is fine with me my daughter walking away with a high title despite her efforts and lets face it, it made the episode a hit!
@penny I agree some, but someone being beautiful does make them more successful in today’s society! Right or wrong that’s how it is I didn’t make the rules. People do experiments on the issue all the time, the prettier less experienced person always gets the job over the less attractive person with more experience! Me saying my dd asks me why everyone calls her cute was not a reflection of her confidence it was to show everyone that she is humble and my arrogance about her has not ruined her like you all think! A person is only as pretty or as good as they think/believe they are! Confidence speaks louder than any amount of hair, make up, or clothes ever could!!
Someone needs to tell this Dane Dane to visit and defend herself! I have seen her on the show many times and she must be a sister to the coach Cristina?
Ali needs to tone down on the eyebrow wax and contrasting highlights….just saying
(since exclaiming that at the end of a nasty statement means we are just being matter of fact and non-bitchy).
@ harriet, I tried to warn her about the eyebrows earlier also, yikes!
@Harriet, I so agree with you, and already have, remember it wasnt live it was in March, but thanks for the tips but beat you to it!! Would be more than happy to return the favor and give you some tips on your appearance if you would like to send me a pic! We know I will be honest, a bitch, or whatever term we are using for it!
@Jean but of course she is…She is reading dont you worry, im sure her supporters are posting or will soon, they probobly arent back from their weekend pageant where they came back winners because they choose to put up with bullshit in return for fake wins!!
See they honestly do have power, which is sad to say in most national level pageants, they dictate to their students where to compete, which is normal, but in their case they do it by which director allows their mother to have here grubby little hands in the outcome.
You dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure this out i mean an uneducated hick like myself has it figured out. Cristina has a huge following because frankly she is DA bomb, so when she suggests a certain pageant that she supports to her following students of 59 plus girls they all go to said pageant which is between 500-1500 a head for entry, then she books lessons for 2 solid days before clear until midnight at $100 an hour, and sister dane the great h/m artist gets to book as many as she can for h/m at 200.00 a piece! Poor director if she doesnt call the winners like mom Val sees fit, the director will not have their pageant group backing them anymore, you do the math! So these directors can choose to stick to their morals or feed their families and give the wins according to the way Val see’s fit! Just to clairify I never said they werent always deserved their are some amazingly talented pageant girls under Cristina that have deserved every win, but their are a lot that win because they do more lessons, kiss more ass, or take more shit off them! So before all the Supreme moms go to bitching, there should be nothing to bitch about unless you think i am refering to you, you attention whores! I am just the only one who is not scared to stand up for myself I am not ok with buying a crown, even if my dd won ultimate and me and Val were bff (lol) i wld hate leaving wondering if it was based on talent or because i help feed her fat ass! So needless to say we will probobly have to take up another sport because Val has had her grubby hands in pageants for years and that will not change, luckily the next thing my dd touches will turn to gold as well!! i mean i see why they hate me, Tori has done pageants 3 years and only had a handful of lessons, only done a few national level pageants, we borrow or rent dresses, and she still shows up and kicks the asses of the girls that do lessons weekly, compete nationally at the least twice a month, and have the best wardrobe money could buy!! Thats the difference in a child wanting it and a mother wanting it! Sorry so long just wanted to share all that since we were all being honest with one another!!
Ali– not sure how long you’ve been lurking, but we’ve covered this before. No, I will not, under any circumstances, reveal my name or that of my granddaughter on this site. If we chose to be followed, I would, but we have not, and will not. We enjoy pageantry, as a hobby. My granddaughter mostly competes locally though she’s done a handful of nationals (and has supremed at all but 1 of those). Like I said– tori is a cute little girl, and having seen her compete (I don’t think we ever met), I agree that her hair was a hot mess and no doubt cost her a much bigger title. To pull a supreme with her hair looking like that speaks volumes for her performance. Honestly, had we seen more of that and less of the rest of it, I’d have loved it. At least you are owning your issues and not blaming it on the editing (we all know they edit, and often not in a flattering way, mind you). Props to you for that.
Figured it had been covered before but i am sure poster did not leave their name, i usually always look at the re cap but never have paid attention to comments before. Thanks for the compliments, dont blame you for not leaving your name or your grand daughters, which also proves you know you would be subjecting your grandchild to being black balled, sad i know but true! I dont blame any pageant mom for not supporting me, because pageants might be thier lives, and I would never want them to jepordize that, my dd loves them but by no means is it our lives, nor will i ever show her that i allow ppl to treat me like shit and run over me! To each their own…
Why, why, why do pageant moms always hate paragraphs? It’s exhausting.
But crabby– the wall-o-words is so much more fun when intermixed with the slaughtering of 3rd grade grammar! Or something….
The grammar jokes are really old and are actually a lot funnier when u are in 3rd grade! Typing on my I phone not checking for errors nor do I care too! If I was I assure you it wld be perfect just like my GPA was when I earned my masters! @ Dear Crabby I find the comment odd coming from some one who writes paragraphs all day, and just like people choose to read your sometimes redundant exhausting paragraphs it’s by their choice, as are mine! @ pageant grandma provide your email and I will first send my comments to you to correct for me so we can move on to something else to judge me on, cause that my friend is exhausting!
@Ali: Honey, if you have a master’s degree, then I am the fucking President of Harvard University.
Just sayin’.
Your right I’m lying that’s what I’m known for! Lol maybe u should have applied yourself and went Harvard then u wld not have to use the word Nut as your name on a T&T blog and you could actually be out experiencing one! Just sayin..
Who knows you might produce a “star” but chances are you wld be in the market for a puffy expensive pageant dress! Bahahahahaha
Oh goodie…not as feisty as other pageant moms. But I’ll take the comment war. keep Em comin Ali…
I have a masters degree. My spelling is horrible. I didn’t get a soft one in something easy either. Please for the love of all things holy, tell me this Ali person doesn’t have a social work degree. Societal collapse, duece.
@Ali, I would love to know the title of your master’s thesis. I’ll bet it has to do with something really difficult and esoteric.
Psychology of course!!
A masters degree and no concept of the difference between “your” ( possessive– as in your daughter, or your puffy expensive dress) and “you’re” (a contraction for you are, as in “you’re a high-maintenance bitch”)… I weep for the state of our collegiate educational system.
@Ali: “Psychology” – what a wonderfully creative title for a master’s thesis! No doubt it was a snap defending it.
Just sayin’.
@pageant-grandma: “you’re a high-maintenance bitch”
LOL!
I weep for the state of our collegiate educational system.
Don’t. Weep for the people who waste money on mail-order master’s degrees.
I like the new “just sayin’” and “just being honest” rule! Can’t wait to say something REALLY offensive or cruel or bitchy and tack on “just sayin’.”
Hmm…let me think…ooo – I have one. @Ali (number 28), Just being honest, but Harriet didn’t choose to sign up for a national TV show and then decide to appear with those eyebrows, that hair, that attitude and sticking her tongue out like a cow attempting to regurgitate her cud, so I doubt she’ll be sending you that picture. Just sayin’.
Y’all are right – that WAS fun!
Well its been great chatting with yall, now i am bored! Have a good one everyone!!
Luckily for the rest of us gasmii– “it’s been fun– bye!!” are the famous non-last words of overly defensive pageant moms who never sem to be actually able to shut up.
Sweet [Insert Deity of Your Choice Here]! I submit comments on my iPhone all the time, yet my spelling, grammar, and punctuation are pretty close to flawless. (<— That is my confidence shining through, 'cos I want to be a star too!) Why? Because I give a damn about how I am perceived by others, even strangers on the internet. I don't care if people think I'm a mouthy bitch, but there is no way that they'll be left thinking that I'm an ignorant mouthy bitch.
Oh, and I think "now i am bored!" is code for "people haven't paid attention to me for ten minutes, so I'm going to go troll another site now." Just sayin'.
Always fun reading the comments, craziness abounds as usual. I have a question though, I’ve seen many of the pageant parents call their pageant kids their DD’s and although I should probably know what it stands for and will feel like an idiot when it is told to me, can someone help me out. Thx
Dear daughter, darling daughter, damn daughter….
Not all Master’s Degrees require a thesis. I earned mine in English Literature by taking the very tough 2 day Comprehensive Examination.
Regarding beauty – I always tell my son, “don’t pat yourself on the back for something you didn’t earn.” That is something I read Kathleen Turner’s mother would say to her and I love it. BTW Ali, there are plenty of non-beautiful on the outside CEOs so I don’t think your statement is true. You must hang with some shallow folks.
Thanks chick-lips/46, you stole the words right out of my mouth! No i didn’t sign up for a reality show and never will…you did Ali.
Now as for the critique, just imagine yourself in a younger form, who has more naturally shaped eyebrows, goes to an expensive hairdresser that doesn’t do 1″ thick highlights, goes to the gym, has a face that is better proportioned than your own and doesn’t buy all my own clothes from kmart “just saying”.
Oh but I do not have a masters degree. Especially in psychology. So I guess you win?
So.
This has squat to do with the conversation with Ali, but I just found out that pageants are actually popular where I live (Alberta, Canada). Who knew? I believe it was ConfusedinCanada who pointed out last week that there is a beauty pageant this weekend (very close to where I live, actually) and I was SO SO tempted to go and check it out. However, I do not have a child and thus would feel like a creepy stalker…
BUT exciting news for Canada re: pageants – inappropriate outfits are banned completely from Alberta’s circuit, regardless of whether or not it’s glitz. You can’t show excess skin, can’t have skirts too short etc. and if the judges feel that your child’s outfit is inappropriate for their age then it can hurt your score tremendously. The glitz pageants still do the tans/flippers/fake hair etc. but still, even though Alberta is basically Canada’s Texas (Texas North, as they say) at least it appears we have higher standards!
Also – now this is regarding the Ali situation – I can understand people spelling words incorrectly, especially if they’re on their phones. Not everyone is a great speller, regardless of education level. HOWEVER, to get a degree in psychology (must less a Master’s), you can’t get your/you’re and they’re/there/their mixed up. You just can’t. I refuse to believe that any university would allow someone with such a poor grasp of grammar to go through 6+ years of education unscathed. It’s just not possible.
Just saying.
@ georgiababe haha she definitely doesn’t have a masters degree, in psychology or otherwise. In a previous comment she referred to herself as an uneducated hick – no one with a tertiary education does that. And then she blatantly said she is “known for lying”.
Pretty good about the Canadian pageant system. You should get toddlers and tiaras to follow one, people would be shocked to see one where the kids don’t look like hookers (seriously who puts their kid in a skanky police outfit anyway!). The universal royalty people tried to hold a pageant here in Australia and it was a hot mess, on the front of every newspaper and everyone was outraged about it and how it exploits children. It was Eden Wood though, so I can see how exploitation was the word of choice….
Thanks pageant grandma! That is what I was telling myself but since so many people used it I wasn’t sure if there was a specific one. I actually was asked to be a vendor at a pageant this past weekend (I make jewelry) but couldn’t due to other commitments, but I’m sure it would have been interesting to say the least.
@Laura Gill — your response sounds like it comes from somebody with a master’s degree. “Psychology of course!!” sounds like it comes from somebody who doesn’t have any idea what a master’s thesis is.
So, let me get this straight. Someone named Christina and a pageant mom named Val actually decide who wins in the pagents they are involved in? Seriously? Where do people come up with this stuff?
Yes, Christina and Val, the
DonsDonnatellas? of the pageant world mafia. You DO NOT wanna eff with them.^^^are they like the pixie stick drug lords?
the pixie sticks and gogo juice are just a front for what they’re REALLY up to.
I think Dane-Dane and Cutabitch were separated at birth… As always Crabby, you made my day with your insightful snarkiness… Jasmine has the dead eyes of a serial killer…JES SAYIN.. Ha Ha had to get that one in
I think Ali’s MASTER is in BATING.
Jesus, Crabby! Make me spit coffee all over my laptop screen, why don’t you?
But you are so, so correct, and I can easily imagine that she DOES have a 4.0 GPA in that.
First time that I don’t keep up with the comments on the mini I missed a mom, Ali. Of course you think your daughter is beautiful, she is your daughter. I don’t agree with your “You see a girl in a big fluffy pageant dress? Her momma knows she’s ugly.” We have seen just meh to beautiful girls in all different types of dresses. Tori is your average pretty little girl. She is not beautiful. Beautiful? Samantha, Daisy Mae, Mia and Hailey and there are more. And Gabby and Zoe who I will go cheer on when they are in my area.
Glad you are on here, I always like hearing the inside scoop. Also, thank you for not blaming editing that gets old fast and not having to use a curse word every other word. Time will tell if Tori actually becomes a “star”.
I stand by what I said, Karma is a bitch. You project good, you get good back, you project ugly and you get bad hair.
Dear Crabby, great recap as always.
“Why, why, why do pageant moms always hate paragraphs? It’s exhausting”
Paragraphs, punctuation, proper grammar and spelling….you name it. With the exception of a few pageant moms who come on here the entire lot of them seem to be severely lacking in basic education. There is no way Ali has a master’s degree. I have one myself and work with people who almost exclusively have their master’s or higher, and none of them …NONE…would ever speak and present themselves the way Ali does.
Ali, yes, your daughter is pretty, but every week we see kids on this show who are just as pretty, if not more so. I understand that all parents think their kids are beautiful but when you are at a pageant most kids are going to be nice looking.
@Ali, I have to comment on this one being that I have a niece that is top dawg and does pageants all the time and wins all the time. Yes she has an expensive dress, goes to coaching, has a beautiful face and has many supreme titles under her belt. I need to educate you a little.. Your daughter’s hairpiece was a mess.. We have used Dane Dane several times and she has made my niece look beautiful and did an excellant job on her.. There is no way she could do anything else to that hair that wasn’t already done.. If its not rolled correctly and taken care of I dont care who you give it to its not going to look like anything. For you to come on here and say pageant people buy beautiful dresses to make their daughter look good you are sick.. You need some help! You are just making excuses for whatever reason. If you had a problem with Dane Dane’s hair and makeup why in the world didn’t you say anything. She is well known in the pageant world and you better hope you havent ruined yourself in the pageant world.. Going on national television and talking as badly as you did not only made yourself look stupid but ruined any chance for your daughter from here on out. Better go where noone knows you. Before you ask, it dont matter who my niece is.. we have been doing pageants long enough to know!! Thats Dear Crabby,, love the recaps!!
@pageant aunt – are you saying pageants are fixed?
Just wanna say please read all above posts before u spend your time telling me things I have already covered!! Thank u so much tho for validating to everyone that bashing the almighty Dane has ruined us and them finishing by not stating your name! Bahahahaha
But yes scroll up and I already covered all that ather BS you think happened because reality shows aren’t edited!!
Btw don’t waste your time wondering if your nieces wins were real, I’m sure they were! (real expensive that is not just talking abt $ either self worth as well) wink!
One more time just for you just sayin…
The good systems won’t hold the mom’s oral diarrhea against the kid, but the better h/m vendors would probably think twice about accepting the child ad a client. As a designer, I know I won’t sell to someone I have seen publicly bad mouth another designer.
After a weekend trip, I am trying to catch up. Anyone else notice that the delusiona in #36 is so advanced, Ali must be using some 2013 logic that isn’t even out yet.
This is what my Pageant Mom to English translator said…
“Currently, J-Nut’s Nut is just a word, but with a Masters from Harvard, J-Nut’s Nut would be an experience”.
How does grad school help one experience a nut?? Sounds like the inspiration for someone to pursue a Master in Baiting(reason 112 that Crabby is the greatest) degree.
Just sayin’.
ali, i thought you were leaving to do something more challenging, like fix your eyebrows. just sayin’.
Like anyone in half their right mind would give their name, or that of their child, grandchild, niece, etc on this type of forum so the delusionas (who made the choice to appear on this trainwreck of a show) can be crazy. No. Not going to happen. We haven’t used Dane Dane for h/m– we have better results doing it ourselves. My daughter in law is a pro makeup artist, and I have learned to style a wiglet with the best of them. I have, however, seen plenty of her work and I have never seen hair that bad. It doesn’t make sense to me that she would “sabotage” a child’s hair, but rock their makeup, orcven just screw up the hair on purpose. It’s like intentionally doing a bad tattoo– at the end of the day, it’s about making money and you’re not going to make money if you get a reputation for substandard work.
“if you wanna roll with the big dogs, get off the porch.”
Good gosh she screwed her hair because her dad had to take her for the millionth damn time and he does not know how it is supposed to look, make up rocked because she wld never screw my child in front of me, she isn’t that stupid, and surenshe regrets f’ing up the hair as well, not because of the bad publicity but because I made her pay! (which I can not disclose because I wld get in trouble again from producers) ! Even if I did but I didn’t of course give her a jacked up hair piece why not send me away or do natural hair or something rather than let a kid leave her room to go on national television look like that?? O I know cause it will not hurt her any cause she knows their is a line of idiot pageant moms looking to buy their daughters a crown and kiss her fat ass!! Pageant grandma u keep defending not postin your name because you know you are chicken shit, go do a crossword puzzle or knit you old bitch! Js…
And we have cussing. Anyone know what “surenshe” is?
Cussing isn’t enough. If she reveals that her daughter was named after her chicken caccitore cravings during pregnancy, we may have a winner.
“Pageant grandma u keep defending not postin your name because you know you are chicken shit, go do a crossword puzzle or knit you old bitch! Js…”
Seriously lady, just shut up….you are going on like a narcissistic 15 year old girl on her period. Get over yourself.
Your poor child
ooh, publicly implicating one’s involvement for future investigation. the internetz is forever.
btw, i’m pretty sure you’re confusing NOT AN IDIOT for “chickenshit.” not everyone wants to publicly humiliate their children/grandchildren. maybe pageantgrandma can go knit you a super bling dress to hide your ugly. just sayin’.
Let me get this straight, you want this woman to put her grand daughter on a position where she can be ostrasized? Just because some people have no problem with parading their children around for attention(negative or positive), doesn’t mean everyone else is as willing.
Tori is adorable but not the most beautiful child in the world. Teaching her that looks are more important than anything else is disgusting. To teach her that littlegirls with fancy dresses are ugly is obviously designed to convince her than she only lost because ‘the ugly girls mom spent more’.
@Ali..don’t call Pagaent-grandma a bitch!
I bet her eyebrows don’t send small children and pets running.
Just fucking saying.
BedHeadJen…. You win win the food reference. Seriously made my morning.
In a position*
I know this has been brought up many times before and seems to be a constant thread here on the snarks, but why after a show airs do these Pageant mom’s appear and try to defend themselves. Do they as others have suggested google themselves to see what the top site is and then head straight there.
As for PG, she probably doesn’t give her real name to protect her granddaughters from crazy pageant moms that would be up in her face and in the kids. It’s like Vegas says what happens on the lists stays on the lists.
I love the way the Gasmii stick up for each other.
Ali, you put YOUR child on T&T, PG has not done that yet, so she can have all the privacy she wants. You my friend gave yours up when you signed up for the show.
You’re so right Classy Drunk, they knew what they were getting into and is 15 minutes of fame is worth it to them then they have no right to bitch and complain. I’m getting sick of everyone wanting to be on tv and be “famous”, please being made to look like an absolute ass really ask yourself is it worth it. You have neighbors, bosses and co-workers of the dads as well on here. Nice way to show off what a wack job you have for a wife.
Just wondering if Ali has even thought about long-term consequences or the problems large or small that will have a lasting effect on Tori? As a pageant parent, I am forever concerned about what I do, say, or decisions I make, and how it will effect my child.
And here I thought Ali would disappoint us and be able to use her big words.
I don’t understand why this woman would say such hateful things about other people and other people’s children on TV. The internet is forever. TV is forever. I don’t get why this lady doesn’t understand that her kids will be impacted by this eventually. I don’t think most busy moms even worry or care about such things. Maybe this person has some thought problems or wierd ideas.
I don’t know how anyone can be hateful like that as a grown up without having deep rooted issues themselves. No parents are perfect, but this lady put it all out there, and I see trouble. I am always willing to examine both sides to story. I am always willing to look at all kinds of perspectives for things in the media. I don’t believe everything I see on TV. After reading these boards, and seeing this Ali persons perspective, I do believe her character on Toddlers and Tiaras. I am sad to say that I actually think she’s worse than on TV. I thought she was acting on TV. I thought it was a troll on the boards.
Just be glad you aren’t the embarrassed family of Ali. She sure did a good job scaring people away from her in the future at pageants. If people aren’t scared they should at least be a little leary of her behavior and know the demonstrated outcomes.
I wonder when this will become dangerous with this whole tv show baby pageant , unstable personalities, make my kid famous jazz. When parents expose themselves on TV for the sake of their childrens future in pageantry, and it ends up humiliating and mocking those same parents, those motives have to go somewhere. “Just saying”…and “Don’t tell me you don’t think the same thing…everybody thinks this, nobody has the courage to say it…so there.”
I 100% agree with Clive. This is a lot bigger than a bad hairdo…If her hair would have been perfect….she would still be angry for not winning the big prize. She gets this way everytime her DD falls short of the big crown.
This week’s episode has a biter! Bella has been kicked out of 4 daycares because of biting – JACKPOT!
How do you stop that? Slapping or punching? Because I would embrace both if a 2 year old bit me.
Hello Titty and a biter! It really is Christmas in July!
@Closetfan-: )
Pageant-Grandma-lol, big words… I love you for that.
Oh good grief. Go away for a few days and look what happens! I was wrong. I thought Ali would fade because she is duller than our latest troll, but the woman preservers. Um, Ali… That means hangs in there.
Good comments everybody. What a cohesive (means stick together, Ali) group the Gasmi are.
Dear crabby– I would Suggestvthat biting is stopped by– well– PARENTING and DISCIPLINE but (with few, though notable, exceptions) we know those are foreign concepts to most t&t moms.
I’m a bit behind reading the recap this week, but saw this from Ali Shakespeare:
“BTW my dd is a star, and there are
Ugly children, sorry…”
Is this a haiku?
Also, she had me at “the whole world seen.”
Was MaKenzie’s beauty dress her usual white feathery one dyed blue? It looks awfully familiar.
Dearest Crabby,
My brother was a biter and my mom would put tabasco sauce on a spot and tell him to go for it. Me I would rebrace both of your suggestions and bite back
@Mrs. Cool.. no pageants are not fixed.. what I meant is just about every person in the pageant world has and does watch T&T.. even hair/makeup vendors, directors etc.. noone in their right mind is going to want her for a client or even at their pageant for that matter. A person like that real pageants wont fool with. As far as YOU Ali, you dont know anything about my niece or her winnings and you know that you made yourself look just like the idiot that you are. First learn to spell correctly and please refrain from using such language,, you must learn English first before you start slurring your words.. LOL.. Get on facebook sweetheart and see all the stuff people are saying about you with those comments about beautiful dresses for ugly girls.. you are ridicoulous!! Let me school you for a minute.. IF you go to a big pageant which obviously you dont or if you do then your daughter must not place well.. you have to have the whole package honey,, which includes good hair/makeup, the expensive dress, the flippers, the clothes, the pictures etc.. you get my drift right… well this is what wins.. Sorry to tell you, they are not going to pick a girl that has a ugly face and a beautiful dress.. nice try though.. I guess that makes you feel better about your daughter and why she dont win. You must be mad and call that a cop out to understand why your daughter got beat by someone else. LOL.. If you didnt want to get exposed like this then you shouldnt have went on the show.. simple as that. TV does edit you are right.. BUT not that much.. They can only create the drama that you give them!!!
oh and BTW, I would never put my child or anyone elses child name on a site.. YOU chose to do that with yourself and your dd’s when you went on the show. You knew you would be exposed of how you really are on this site and now you cannot deal with it. Blame only yourself!!
@Dear Crabby…bite them back.
I was a biter. My mom called her sister and asked her how to make me stop. I bit my brother one day and my mom bit me. I never bit anyone again. Or at least without their consent. If you know what I mean…and I think that you do.
Well, ClassyD, I know better now to ever get upset with you and say…
Well, you know.
Write, post, proofread.
That works well.
@SSC if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I think it’s our typos that really make us funny.
Can we all agree that the phrase “just sayin’” has really lost its teeth as the comment board closing zinger?
@Dear Tabby – I say Slap the taste out of their mouth!, that will stop the biting (can you tell I don’t have human kids?) My neice and nephews have been kicked out of every daycare they were in for biting and other things. Good thing they live in another state or they would have seen the back of my hand.
Be sure and watch T&T tonight, cause Shelby from Little Miss Perfect that had a snake with her, will be appearing! Go Shelby!!
@NWMTV if they add a hash tag does that give it more relevance?!?!!? #justsayin
Nope.
Still weak.
@notwithoutmytv — no more weak than COCK! as the battle cry for every hundredth post. Just sayin’.
I guess my last comment would have a little more pith if that battle cry had been used on this particular thread, but you know what I mean.
How do I change my name from showing and change it to something else?
ClassyD@108– if that’s the case, I’m friggin’ hilarious.
Dear Gasmi and fans,
I, too, am a pageant mom – a term since Toddlers and Tiaras has started that I don’t discuss with most people outside the industry. I have been around since the first “fall” was put on a child’s head. The industry has changed quite a bit but we have made friends all over the United States and have been able to visit different areas of the country. We always make a pageant weekend a mini vacay weekend.
I hope the general public realizes that the TnT producers recruit and follow the “crazies”. The major reputable pageant systems do not allow them to film. They value their contestants and their privacy. The parent’s of the big winners at nationals will not allow their children to be followed. No one could ever look perfect for 4 or 5 days of being followed by a film crew. Kids are kids. Throw in someone who is insane and delusional – you have great TV.
Most kids and families are not like the ones that are followed. My child is a straight A student, involved in lots of school club and activities. She cheers, plays softball, and she does pageants. It is not a way of life. We don’t live and breathe pageants. Is she prepared with the right clothes, pictures, coaches, Hair and makeup, etc? Heck yeah !!! Just like when she plays softball – she has the right equipment and practices with her team and at the batting cage. She is a very competitive, sweet child. We often have a talk that beauty pageants are all fun but it’s not “real”. Inside beauty is what is important. The rest of this is just play. Before you ask, yes she does quite well on the stage. I will not start quoting number of titles and crowns but let’s just say Grand and Ultimate Supreme with Guacamole and cheese on top are not foreign to her. As I said, she IS competitive in everything she does. She has always been that way. Do I think everything she touches will turn to gold? Um, No. If only life were that easy. Do I think she will be successful in whatever she chooses to do with her life, I believe and hope so. She is grounded and goal oriented.
We ARE your typical pageant family. We are financially secure. I am a professional. I have my bachelors but not my masters. (lol sorry had to throw that one in) My other kids are awesome as well. I could write you paragraph after paragraph on them too. This is just a hobby. No more and no less.
So Wednesday night when you tune in (as will I), please remember those folks are not the norm.
PS My child has a big fluffy expensive dress and consistently wins Most Beautiful and have perfect facial beauty scores. Not bragging but just letting Ali know that her theory is flawed. Hey, maybe that could be her thesis?
PSS Dane2 (thanks, Gasmi, love that) normally does a good job. She does do H/M at big nationals but she can only work with what she has been given. Falls eventually need to be laid to rest. That one needs to be taken out back and burned.
PSS #justsayin
Closet Pageant Mom – we do know that there are normal pageant families out there, but they are never on T&T because really, it would be boring! Even when they do show a normal family, it tends to be a snore of a show…hard to snark on good people. So no worries, we know there are some normal people out there…and we can prove it because they come on this site and write with proper grammar and in true paragraphs (like you)! Glad you’re here!
@Closet Pageant Mom: Dear Crabby beat me to it… but again, please accept my very sincere gratitude for not murdering our language and taking a giant whiz on sentence structure.
Also, you didn’t wish eternal damnation on us, which is always neighborly.
@Dear Crabby and @notwithoutmytv, thank you for your kind words. After rereading my post, there (not their) are a few errors I see(not seen or done seen). So thanks for not getting the red ink pen out. ( That always gives me flashbacks to Honors English in high school).
I will also not be wishing you eternal damnation. As you said, it is not nice.
Thanks for the welcome and looking forward to the next recap.
@ ClosetPageantMom…you are right on about Ali…she will not take her DD to most of the bigger pageants because she is not prepared. She usually only takes her to local pageants where most of the judges have seen her before, and she has a better chance of winning the top title.
Let me also point out that the child needs to step it up, as she is not four years old anymore, and just being cute doesn’t get it. She needs to run (and model) with the big girls now and her skills in that department are not even on the average level. We all love our little Divas, but you need a wake up call if you think that she is so facially beautiful.
Closet– a handful of us “normal pageant folks” do post here (a few moms, me, even a director or 2) and because we are normal, we are generally well-received. Most here do understand that the show is cast and edited for maximum craziness– in fact, that’s sort of the point. If you choose to allow yourself and your child to be on this trainwreck, well, it follows that wen it turns out that you’re portrayed as the caboose, or the car full of un-pumped port-a-johns, you really forfeit any right to be offended.
Fed up– I am with you on the rest of it, but there is nothing wrong with mostly competing locally, either. We do the same. My granddaughter does 4-5 big nationals a year, and otherwise competes locally to stay “in practice”. For us it has nothing to do with any perceived scoring advantage, and everything to do with staying within our means, and her interest level.
*Swoons*@Closet Pageant Mom…paragraphs, punctuation marks AND proper sentence structure!!!!!!
. I that post is better than anything I’ve written here
. I’m at a lost why these pageant moms and relatives feel that if they are on television they shouldn’t be judged. We all understand the show is heavily edited but the editors can’t put words in your mouth.
Welcome welcome welcome
@rebecca I think you will need to create a new account – I don’t believe it’s possible to change the name on an existing account.
at PG===I agree, but my point was that she is boasting about how great she is and she really isn’t. She has always been on stage acting prissy and sweet, but has never been proan to model on stage. She jumps around and is prissy. She talks about other pageant girls, dresses and such but doesn’t buy dresses. Hasn’t owned one in years. There are quite a few National level pageants in her area, and she steers away from them because of the competition.
When I read above about the ideas for biting the first thing that came to mind was duct tape
I have nothing to add to this conversation other than I agree with the rational pageant voices posting here.
I don’t usually pay much attention to the casting process but this season I’ve been sitting back on Facebook analyzing the dynamics. There is so much drama leading up to each episode, by moms desperate to have their kids followed. The directors play it up for weeks trying to get people to attend. The moms post about how their daughter is so amazing T&T was begging to follow them (and in every case where T&T is begging, the mom is insane, pure drama or both). Some moms are so desperate for their kid to appear on tv they will drive several states for a crappy pageant from a no name system. The show just brings the insanity wherever it goes.
As a rule we don’t do T&T pageants but I’d break it for a Tonya pageant lol
Just saw this article about one of tonights featured kids:
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/toddler-overcomes-suspected-brain-injury-wear-tiara-tlc/story?id=16853893
Stagemom! Please do I would love to have you guys!! I have been asking my girl Crabby to come check one of my pageants out , she would love it wouldnt she? I have been an active reader for many years ( Winter Beauties), I am amazed by her talent and several other on this site I read! You know this is fun for me, I love pageants and I do NOT make my living off directing them . I am an insurance agent so this is just my hobby also!
Welcom Closet Pageant Mom! I do love when rational pageant moms come to visit!
We all know that I don’t have the best spelling/grammar, but then again I am not one of the Delusiona moms that are living vicariously their children…
I have not been posting in the past few weeks because well I honestly have not had much to say. MR Z is back home and he shakes his head everytime the show is on. So I just DVR them…I am about to watch tonights. Crabby had me at “biting. this child has been kicked out of 5 schools”…I have also been biting my tounge slightly with Ali and her comments…I don’t really want to get into another “war” with one of these moms. That last one took alot out of me!
Again, I say welcome CPM!!
Also, Tonya, it is nice to see that you comment as well! If you were to ever bring a pageant to Washington State, I would totally come and watch
Heck I might even pay to put my 18 month old neice in it
I have to say that NOT all families that are shown on Toddlers & Tiara’s are nuts, crazies, or full of drama. I dont miss an episode, we go watch pageants all the time, and I have seen some big top girls that win big, one being my granddaughter and they were very well mannered and did a fantastic job. I know TV does edit some but they can only create the drama that you give them. T&T mostly does get crazy pageant people.. they have to or noone would watch.. BUT I do have to say NOT all pageant people are like that.. We have also used Dane Dane, and she does great work.. Like someone said, that hairpiece was a mess and there was nothing you could do to help it. As far as ugly girls beautiful dresses.. Ali, not sure where you are getting this. You must do local pageants .. nationals you have to have it all. We love pageants as well, but they do not and will not ever take over our lives. My grandaughter does them quite a bit but she also is involved in alot other activities as well. When she is ready to quit then we will be ready as well. As long as she says do them we will. I dont believe in some of these moms forcing their kids to do them. I have seen quite a bit of it… so sad. BUT I have also seen lots of girls that love it including my granddaughter. As we all need to remember this is a reality show like anything else.. if there wasnt any drama no one would watch.
I really liked the two older girls in tonight’s episode and their mothers, too.
@Ms.Cool I agree. I don’t think we’ve ever seen one of the moms tell their child to “have fun.”
@ Closet Pageant Mom — Please stick around and keep commenting! You have no idea how refreshing your posts are for us. While it’s fun to watch and talk about the crazy, it is very comforting to hear from rational people like yourself and Pageant-grandma who demonstrate that the human race is not quite as doomed as this show often makes me fear it is.
ACK!!! This is what happens when I decide to hit the beach for a family vacation, you all go and pull these 100+ comments I have to catch up on
I just think there are no more words to add to this, lol, except my girls are the most beautiful things in the word
How could I create such beautiful creatures? And damn, I need to get The girls new falls before some h/m person tells me what pieces of shit they are!
I did notice MaKenzie’s dress and I was SO glad to see something different that the white one! Someday we will head South for a pageant, it would be fun! But first I have to go somewhere where @ClosetFan can watch
My daughter is a national level contestant. She is also one of the “chosen few” as Ali refers to. Dane Dane has a real first name, but the girls call her Dane Dane. She has provided hair and makeup for my dd for every national we have been to, and my daughter wins most beautiful and poise and personality all the time. She has many supreme taco grande with extra cheese wins. Anyone that would accuse someone else of sabatoge is just a sore looser! Just like all the crap about wins being bought. That is bs!! While Val, Cristina, and Dane have a huge influence in the TX, they do not pick the winners at all the pageants. There are several other coaching groups that do very well. Moms that claim this are just crying that there dd didn’t live up to their expectations. When you hand a h/m vendor a fall that is in that bad of shape you are the one at fault. I’m shocked she was able to make that piece of trash look as good as she did. Don’t blame Dane because you were too cheap to buy a good quality fall and then too ignorant to care for it properly. Oh, and my daughter has a beautiful poofy dress that probably cost more than your pos car and I’m willing to bet my dd would beat yours any day. Oh, but I’m sure the coaching lessons, top notch wardrobe, beautiful face, and sparkling personality would have nothing to do with that, now would they? Just sayin! If you can’t run with the big girls without blaming every loss on someone else, maybe pageants aren’t for you.
Am wondering how many “pageant mothers” are on welfare.
Am also wondering what it takes to run a pageant – heck, some of the people running them look very creepy.
Think the entry fees and salaries of the self-proclaimed judges ought to be made public .
Also think a license should be reaquired when you make big bucks rich off child labor……
make that “required” and omit “rich”
am typing too fast.
All I can say is, when my Sudanese war orphan gets here, all you pageants moms should just not even load up the minvan, because my kid is going to BRING IT. When I sent the $2,000 adoption fee, under ‘comments’, I wrote “Child will be a full time glitz pageant contestant, so please pick one out for me that is facially gifted.” I– I mean ‘we’, are going to win, Win, WIN! The confetti shall rain down on me, I mean ‘us’, like Heaven’s tears of joy.
No, not all pageant people are on welfare.. pageants are like any other activity or sport that your child may be involved in. I love when people start assuming things that they have no clue about. Just gets on my nerves..
Will you name the child N’tweethowtmahnienie or T’vym’touhtiwton and call said child Tim?
Also, please post pictures of you rocking your/your tiara.
I think the second one. Because it has two apostrophes, and is wicked hard to say. That way, the media will come up with some easily remembered name on its own that will infect America’s consciousness like equine encephalitis.
When you win one of the Supreme Full Size Not Mini Master Class Really Really Mega categories, they DO give out a crown for you and a crown for the kid, right???
@notwithoutmymtv…not that’s funny.
@eddie You have no clue.
@Beth HaHa. That will teach you. I hope you had a good time.
@NWMTV- Please let us know when the “whole package” arrives. I’ve spent the day bedazzling a bag of pixie stix as a welcome gift.
Well Ali if you think all the wins are bought you better get used to it because the only way you are getting back into the pageant community is by buying a tiara and taking a picture of your daughter wearing it outside the facility. No one will want you around after this. You constant screaming about “being honest” and “Standing up for yourself” is ridiculous. You are simply another over glorified glitz mom who blames your daughters loss on everyone but yourself. You also never learned how to appreciate any title your daughter receives. When she gets older try doing to prestigious pageants like Miss America/teen or Miss USA/Teen where there is only ONE winner. They are also based off true beauty and inner beauty. You are a horrible role model to your child. Also, anyone who knows anything about pageantry could look at that fall and understand you were personally responsible for that mess. I would have left the fall off and sent you packing.
Tonya -
how much did your pageant make off homely small kids made up to look like hookers?
And their mothers: shrieking sociopaths and/or narcicissts.
They abuse their children, they ought to be charged accordingly.
Right along with the pageant directors who will have cleared enough to pay the fines for everyone.
@eddieblue: how do you figure? i’m not sure how allowing a child to participate in pageants is abuse. there’s a big difference between forcing and allowing. many kids WANT to be in pageants. i never was allowed to, but I WANTED to. badly. in fact, my mother would have been nicer to have allowed me to participate and then make my own decision. if i had done it and hated it, i would’ve quit. that simple. yes, there are parents who scream at and abuse their children in pageants — and they certainly should have to answer for their behavior — but there are parents who are abusive in all KINDS of activities and sports, and it is not limited to pageants. parents also force kids to participate in all sorts of sports and activities … you know kids DO get forced to join little league, cheer, play soccer, dance, etc …. whatever the parent wants them to do. and most children begin their sport because it was something their parent wanted them to do, and most wind up loving it. so it’s not really fair to demonize one sort of activity when that sort of (albeit, despicable) behavior ABSOLUTELY occurs in all sorts of areas.
@Ali, although I don’t hold a Master’s Degree like you claim to do, I am a certified ESL teacher. I know many ESL students who have a better command of the English language than you do. You really should consider ESL courses, since you are struggling with basic English spelling and grammar.
Tonya, I’m in Texas and will happily fill in for Dear Crabby at one of your pageants and then report back ingreat and glorious detail. My credentials? I have two advanced degrees. They have absolutely nothing to do with pageants (or psychology) but in this crowd, on this thread it seems important to point out.
